Owned this since 2016 and this tv has continued to wow me and everyone who sees it. The Dolby Vision update has made things even better. I use Apple 4KTV,High end PC,PS4 Pro,Xbox X,4KUHDBR and have a 9.2 channel Pioneer Elite hooked up to it.

Awesome picture. Great 4k up scaling. Picture does go blank when hooked up to my PS4PRO from time to time. Absolutely no excuse for this but it's on Sony and the PS4 not the sets fault. Still patiently waiting for an update for this from Sony. And the fact that the PSVR has no HDR pass through is... laughable. Good job on that Sony. The set is outstanding though. Its just being held back by other Sony products!

I bought a 75Z9D after trying the 940E and having some issues with it. Right after it was installed by GeekSquad, I noticed several vertical stains running across most of the panel. Dirty screen effect is quite common in LCD TVs, but it's usually not noticeable during content. Here, however, the stains were visible anytime there was a light background on screen. I decided to exchange the set and received the replacement yesterday. I ran through some videos that highlighted the issue in the previous set and, sure enough, noticed a fair amount of stains. Even the GeekSquad guy was taken aback. Outside of those test videos, though, I haven't noticed the stains during regular content, so it's not that bad. This new set, however, is slightly warped. The TV has a slight twist to it that ends with the panel being slightly concave rather than flat. Now, overall, the picture quality truly is amazing, which is why I'm giving the set 3 stars. But issues like these are simply unacceptable at this price range. It seems like Sony decided to use mid-tier panels and construction and hope the backlight and processing make up for the flaws. I guess for the most part it works; if seen in a bright room, all of these issues are imperceptible. However, for an almost $10,000 USD price tag, you'd expect top of the line quality control and component. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case.

TV picture has been phenomenal. Out of the box and everything looks great. Android smart system to the TV is easy to learn and has been performing without a glitch so far. I am most satisfied with this SONY TV performance so far----

I've bought several Sony high line tv's from Bestbuy...and was extremely happy with all there products.... then 1 month out of factory warranty complete panel failure.... called Sony... they just blow you off.... then send you to a repair center that is out of business.... call out Bestbuy geek squad.... shown as a bad panel.. Very disappointed!!!! I wouldn't recommend

i bought this Sony TV for my husband for xmas 2017. we loved it. Sadly, our kids threw a toy and it barely dinged the screen but it was enough to cause a blue screen and there was no more picture. I knew the extended warranty wouldn't cover it but i thought id pay to have the screen replaced. its a new expensive TV we loved so it was worth it. WELL i thought very wrong. BEWARE OF SONY TV'S. They DO NOT make new screens for Sony TV's. What kind of company doesn't produce replacement parts for their products. We will never buy another Sony TV. I am buying my husband another new TV now for xmas again and it will not be a Sony. I will get the remainder of my extended warranty refunded but that's it. So disappointed. I will be buying a Samsung who I have confirmed do have replacement screens for all of their TV's.

This TV would be much better with an iOS style operating system. No support for my iPhone. I want to be able to use this without foreign virus apps like airbuddy. Gave me dog glaucoma. Thanks Sony!

This is my LAST Sony purchase. Good initially, but after 2 years and no longer under warranty, vertical lines appeared which means the screen is shot. I paid $3000 for the tv which was originally $5000. The tv is only about 8 months out of warranty, and sony was unwilling to stand behind their product, even such an expensive one. Essentially they said "Be careful throwing it in the trash."
