We understand your feedback regarding the Xfinity app. The Xfinity Stream app is currently not available for direct download on Sony BRAVIA TVs through the Google Play Store. This means that to access Xfinity streaming services, you will need to use an external device such as a Roku stick, as you mentioned. You also can use the built-in Chromecast feature to cast the content from the Xfinity Stream app on your mobile device to this TV. Thanks for choosing Sony. ~Earl

A Perfectly Fine TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a cinephile by any means, but I upgraded from a 30" TV when I moved into a new apartment and as far a modest upgrade goes, it's...fine, I guess? It's essentially an entry-level 4K TV: it *technically* does HDR but not very well, and I wish it was a bit brighter (or at least had less glare when a light was shined in its general direction). For what it offers, it's fine, if maybe a little expensive. Can't comment on the sound quality, because I immediately hooked it up to my soundbar.

To help maximize the picture quality, please try turning off the Light Sensor in the picture settings and switch to the Vivid Picture Mode in bright rooms, as this will help the screen reach its maximum brightness. We also appreciate you bringing up the sound change announcements. We understand that those notification sounds when adjusting the volume or changing inputs can be distracting.
To easily disable these sounds and ensure a quieter experience, you can usually turn off the TV's system sounds by navigating to:
Settings → System → Sounds→ System Sounds (and set this to Off or Mute).
Please give that a try! We hope this simple adjustment allows you to enjoy the TV completely.

TV Display was Great

There have been a continuing issue with its relationship with old SONY sound bars and with the use of an Apple TV to interface with streaming services. Sony tech support was finally able to resolve the issues and get everything working correctly and consistently. Sound bar issue had to be resolved by replacing the 19 year old device with a compatible SONY sound system.
