Worth the price for a movie room or family room for those who like to watch a lot of TV and movies. Only downside is the remote. It uses batteries like crazy. Recommend getting rechargeable batteries for this. Otherwise it’s 5 stars!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Geek Squad technicians set this up last night and they were excellent, I highly recommend using this team as they saved me tons of time setting up the TV and showing me how to use it in a very short time. As far as the TV, it's nothing short of AMAZING! I was concerned about picture quality through lower sources like Youtube TV and Youtube, but the picture is excellent even at these lower resolutions. Watching the NCAA tournament has been a blast. I know this TV was a bit expensive, but the clarity, resolution, motion, and brightness with this natural look is magnificent! The only recommendation I have is to try to get at least 80mg download bandwidth to take advantage of the IMAX movies and to make it easier for streamed sources to max out their resolution. Lastly, I typically don't write reviews unless I'm really impressed, and I also wanted to recognize the Geek Squad team and BestBuy for their support and excellence.

Seriously impressive tv

Went up in size and kept 1 yr old LG c series (seriously amazing picture only drawback is abl). Tv is in a room on top floor of apt building, lots of southern sun, tv is bright enough, but best in the dark. The picture is stunning (good) in bright sequences (just seems noticeably nicer than LG). No abl issues after a month. Split time between XSX gaming and movies. Perfect for gaming, never an issue with fps, just as good as lLG Movies, really can’t say anything other than perfect. Processing is just a bit better than LG, once you notice, you can’t unnotice. LG is still awesome. I don’t use the tv for sound (use B&W 705s2 / Rotel setup) but I’ve listened to it a few times. WOW. Now that is iimpressive. LG is like the old wired apple earbuds when there was foam. If you have to use the tv, it’ll be ok. I could easily see using the tv as a medium grade center channel.

This TV is the pinnacle of 4K. Sony has knocked it put of the park with this TV. The new XR processor is out of this world. Near black/shadow detail has been vastly improved. No flashing or noise. The depth is phenomenal. The color accuracy. And the brightness...... this is the best HDR TV I have ever seen. The closest computation is Sony’s Z9G when it comes to HDR. The only pitfall is, it’s expensive. Very expensive. But you have to pay to play I guess. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this TV set. The A90J is Sony at its best.

It has everything available to play todays video options including iMax picture mode (it automatically switches to this mode when an iMax video is detected) Dolby Video, Dolby Atmos (my sound bar is high end and has the Dolby Atmos feature. Just like being at the theater. Will rock the house) A big plus is has 4 HDMI ports 2 of which are 2.1 for true 4K input from your 4K devices. The operating system is google driven so you can incorporate into your other home google devices if you have them. The operating system is slow sometimes but the regular firmware updates correct it. The picture on this TV is OUTSTANDING!!! the blackest blacks and most vivid colors I've ever seen on a tv screen. I've been watching all of my favorite marvel films, etc to see them in this ultimate color experience. I really can't be more pleased. You won't regret this purchase.

Sony vs Verizon remotes

The excellent Sony remote controls mute and volume levels for the Verizon-supplied stations but cannot select channels. The new Verizon remote selects channels but its mute and volume controls are unresponsive.

Awaiting a replacement, but aside from that the features of this tv are great. Coming from an LG C7 OLED and a Panasonic GT50 Plasma before that, I was blown away by the highlights and brightness that this tv provides. Hopefully the replacement TV has no tinting issues, which is why this rating isn’t a 5 star. Hopefully the panel issues aren’t widespread.

I patiently waited for the price to reduce before making my purchase. And I did my research. Great picture, perfect for my living room lighting. I selected the low stand to allow the television to lay flush on the table (sexy as hell) I am using the screen as the center speaker and running 7 speakers on a recently purchased Denon receiver. I'm not a gamer, I'm all about the streaming. But Sony recently added the VRR (video refresh rate) so video games should be just fine if you are a gamer. Watching movies, you easily get submerged. The black is so black, in between scenes, the screen appears to be off. I just watched the new season of Cobra Kai in less than 2 days! Please don't judge me. lol

The Perfect SONY Nextgen ATSC 3.0 SmarTV

Have been using it as my main go to until May 2021, when Nextgen ATSC 3.0 OTA became available here. I watched many YouTube reviews, but selected a SONY 65" Class BRAVIA XR A90J Series OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV. Best Buy's Geek Squad did the install above my fireplace into the brick. With the picture set to Standard, in makes my old SONY picture look like it's analog...REALLY! It's quite easy to learn the ropes on use, just take your time. When to use the remote, choose a setting, a pop up explains what will happen if you do this. I can't wait to see what the included Nextgen 3.0 OTA built in receiver will do in the future. I'm 100% satisfied with the SONY and Best Buy.

Love the sound through my Sonos system! Those complaining about setup it’s like really?? These TVs are like computers nowadays and setup was simple. Why four stars?? Price! Given it’s considerably higher price then the A80J and closest competition LGs G1 I think this price is way too high. This TV has literally made my Apple TV obsolete! The remote to me could’ve also been more compact and some of the buttons could be a wee bit bigger given the bottom 3 inches there’s nothing there. Picky maybe but also NO “exit” button. If you have directv using this remote is a bit daunting w no exit or info button. So taking price out of it…FIVE STARS.

He was very patient with me and walked me through the different features of various models, including talking to me about my own use for the television. I didn't feel rushed while he assisted us, and am ever so happy with my purchase. I especially love that the tv was a great fit for me as the television projects the sound vs. having speakers on side, back or beneath the screen, causing me to constantly turn up the volume too loud or put cc on my old tv. The Bravia settings for displays, captioning, sound, set up to the apps are easy to navigate. The the picture display is ridiculously awesome and clear and remote works even without having to hold it up and point. Loved the service from Rob and love my tv!

We have another 2 letter tv, streaming is a fail and it was repaired twice, another reason for trying this Sony, great choice.
