Best television I've ever owned. Remote control is great, too. Calibration settings out of the box is excellent. There's even a Netflix calibration when you use. their app which is available in the set. Built-in speakers is better than most TV's of this style.

When I bought my LGCX a couple years ago, I was shocked at just how good it looked. Everything is so bright & Vibrant. The Picture was the best I had ever seen, I could not believe how good the picture was. To my surprise, this is exactly how I felt when I hooked up this TV. The QDOLED takes the colors to a whole other level. They are so much more vivid and vibrant that when I sat it next to our LGCX, the LG looked washed out in comparison which is insane considering how amazing the LG looks! Love this TV and would recommend it if you can find it on sale. I do not believe the price I paid ($2,500) is worth it. Yes its amazing and I do love it but for 55in, this should not be more than $2,000 even with how good it is. Honestly, you could get two LGC2s for the price of one of these. Also the stand is horrible and huge. I had to pick up an 3rd party stand just to be able to sit it where I wanted it to be. Lastly the TV is absurdly heavy. I think it weighed it at 50lbs or something crazy like that. Not a problem once its mounted, but getting it setup is 100% not doable with 1 person. I tried, I did it, I regret doing it alone lol. Trust me, get it installed if you have no one to help you. Besides these reasons, the picture is by far the best on the market until the new ones come out. Also the sound is surprisingly good for TV speakers.

Bought as a replacement for a 2015 Sony Bravia that supported 3D. Original one was "smart" but supported by far few apps now since it was not Android based. The OLED panel in the A95K stand out against all others except the newest Samsung using the same one. The colors and both blacks and whites look remarkably better than my former LED and the OLEDs used in other models, and the same equipment / streaming services used on this look noticably better. Unboxing and connecting the stand was easy but takes two people. The directions are very clear (no words, but very good images that show each step) and the slide-off box design is great. Only minor grip is once you cut the plastic straps, they aren't reusable to ever box it again. Sound on the TV is unexpectedly great. The unit's speakers produce better sound than I've heard on any other TV model. Out of the box with no adjustments it stands out and after calibration and easy adjustment, its even better. An added plus came after I connected my soundbar, a Sony HT-ST7, also bought in 2015. I was expecting to replace it too, but this TV makes it sound far better than the other TV did, both for bass tones and overall. It may not be the top of the line sound anymore, but it did breathe new life into it. The Android TV functions are good. The expected streaming apps install, although some extra apps were included that I did remove. The only challenge step is entering credentials for services with the kludgy interfaces that most electronics use. The home page is good, setup was pretty easy, and menu layout for settings is good. What could be better: The remote. Its decent and lights up which is useful, and there is a mic on it for voice use. But, there are also branded buttons for Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video, services that buys may or may not subscribe to. The Bravia Core service is included, so its button on the remote seems logical. The remote feels solid and is functional, but also lacks number keys. And, the "social remote" my 2015 Sony included was nice because it had more of a trackpad type surface and I became accustomed to sliding vs pressing. The stand. Its good and lets the TV barely above stand top when sitting vs hung. Attaching it is simple and it looks better than expected, but the texture shows dust very quickly. The weight is good (roughly the same weight as the TV), but the finish could be a little more premium while still keeping the matte black color. Optional legs would also be welcome, especially by folks would want to position a soundbar in front of the unit. Gesture Controls: hand signals can be used to pause playback, forward/reverse play, adjust volume, etc. They're a little clunky to use and at times overly sensitive: raising an arm unexpectedly engages the feature sometimes. 3D Support: 3D support was dropped from newer TVs a few years back. With an accumulated collection of 3D movies, missing support means keeping an old TV around to view those in 3D, brand of new purchase doesn't matter, none support 3D. Input: any new model TV could use additional HDMI ports supporting the newest features, so this is not Sony unique. Panel buttons: there are zero power / reset or adjustments on the unit. I managed to lock the tv up (freeze it) and had to power cycle it by unplugging it. What is good/really good? Picture: quality and controls -- a lot of options, including imax and streaming-calibrated options. Sony cannot be topped for picture and their adjustment engines. Sound: amazing with or without a sound bar. Sony again excels. Camera: light adjustment based on room lighting is a nice touch. Integration: channels from other streaming apps integrate into the same channel list as over the air channels. Each app gets its own section vs mixed together, but having them in on place is nice. Soundbar control integration is also good as expected and the sound options of the bar can be controlled using the TV settings; this also worked on my 2015 model but the integration has been made nicer. The TV is a great purchase. It is for sure pricer than other brands, but its Sony's top of the line model. The features and quality are worth the cost if the price is within the means of the consumer. Any gripes are minor and the A95K at this point cannot be equaled.

