    Perfection

This is a close to perfect as you can get I think. First, the picture settings out of the box are near perfect. Most people will probably not have to touch them. The acoustic sound is awesome if using in bedroom or smaller room. Lost of low end, and rich sound. Super thin. The new Google 8.0 OS is super fast. Updated remote. eARC port. USB 2.0 and High speed 3.1 ports. The picture blows me away even on SD content. Processer is so good. The price cam down 700.00 over previous gen model too. Expensive but the best picture you can get I think. LG's new TV are great but Sony's Master series are still king.

Sony plus OLED is a great combination. The picture is awesome. The sound is the best I’ve ever heard from a flat screen TV but, what blew me away is the remote control. Not only does is control the TV but when you switch inputs it switches controls to the input including Apple TV (which is no longer necessary) and Fire TV which is a total different control technology. The cable tray and input covers give it a clean look from behind. The stand is too short to place a sound bar in front of the TV without blocking the viewing area but, you really don’t need one.

This is a gorgeous TV!! The picture is amazing!! When 4K first cane out, it popped more, yes, bit it just seemed like it had a "on set" look to everything... is the best way I can describe it. This Sony Master Class Bravio with the X1 Ultimate chipset is like looking out a window if it's an outdoor scene! It has a depth to it that gives it a 3D like feel inward. 100, if you are considering an OLED.. the "almost oled's" just dont come close once you see with your on wn eyes. And though won't be using them, the speakers built in to this thin thin set.. are amazingly good as well!! I truly mean it regarding the "almost oled" sets, that's what I was originally going in to purchase... Went in looking to purchase a new tv for my grandpa.. He has an amazing 9.1 home theater surround sound set up and he had last updated his tv several years ago with a Vizio 4K. Wasn't a bad set, but, the time had come. Was looking at the LG Nanocell series as well as the Samsung QLED sets. Budget wise, looking to stay between $800 - $1200. Of course it's always wise to check out the current "open box" deals... On a back wall up top, hung between a Hisense and a TCL was a Sony. I looked at the tag... Sony Bravia X1 Ultimate Master Class Series A9G OLED 55".. price? $1,083!! No need to even go any further, was in perfect condition, no marks whatsoever, had remote and power cable..all it was missing was.. the box (good, is usually a pita anyhow) and the stand (already have a raised mounted stand waiting for it.. so no worries!) At that price we were looking at a Much better set for less than the "almost but not quite OLED" Nanocell & QLED sets that were the best within the budget available! As much as I liked the Nanocell especially, Once compared to an OLED.. no contest. And when the price of the OLED was better than the Nanocell was leaning towards... Ring me up, cash it out, let's load it in the back seat (which was much easier minus the box! Lol.. and they wrapped it up in some quality bubble wrap.. perfect!) Overall the set still wows every time it ts viewed, Grandpa loves it! Even though it's a 2019 release..... Worth it!!

Sony 55-A9G OLED has fantastic color and picture clarity. Sound from the screen is phenomenal. High and low frequencies are well articulated and can be adjusted to your taste. I haven't connected the TV to the internet so the 'smart' part of the TV has not been exercised. The down side is the TV will not turn on except for the first time in the morning. Otherwise, it take several attempts using the remote control to turn on. The Sony remote control channel selection does not work. Contacting Best Buy by telephone is impossible. Their AI programming takes the caller everywhere but to a real person! Bad news! Not user friendly!

The picture has an excellent natural look. In a moderately lit room I have no issues with the picture not being bright enough. I have it paired with a Sony amp and core speakers and the setup was straight forward. The remote is very nice. The stand is solid and wobble free. The TV does sit very close to the stand top; no room for a sound bar in front of the tv without blocking a portion of the picture. It will take two people to assemble and set up on your stand or to wall mount. It seems solidly built and all the back panels once snapped in place provide a clean modern look.

This Sony replaced my 10 yr old Sony. I didn't know technology changed so much. The picture is fantastic and sharp. Blacks are black. The sound comes out of the picture, no speakers. 40 watts gives great sound. I had no idea you say "Hay Google" and YouTube comes up to display what ever you want. Unreal ! There are free Apps that give unlimited Free movies. Really Free. I know this is an expensive TV, but the technology is worth it. The picture is like looking out of a window.

This tv was to replace a 58” plasma tv and while it’s hard to come close to a high end plasma, it is pretty darn close. The vivid colors and clear sound is fantastic. The tv was purchased for my parents who are in their 80’s. They enjoyed their plasma tv for many years but had to have the sound just about maxed to be able to hear what’s being said. One has hearing damage due to being in the army ballistic’s unit, so he has to wear the highest end hearing aids and the other is losing her hearing. They were asking me about getting a sound bar as well when I was shopping around for a new tv for them, but I told them to hold off. Glad I did. This has really great sound and they only need to turn it up about a quarter of the way and they hear it fine. As for the picture, well it’s a Sony. I have long been a fan of Sony picture quality. While I myself am not one to watch tv very often, thus I personally haven’t splurged for a Sony more then once, I did love that tv for its picture quality. So, while looking around at the different models, I kept coming back to the Sony. It became the benchmark by which I compared any others and could not find a single brand that had nearly as clear and deep vivid colors as the Sony brand. Sony is well known for its quality and innovation. They can last many years when we’ll taken care for. The price may be a tad higher then some brands but you are buying a premium tv and you get what you pay for. They both love the tv and I enjoy it as well when I visit each week. They truly didn’t think I could find any tv as nice as their plasma tv and are so happy with the purchase. This model is also the highest rated 55” tv by Consumer Reports latest 2021 buying guide.

