Dead in under 2 years with no Sony support

I have had this tv for less than 2 years and it is no longer working. When powering on the tv it has 6 blinking red lights.
I just spoke with Sony support and since the warranty is only 1 year they can't do anything other than advise me to take it to a local repair center. They wouldn't even provide a discount on purchasing a replacement tv.
So a TV that I paid $2500 lasted 23 months and is now e-waste. Sony wouldn't even allow me to buy a replacement board to fix it myself

To enjoy local channels from an antenna, make sure to connect an antenna to the TV. Once connected, run "Auto Program" to scan for available channels:
1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button. 2. Select Settings. 3. Select Channels & Inputs. 3. Select Channels → Cable/Antenna 4. Make sure that Antenna is selected for Signal Type. 5. Select Auto Program.
Note: -Auto Program may take a few minutes if there are many receivable channels. -The channels that appear vary depending on your region, and the type and placement of your antenna. -The FCC may direct your local broadcaster to change the frequencies they use. If you are having difficulty receiving channels, perform Auto-Program again.

Bought mine in September 2023. I decided on this one, because it is suppose to have Multi screen and screen sizing (for gaming). All my TV's (4 currently) are Sony. Contacted Sony 4 times and still nothing. Could have saved my money and kept playing on my A80K or A90K TV's. Feel like I am being lied to. Definitely would put this under false advertising. Not a happy customer. Next time I check the competition.

My experience was very poor. After owning the TV for approximately a year and a half, the TV died and showed 6 blinking lights. It turns out it needs and new power board and screen and can't be repaired. Neither Sony nor Best Buy will do anything to help me. Buyer Beware!

Wonderful TV when it works

The tv was awesome when it worked but after around a month of owning it, the tv will not turn on. I contacted Sony support but have heard nothing back recently. There are 3 red lights that flash when trying to turn it on, hopefully a replacement comes soon.

The video is dark compared to my Samsung. Doesn't look as good in a bright room. I noticed that the scale up to 4k is much better on my Samsung too. The thing that I hate most about this TV and why I gave it only 2 stars is that the commercial volume is at max volume and there is no way of turning this down or adjusting it. I find nowhere in the settings for such a configuration. I suspect, Sony gave me a beta version of the garbage goggle tv software. I have research and researched only to find nothing here.

The picture quality of the TV will depend in the source that you're playing. You may experience a lower quality picture than specified for your TV for several reasons. To experience the highest quality picture on your TV, the video source should be the same quality (HD, 4K, etc.) as specified for your TV. You may try to improve the image quality by adjusting the Picture mode, Sharpness, and Resolution settings. Check this link for more details.
We highly recommend updating the software of your TV. A firmware update improves the functionality and features of your device. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur.

Good morning, my SONY 65 BRAVIA XR - A95L - AFTER 10 MONTHS FAILED! The motherboard went out NO EXTERNAL SOUND and this is a very common problem with this TV! I told SONY the TV was used very little hours and at $3000 when I purchased it for 10 months of use that $300 per month for cost of ownership! Sony agreed to give me one additional year warranty. No revision on the motherboard! 100% confident it will fail again…. I absolutely LOVE SONY but yhis a disappointment for a SONY MASTER SERIES TV…..

Disapointing for the price

The overall photo quality is very good however i have had multiple issues with the tv turning back on after 20 seconds when i turn it off. Now im having sound issues where the sound actually studders. At first I thought it was the sound bar but I disconnected the sound bar and the tv has the same problem. I have owned. A few Sony tvs over the last 15 years and they have all been reliable. I am going to return this for a replacement and hopefully i just got a lemon.

Great TV before the main board failed at 7 months.

I was excited to get this new, expensive, high end TV, and I was very happy with it until the main board failed at 7 months. The TV simply shut itself off and it flashes the red led in groups of three flashes. I contacted Sony and they initiated a warranty repair. I was then notified by email that the main board will not be available for at least two weeks and that time is subject to change! I am trying to contact the Sony rep in charge of my case to see if they can expedite delivery of part or replace the TV. As of right now my new A95L is dead on my wall for at least two more weeks and I am very disappointed!
We regret to hear that the main board failed after just seven months and is currently unavailable. Additionally, we understand that the XR65A95L TV has shut itself off and is displaying a red LED light that flashes in groups of three. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the repair process. This is certainly not the level of quality we strive for, and we are committed to addressing your concerns.