I've been a Sony customer for more than three decades going all the way back to rear projection and solid picture tube XBR beasts weighing several 100 pounds to a more reasonable sized 3LCD DLP 720P unit to the classic XBR 8 LCD which was THE state of the art almost 15 years ago to a more modest 900F LCD unit of the last few years. I stayed with LCD panels as I wanted to see how the OLED technology would progress. Having dreams of Pioneer Kuro plasmas and those inky blacks and contrast I was always wondering if the similar panel presentation of OLED would solve the brightness and burn in issues. Well, looks like to these hopeful eyes that's the case with at least the brightness for the most part. We'll just have to see about burn in down the road. Sony has taken the new Samsung QD-OLED panel tech and fashioned their own Sony masterpiece version of home display technology. It was a shaky start to things as the first unit brought home some 6 hours out of the box begin to flash the 4 red power led blinks of death. A quick call to the Geek squad rep and it was decided after my power restart and a hard reset to just bring the unit back for a swap out with a second unit in stock. Fingers crossed and about a month down the road all normal. This second sample works flawlessly and has received the latest firmware update without a hitch. I purchased a couple of years of additional inexpensive warranty at Sony just in case. I guess after all these many years I was due a lemon sample. It happens. I've not read outsized amounts of complaints of failure issues over the past year or so these units have been on the market. So, I'll move on to the good stuff. I could continue ad nauseum to fill this review with ridiculous superlatives and descriptions. But it's already been said in these posted consumer reviews here at Best Buy and all across the professional media. Simply, this is the finest in-home display image I've ever seen. Period. There is some kind of organic "rightness" to the presentation. But it's not hyped. It's completely natural looking. You get all the best of OLED with some additional kick. SDR cable TV can look really cinematic. HDR eye candy on You Tube could lock you in a dream state for hours if you let it. Your favorite Blu-ray or 4K steaming show looks so good you don't want it to end. You enjoy experiencing the show not just watching it. Colors have so many variations that the images have texture. You feel the image not just view it. Let's hope this new display technology settles in. It gives OLED tech some added boost into the future. And, of course, the prices will come down eventually. While there is the Sony "tax" to deal with these 2022 A95K units are already on sale and may go down even further when the 2023 A95J finally comes to market. Bravo to Sony! Ok, that's it. I need to get back to my 4K Blu-ray disc of Kirk Douglas' Spartacus in Dolby Vision!!

Just set up my new TV. OMG...the picture quality, color and sound are all phenomenal. The clarity is unbelievable! Just some FYI...the box is really heavy due to the solid stand, which is included. It's also really heavy to move once the stand is added. I intend to wall mount it to a mount I already have. You will need to buy the correct size screws to attach to the back as the ones included on the back are too short to use. I think they are there to just cover the vesa holes. Again, the color saturation is remarkable. I also used a utube video to adjust the custom settings. Worth the $$$$. You do get what you pay for!

Excellent television. Plenty bright, super clear, and beautiful picture. Sound has a bit too much bass for my liking even when turning it all the way down with equalizer, and it is surprisingly heavy. I also have an S95 and have to say I prefer the S95 a bit more, but this is still a solid TV

I love the quality and pixture on this tv. The 120fps is such an improvement from my old samsung. The color eange is also really clean. The dark colors are significantly better too. It took a moment to adjust my eyes to the OLED but it is worth it

Our 1st TV upgrade in 11 years. Upgrade previous from Sony Bravia KDL-46EX723; never failed us or had any issues and it still looks great. We knew wanted another Sony as our next TV upgrade. And we knew OLED provided the best picture/color quality & accuracy etc. We've followed TV tech closely for the past 5 years. Starting with the Sony's first OLED AE1. We knew that was the kind of TV we wanted. But at the time. It didn't have the features we wanted. Such as: HDMI 2.1, ALLM, VRR. 4K/120, a fix to combat the issue of OLED burn-in / imagine retention. Brightness issues(nits). We waited patiently throughout the years with each new iterations of Sony's OLED master series. And finally here we are in summer of 2022. Sony's next OLED and first to implement QD(quantum dot) technology with OLED. We have QD-OLED. The TV we've been waiting for is here. The first Sony OLED to contain all the specs and addresses all the issues I wanted on a Sony TV. HDMI 2.1 ALLM VRR 4K/120 QD-OLED to combat the brightness issues conventional W-OLED had. Heatsink - to help combat the burn-in/imagine retention. While there are many more specs/features to note on the A95K. These were mainly what I was looking for. Picture quality looks amazing, especially 4K HDR content. I am wowed. Colors look accurate, wider specturm of colors that I seeing not present previously. Particles and effects pop out like neon lights. Out of the box preset picture modes are amazing. The overall TV is unmatched, it is considered by most TV enthusiasts to be the best TV in 2022. The acoustic surface audio+ is really nice also. While a dedicated soundbar/system will always be better. The audio provided is good enough and better than any TV audio out there. Yes this is on the expensive side no doubt. OLED generally cost more. Add the first iterations of QD-OLED and the Sony tax. You are paying for all the best of the best. From all the specs/features this TV has the offer. You are paying for Sony's video processing; which is considered to be the best in market. TLD As an A/V enthusiast, I can say, you pay for what you get. If you have the budget and looking for the best looking and best performance TV and Look no further. Highly recommended.

