Just got it 3/30/22 and so far I am very pleased with the performance. This Sony Replaces aTCL 55r625 I bought in 2019 that started having issues with color adjustments. I thank God I purchased the 5 year warranty. This is my 2nd Sony, bought my first in 1998 and it still works today. It’s well worth the extra money. I can’t find any issues with this Sony color….sound through my Yamaha RX-A880 is amazing although I use the built in speakers for things like news sitcoms, things broadcasts in stereo, after adjusting the built in equalizer, performing the Sony Calibration, TV speakers are great for News, Sitcoms and stereo broadcast. Sony color was nice right out of the with many options to improve on its color. Never had a OLED TV so I can only compare this with TCL and Vizio I have owned in the past. If your thinking about a budget TV you should think hard on adding a bit more to spend and step up to the Sony, you won’t be disappointed. I have almost got all the picture settings to my liking. You will need a AVR or sound bar if you want to enjoy movies in real Dolby Atmos and DTS 10 and that’s another great option Sony includes, the TV has all the sound codecs…..LPCM, DD, DD+, DTHD, DTS, DTS HD MA, My sound system is 5.2.2 and together with this Sony, I really enjoy movies on my Blu Ray UHD player and streaming them from apps. I don’t think you can go wrong with this Sony, Price or Performance. Just ask yourself ….. how long with those others last, for me 2.5 years

This is a TV you must bring home and see for yourself because there are a lot of reviews that doesn’t agree with what I see. This TV is excellent for all uses. I’m a casual movie watcher and a gamer. For me it gets bright enough in a pretty brightly lit living room. I love Dolby Vision and Atmos. The colors are accurate and you can adjust the contrast enhancer to make it pop. It pairs nicely with my Sonos surround and Playstation. It still has a few issues but they don’t always happen so it’s something I’m not worried and can be fixed with future updates. In rare times the judder happens in certain scenes. Just adjust the motion settings to get rid of it . Blooming is something I never notice but I know it could be there. I just don’t see it in my TV. All led’s have this problem but X90J does a great job dealing with it. It only has two 2.1 hdmi ports and no vrr yet. Overall this TV is impressive. There are little to none flaws. The built in Google TV is perfect. This TV is future proof and it’ll last for a long time.

This TV was a huge step up from my previous TV so take my review accordingly. The screen is the perfect size for viewing from >10’ away. Any closer and I think 65” would be too much. The color settings out of the box were perfect. I did reduce the brightness slightly to my personal preference and to avoid screen burn in the future. Setup was simple and intuitive. Integration with a Sony HT-Z9F sound bar and woofer was nearly seamless through the HDMI 3 eARC/ARC connection. Motion flow and tracking for movies is flawless. I do not have a gaming console to use in testing graphics and game play but I’ve read good things. As of April 2021, this TV comes with spacers to add into the rear for wall mounting. No additional screws required.

My plasma from 2008 finally kicked the bucket and when starting to shop for TVs was disappointed to see it was going to be more difficult than I thought to find something that can match the black level and contrast ratio. Upon seeing OLED is basically the modern equivalent I was blown away how good they look. Unfortunately they are very expensive. It took a lot of searching to find a non-OLED tv that would seem like it wasn't a downgrade in these departments and this tv delivers in spades. You get 4k, 120hz, HDR, fantastic colors, deep black level, an expansive menu to customize and tweak settings to your liking, its the full package. A ton of comparisons on rtings.com led me to this one and I couldn't be happier. It is so fun watching movies I have seen a thousand times like Star Wars or Marvel movies and appreciating them visually all over again. If it were to break I would replace it with the same thing in a heartbeat. If you're shopping for a new TV in this range then definitely consider this!

This TV is great. I bought it for console gaming. Great alternative to an Oled tv. The refresh rate is superb and clean. Connecting the PS5 is a breeze as the tv recognizes the console. Has 2 hdmi ports that is 120htz capable. Deliveres dark blacks in picture and crisp bright whites. Smart tech is a Google tv. Sound quality is a little lacking so maybe a need for a sound bar

The picture quality is stunning and the colors are incredibly vibrant. The TV is set up in a dimly lit basement and looks fantastic. The sound is also impressive and do not feel the need for a soundbar. Google TV built in is decently quick, but could be better. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this TV to anyone in the market for a new one.

I love this TV. It has amazing color and clarity. Ease of use is off the charts. I have always been a Sony guy and this purchase confirms to me that Sony makes an amazing product.

Very happy with this TV, VA panel looks good in my dark room, blooming with local dimming on is acceptable but not great, picture quality in movies, shows, and gaming all look stunning for the price and the 120 hertz looks great on my Xbox Series X, hopefully VRR will come this winter and look even better.

I’ve had this tv for over a year now and its display is awesome for an LCD. Can only be beat by OLEDs. Future proof too with Dolby vision as well as hdr and VRR. Also gets quite loud even without a sound bar.

Gorgeous TV. Fantastic color and brightness. When comparing Sony to other brands side by side in the store, there was really no question which had the best picture quality. Sony blew the competition away.

Great Picture! I would suggest keeping auto update off as the previous software update caused issues with HDMI-CEC. This has since been fixed with the most current update. Very good with sports content. 120hz refresh is legit with this tv.

It’s definitely not an OLED. But it is my ps5’s best friend. And movies look incredible. Running my games that are compatible at 120fps. It’s a great purchase for those worried of burn it and want a longer life span on their TV.

Great experience in setting the TV within my home FIOS wireless networks and connecting NVIDIA for streaming device. Excellent picture quality and ease of TV SW auto upgrade over the Wireless Network

Store and site: the filters and options to compare on the website were simple and definitely made shopping around a little easier. I do wish the filters made it easier to determine which specific stored in wanted to include for inventory purposes. The option was there in some places but it didn't feel consistent or the process wasnt organic. The store staff (Mesquite,TX) were super friendly and helpful no complaints in service, only compliments. The actual store though has a going out of business vibe. It felt like a Sears liquidation sale. Empty shelves, empty spots on walls where demo models should be hanging, openned items for sale lined the floors. Product, 65" X90J: Sony never fails to impress. Sometime their prices are all over the board and a little to steep. This model checked all the boxes for me. Image is great, ease of setup was awesome! Android TV/Google made it very easy. All my content and apps loaded with a single login. Very nice. The remote feels fragile so I did order a cover for it on Amazon. Was pleasantly surprised to see that it's and actual thing. Wall mounting was a breeze and I no longer need my Chromecast. THE SOUND QUALITY.... it sounds like it's on speakerphone. All treble, no bass. A soundbar is a must!

X90J is where its at. Perfect for Next Gen consoles for that 4K 120 fps. Note very few game run at 120 fps 4k. But still nice to have. Great TV without having to go OLED TV. Yes OLED will have perfect blacks but this X90J is great without having to risk burn in. Also X90J 2021 model is better than X90K 2022 model. But thats just my opinion. X90K will just be better in very specific conditions so just save on a 2021 model.

I have been wanting to upgrade from my 1080P LG for a while now and finally decided on this Sony X90J and I am absolutely blown away. Right out of the box this thing looks amazing. Color and movement are 1000% better than what I’m used to. HDR content especially Dolby Vision content is mind blowing. This TV makes content more engaging honestly. Plus it’s ready for next gen consoles so it covers all my bases. Movies look great. Standard definition content looks great and games are silky smooth. Can’t say enough about this amazing tv.