With the proper 4K source, PQ on this TV is close to perfection. Blacks are truly black and menus are fast. HDR and Dolby Vision capable. Just watched Avengers: Endgame. Looks like you're there. Got it on sale too.

Really love this Sony OLED! The picture is amazing right out of the box - no color adjustments was needed. The set up is straightforward and everything can be run off the provided remote control. I have a surround sound set up, so watching movies is now similar to being in a theater. Always have preferred Sony's and this Master Series does not disappoint! Enjoy.

I am very impressed with picture quality of this TV. It was very easy to set up and has many features. It has plenty of HDMI inputs so I can hook up several accessories. It is relatively easy to figure out the menu’s and I have added apps that did not come standard. You can also add your favorite apps to the Input section for easy access. I would recommend this and I would purchase this again.

Picture is truly amazing; sound does not require any additional enhancements. We love watching this TV and it looks beautiful in our study. No thick Frame; just a very modern slim rectangle on the wall. Our Best Buy Magnolia salesman tracked our purchase and was able to save us several hundred dollars when the TV went on sale shortly after we bought it. Great service.

Sure, this TV is a few years old now but it is still better than virtually every TV made. The OLED panel itself is the best of the best, with higher brightness and color saturation than most other OLEDs, and Sony's motion control software works wonders on images. The real shocker though is the audio quality. This uses the panel itself as a massive speaker dome and sounds better than most TV sound bars. In fact, it it has the ability to act as a center channel speaker. Which is nice for both clean and tidy install on a wall and sound that really does seem to come from the middle of the image (instead of below it like a sound bar would). The only real negative is that it uses Android TV OS and it does not seem to be getting updated to more recent versions.

It is fair to say that all 4K televisions look pretty good, but it is also true that OLED 4K sets are simply outstanding. And Sony has added some special features to the A9G Master Series that will add even more to your enjoyment. As with any digital TV, there is a CPU inside and the X1 chip in this set is an amazing bit of tech. In addition to the usual true black that OLED offers, the A9G presents richer colors and true balance of colors across the screen because of the CPU. The A9G also has special Netflix enhanced settings that can be utilized at the users discretion. On top of this, Sony's approach to audio is unique and results in the best in-set sound quality of any flat screen TV I've ever heard. You can certainly use the A9G with a home theater system or a sound bar (every connector you might want is present) but if you can achieve perfectly placed sound with good bass and plenty of volume out of the box. The A9G also features nice extras such as covers over the connector ports, clever cable management and a remote control that feels like it belongs with a high end set such as the A9G.

The colors did not need adjustment,I remember we had to have the last one calibrated, which was a great picture, but this is beyond great.Out of the box ready to go , you can make any changes easily, went with new 8K cables, I think they elevate from what I had.Sony still the King

We like the picture, the size might be a bit bigger than necessary for our space, but with a little rearranging, it's working. The smart sound (that keeps the commercials from being so much louder than the program does not seem to work they way we hoped, but it could be the service). We do see a lag/fuzziness in the picture when the service is not 4K and we have plenty of stations that do not broadcast in the HD. So this may mean we look into a more expensive option or different options for viewing. Oh technology... Overall we like the Sony product. If the smaller version of the OLED would have been available, we may have returned this and purchased that one. We are told a smaller one could be available sometime in 2021. If you are considering updating to a smart tv, the OLED has a very pleasing picture and handles the blacks well. We are very happy overall with the tv. We were able to use our current tv stand and not hang it on the wall, but we are finding getting to the connections can be a bit cumbersome when on a stand. Easy to set up, and purchased on sale!

Never expected to having a top of the line 55" OLED 4K Tv in my bedroom, but that is exactly what happened, and there are no regrets, as the set/remote are easy to use, and the picture is outstanding! Great job Sony! I do wish the remote was backlit, but if that is my only complaint, ....

I’ve had this TV for over a year now. I purchased it for my PS5 not knowing anything about the existence of the 2.1 HDMI inputs. At 1st I thought I made a mistake because I wanted a TV that will be compatible with everything that the PS5 has to offer. After watching my 1st movie while waiting on my PS5 to arrive, I was hooked. Then my console arrive and there was no looking back. Eventually I bought the Sony X900H only because it was on sale. If not I was very pleased with my A9G and didn’t see much of a difference in gaming performance. Sound quality is the best I’ve heard on a TV without a sound bar. As for picture. It’s a Sony, Enough said. It is by far my best TV.

Wow! I had intended to get a 4K tv in a year or 2, but my 11 year old Bravia LCD decided otherwise. I thought I'd get a 4K LCD, but after seeing the OLED's (SONY & LG) I decided to expand my budget. Deciding between the 2 OLEDs wasn't easy. But after reading and viewing online reviews & looking at them in person, I went with the SONY. I ain't looking back. Picture-wise, it is beautiful right out of the box. I went online to get calibrations. They weren't too far off from the factory setting. I made a few minor tweaks to please my eye. The audio was different. Sounded fine with the screen being the speaker, Once I realized I could customize the audio for each sound mode...well, all the better. Has to be the best sounding TV I've heard or owned. If you're something of a cinephile, you'll probably still want a soundbar w/subwoofer. I'll probably do that in the near future. I'm not a gamer, so I won't comment on that aspect. Pricey? Yeah, somewhat. Worth it? Oh yeah!