Sony is still the king of TVs. The best QD OLED picture quality and Sony XR processing. Can’t be beat if you’re willing to spend to have the best, at least until the A95L is available. The only thing it’s missing is 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and separate SDR and HDR settings. However this sorely loses any value proposition except for being the cheaper outgoing model and won’t blow the competition away in most content. This is for the cinema lover.

This TV still holds against 2024 LG G4 and Samsung 95D. The colors are vibrant and upscaling is top notch.

I'll admit I am very new to the OLED crowd. I got my first one a couple months ago. It was a Sony 55" A80k. It was amazing and I still have it, but wanted to get either an A95k or A95l. Well when I went to Best Buy the New 55" A95k rang up for only $1567 in the store, despite it still saying $2499 online. That decided it for me. So I got a brand new 55" A95k with a 5 year for about $2000, less than the price of their open box ones. This $1567 in store price worked at 2 different stores, but your mileage may vary if you try. And it's been amazing! Everything just works exactly like I want it. I have a somewhat complicated set up. Hdmi 1 is my DirecTV. Hdmi 3 is my PS5, Hdmi 4 is my Xbox series x. And I still had 2 more devices to connect, but only 1 more port. So I'm running an hdmi auto switcher. Hdmi 2 to the switch with my Nintendo switch and PC to that. And with auto picture mode turned on for #2 the TV auto switches between game for the switch, and graphics for the PC. And if course the picture is the best I've seen. Up scaling my DirecTV looks like 4k. The motion is top notch which Sony is known for. And like I said everything else just works. I can't think of a single bad thing about this TV. The stand is very heavy but that's great once it's installed, much more sturdy than legs. If you want the best TV out there the A95k and A95l are the ones!

The picture and performance of this TV is fantastic. Once all of the eco mode settings are disabled, the picture is very bright and vibrant. I have no complaint at all with the picture. However, the AR coating on this QD-OLED really does not like anything touching it. When assembling this TV, wear gloves. Seriously - do not get fingerprints on the screen. Also, this TV does not have feet that elevate it off a surface. It has a detachable slab that sticks out either directly in front of the TV or directly behind it. Maybe that works for you, maybe not, but if you're not planning on wall mounting this and have a sound bar, this could be an issue. Other than those two concerns, the TV is fantastic.

When I first saw this tv I knew that I wanted it especially to replace my old X900E Sony tv… The 120hz and ability to be optimized with my PS5 are just a few of the bonus features because the cinematic color is way better than any other tv in its class. One of the best tvs created in the past decade especially by Sony. I actually believe that this tv was made for almost anyone from movie lovers to gamers.

Best TV I've had personally, Especially great for HDR content like my 4k Blu-ray's, Bought my model Open-Box Fair and there's very minimal Burn In. 10/10

Buying process was very good - salesperson was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I love my new tv and all its features. Picture quality is excellent. It is in a bright room and color (even blacks) are realistic. Sound is good but not great. Fairly user friendly. Had Best Buy deliver and set up and process was exceptional.

Amazing picture. Even 1 year in this TV is fantastic. The brightness is just fine if you’re debating this vs the new qd-oleds. You don’t need much calibrations to get a brilliant picture in Custom, and Dolby Vision looks great out of the box. Sony’s up scaling and smoothing work great as well.

The picture and sound on this TV is amazing. The stand is very sturdy and stable. My only complaint is with the remote. You can’t enter a channel number directly (you can only go up and down) and there is no button to swap between two channels

I was skeptical purchasing since my living room gets a lot of natural light. But this tv is very bright compared to other OLEDs. The colors are amazing. And it provides a great depth image. I'm glad i decided to spend the extra $ on this Sony.
