I bought this camera as an upgrade from my Sony a6000. Why purchase the a6400??? This is the only camera in the apsc lineup that shoots unlimited 4K video and does not overheat. If you're into podcasts or long video conferences this camera is a beast. Most digital cameras have a 30 minute video recording limit otherwise they would be taxed as a camcorder and would be more expensive. Somehow this camera got around that. I purchased a full frame Sony A7C recently so this camera is now my B roll camera and backup. On a side note, if you decide to go full frame, the Sony A7C also records unlimited 4K video and that is why I chose that camera. Regardless of what Sony Mirrorless camera you purchase, it will be a solid investment. I've been shooting Sony since 2016 and will never buy a Canon or Nikon.

I used to have a Panasonic G7 and loved it but after getting the Sony Alpha 6400 I have to say that this takes the cake! Crisp images, fairly easy to use and allows me to expand on my photography skills. Can't wait to use it more!

I am new to photography and I am really liking this camera. It’s small and not as bulky as I thought it was going to be. I yet have to learn more about it. This is a good camera it has good features and is really good with the sigma 30mm lens!!

I was looking at an a6000 and was advised by a much more knowledgeable friend to “buy once, cry once,” and I am glad I did. This body has excellent build quality, an excellent sensor, and many more bells and whistles than my novice mind can understand. However, shooting in manual mode with most of the electronic aids disabled is a breeze. ISO, shutter speed, and aperture are all at your fingertips and adjust intuitively. I have shot with both a Sony 3.5-5.6/18-55 and a Sony 4.5-6.3/55-210. Detail is very crisp (as long as your hands are steady). And a shutter speed of around 1/320 eliminates all motion blur from my dogs tearing around the yard. After about 2000 shutter clicks, I am very pleased with this camera body. Now I need to invest in some better glass to really get the most out of the camera.

I previously had a Sony Nex, but it stopped working and I replaced it with this model. It is compact and light weight. Also takes excellent pics. Love the auto tracking.

This camera is so easy to use. It takes great pictures straight out of the box. Worth it!!!

Love the quality of images from the camera, easy to work with

I've been waiting for the mysterious A7SIII to come out with no luck, so I grabbed one of these in the mean time. Does great in low light, has an articulating LCD screen and it compact in size. I with the touch screen did a little more. The battery life is meh. The video record button is in a horrible spot. But that aside, it's a great little camera.

My first camera and photography has me I’m hooked! Idk why I took so long to buy a camera! After a lot of research I went with this APAC camera due to budget mostly and the amount of good reviews this camera has! I’m still learning so I’m not too technical but I’ll just say I don’t regret buying this camera it’s a great “starter” camera for someone who can’t spend $2k+ for a first camera & you won’t outgrow it for a good while so you’ll get your moneys worth outta it. The only downside noticed is the lack of in-body stabilization which isn’t a dealbreaker for me. But just a noteworthy for anyone who need this feature. My favorite part of this camera is the small size & it doesn’t attract a ton of attention when shooting like some full sized cameras. I was able to purchase this camera as Body only for $750 new.

A great camera for video and photography. The 4K recording is fantastic and I love its portability. Unfortunately it has no IBS but I can make do without it. It is a bit pricey but if you can afford it then it’s well worth it

I am a professional photographer and videographer and this is my new “Go To” camera. It’s great with photos and videos! It’s light weight and compact. You can use so many lenses on this camera, it’s awesome and I highly recommend it!

This camera is phenomenal, the things that this camera is able to capture is a bit overwhelming. I’m just in awe honestly. Simple , small and very very good for multiple styles of shooting.

The a6400 with its flip up screen makes recording yourself very easy. Yes I wish it had a flip out screen but the video it produces far exceeds those in its class. A must have for any beginner or Sony user. Another great product

Excellent 4k video. Superb autofocus. So light, such good quality. Seamless workflow with my a6500 (Same picture profiles.) I use it on a tripod or a gimbal so the lack of ibis makes no difference to me. Absolutely love it.

This was an upgrade from my Sony A6000. I first upgraded to the 6100, which was a huge improvement over my beloved A6000. But it didn't have weather sealing. So I did a quick lateral upgrade to the 6400, which is the actual flagship of Sony APSC, since it has everything the others have except IBIS plus an on body flash for lighting in a pinch. It is the best camera at this size.

I love this camera! It is not perfect but perfect for my needs. I could list so many good things but instead I will list a few things I love about this camera. Shoots in 4K, shoots 1080p @ 120 FPS, has a flip screen for seeing myself while filming YouTube videos, touch tracking for shooting events and FIRST EVER CAMERA WITH NO RECORDING LIMITS plus it has a microphone jack for better audio. The Sony A6400 camera is definitely advanced with so many features/options like color profiles. I love it!! If you’re looking for a great event videography/Youtube/vlogging/photography I think this will be perfect!! Especially for the price. Bang for buck there is nothing else on the market that can top this!!! Thank me later!

Very good camera! Takes great pics & video! Great feel! Buttons feel real good & wheel is very smooth! Would highly recommend the A6400 body!

I bought it for the advance auto focus. I still have an a6000 I bought last year at discount. It takes good pictures both cameras with sigma lens.

Best camera for the money available now. 4K, continuous auto focus, no recording limit, flip up screen… I have zero regret about this purchase.
