Stay clear of Google OS it stinks!

For the money spent I expected that the Google OS would perform better than it had. The Google OS lags, is not responsive with the remote control. It is lacking in terms of content offered. I have a Roku hooked up to a 2011 LG tv here too and it is lightning fast with no lag and is very responsive while using the remote control. Again, for the money paid I expected the best of the best not this subpar Google OS crap.

Found it difficult to just search and add apps for what I needed. Picture quality is real nice, sound quality is ok. Really need to pair this with a home theater system or soundbar. After using this for a good week, I would say it is not a good value considering other TV's on the market will get just as much if not more for the value. Knowing what I know now, would I buy it again, probably not. But this kind of thing is really an individual preference. The most expensive stuff is not always the best.

If you change the following setting, you can change the screen that is displayed when the TV is turned on to the TV broadcast channel or external input such as the HDMI that you were watching before turning off the TV. The displayed Home Menu depends on whether a Google Account is added to the TV.

For such a large ticket item the customer should always get a paper receipt for their records and if they ever need to file an insurance claim. The screen goes blank except for a vertical line of pixels along the left hand screen. Home button takes one to a normal screen but then changing to any channel from there results in unusual picture and sound, like double picture, and audio persisting from the one show after the TV has been swtich to another show. Sometimes audio from both shows at the same time. Rebooting fixes the issue until the next time. This starting happing right out of the box with both TVs, though at rare enough intervals that it wasn't too much of a problem. Now it is happening daily and multiple times daily. I was hoping for better quality given this was about the most expensive TV available at the time.
