The blacks are true blacks and the colors are way better than my previous TV. The google TV features are great and the interface is easy to use. The sound is okay but adding a soundbar made the experience even better. I was debating between the Sony vs Samsung Q90a but I’m glad I went with the OLED and have no regrets.

Solid PERFECTION! Expect fine tuning but a BEAST!

We had 2 Elite Samsungs go out in 2 years!! Read so many reviews on this tv and not disappointed! Totally get on the forums and read set up pointers...this tv did need a lot of fine tuning but it is really a sharp picture. The blacks were a problem and we were disappointed at first but once we fine tuned it....PERFECTION!!!!!

Sony's 65" Bravia XR A90J It lives Up to The Hype!

The Sony A90J was the top of every review on OLED TVs. I watched several of the review again before deciding to purchase it. I am blown away with the fantastic images that appear whenever I turn the Sony A90J on. Everything that the reviewers said about it were verified by me whenever I watch movies or just the local programming on it. I have a 65" Samsung Q9F as my other TV and this one is far superior as for great color, saturation, brightness right out of the box with no adjustments at all. Sony's Master Series is a little pricey, but, I would rather buy it now than wait 6 months for the price to drop. That's 6 months that I can be enjoying this fantastic OLED TV. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone.

The picture quality is great, the TV is quick/responsive, the stock speakers are excellent compared to peers, most of all, the TV is east to operate via its remote. Connectivity with Google/Android TV, even as an IOS user, is seamless. I bought 2 TVs. I intend on buying two more smaller screens for an office and kitchen.

High Hopes, But Limited Performance

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We looked at the LG OLED offerings for over three years, waiting for the right time and opportunity to make the move to this incredible technology. I have had Sony Bravia televisions for over the past 8 years, so this Master Series seemed like the perfect fit of established technology and new, sharper OLED screen. Unfortunately, while the picture has been excellent so far, the much touted sound and Google TV apps have been a fail. Every other day or so, I find I must unplug this television and do a hard reset. For whatever reason, it simply locks up and you can't do anything but restart it. Doing so from the remote doesn't fix the issue very often, so the default has become to unplug it. We've cut the cable at our house, using only fiber optic internet and the available options for streaming services. This has really shown the weakness of Google TV, in my opinion. We subscribe to several services, including YouTubeTV, but the integration of services is severely lacking. Time and time again, I have to re-enter app info, after having to uninstall and reinstall bundled packaged apps. There is also a severe shortage of available storage space on the television. There doesn't appear to be a way to increase it with USB or SD cards that is readily acknowledged anywhere on Sony's site or in the television's literature, either. I'm fairly certain the limited storage available, coupled with adding shows, movies, and scheduled recordings to your library quickly leads to a locked TV. I keep hoping for a firmware update that will address both the lockups and storage issue, but nothing thus far. And if you search the forums and scan the web, many people are experiencing the same issues. And finally, the sound that was so perfect in the store model simply doesn't even exist on the unit in my home. I believe this is the single most disappointing thing about the purchase.

I had a 42” Vizio for over ten years, so I decided to finally upgrade to a top of the line TV. I did a lot of research, and despite the hefty price tag, this model came out on top. It has everything you could need as far as features, and the picture quality is stunning. The speakers are also the best I’ve ever heard in a TV, although a soundbar or audio system are still superior. The remote is a nice touch, too; it’s backlit and looks sleek. As a gamer, I bought this TV for some of its video/picture features, such as the game mode that works well with the higher frame rates of certain games. There’s also the potential VRR support that will arrive in an update at some point, which will truly make this an incredible gaming TV. If you can look past the price tag, the Sony A90J is an absolute beast.

Added it to my saved items list in the best buy app & waited for a sale! Finally went on sale, bit the bullet and bought it. 0 regrets! Out of the box it has fantastic picture. As another reviewer said made me fall in love with watching TV again & makes going to the movie theather irrelevant. I only had to tweak one setting and that was motion. It had "custom" & 2, flipped it to auto & its perfect! Replaced an 8 year old Samsung UHD & I now see what the 4k hype is about! My friend came with me to see the tv in the store before i bought it. He was like "it wont look like that when you get it home" HE'S WRONG IT TOTALLY DOES! Love that it uses Google TV aka Chromecast! If you already use Chromecast it's the same menu's/home screen you're used to. When viewing Disney+ the automatic picture setting was "Dolby light" which was dark af so i switched it to vivid. And the TV remembers & keeps your settings between apps! I can't say enough awesome things about this tv! I also love that the remote lights up everytime you touch it.

I’ve only had it set up a couple of days but the picture is spectacular. Finally surpassed the old plasmas. And the brightness is very adequate. It’s set up through a sound system so I’m not using the native sound so can’t rate that.
