Just amazing camera!

I will not go into any technical details here, you can find it somewhere else. Amazing are photo and video quality, new menu, ease of use, battery life, AI, 4K slow motion video, etc. I own alpha 6600. Alpha 6700 is a huge step forward. If you are into serious photography and/or video, this camera is for you.

Truly excellent camera

All the controls you’ll need, with subtle shutter sound and a broad selection of lenses. All this in a small package with with very good battery life. Can’t ask for more!

If you get tons of video might suggest something else though this camera does over heat about 10 min of 4K 120 so keep that in mind

Except that out of the box time to calibrate everything to a specific individual preference is tedious. It's the same way though for every camera manufacturer. Touching a small screen, or pushing the buttons to navigate the menus could be improved. None of that really matters to the camera itself. Sony has I think the best AI integrated autofocus technology on the market. Every shot, if video, or still runs through this AI technology, and really does help create in-focus stills and video. I'd recommend it for a lot of people because of this. You can turn this feature off. Totally ignore it. But for the most part in everyday use, you'd probably want it left on. Out of focus stills or video is the most disappointing thing to me, it's a total waste of time. I think the strength of the camera is all the technology they packed into it to aid in helping the user, focus on the content rather than operating the camera. I think that's a great leap for creators, film makers, photographers or anyone looking for a good semi-professional starter camera.

The GOAT crop sensor camera.

Even with it being several years old it produces high quality images, feels well made, rugged, and is still lightweight enough to want to bring it out all the time. It's a fantastic camera and opens you up to a great lineup of first and third party lenses. Definitely worth the purchase price.

Nice Upgrade!

The battery life is better, the auto focus is much stickier and the menu system is more clear. It's also nice to have in-camera image stabilization, something that was lacking in the a6400. I mainly photograph wildlife, so the bird/animal eye focus is really helpful.

A worthy crop-sensor Sony upgrade!

I love the quality of the video, battery life with OEM batteries, and the AI driven features with focus. Highly recommend anyone upgrading if you love the smaller form factor. I added a SmallRig cage to have room for my pinky, but that's just preference!

The Perfect Everyday Camera

The images are amazing, the video quality is top notch, the autofocus is industry leading. So happy with this camera. There are so many affordable lenses available as well that it makes this camera perfect for an everyday shooter annd or travel camera. While this may not be a "professional" camera, you can definitely get professional results.

Awesome camera!

It has features from other great Sony cameras combined into one, with a decreased price. I’m glad I was able to get into photography when this was around, because it was able to fit in my budget perfectly. The only minor downside is that it only has one sd slot, and I am not able to find a battery grip for this, but if these minor issues don’t bother you, it’s a perfect camera.

A worthy upgrade

One thing I like is the menu structure being similar to my A7iv, making memorizing location of certain settings easier. The flippy screen is also a good upgrade from my a6600 as it makes it easier to shoot low angle vertical images. The autofocus is definitely better, as it sticks quickly to subjects. The eye autofocus is always on point even from a great distance where the people looks small relative to the frame. When it comes to low light, you won't notice a difference from the a6600 if you're just planning to post the images in social media. But if you'll use the images in big screens or print, then the noise in low light is noticeably better. For now, I use this a6700 interchangeably with my Fujifilm XT5. This a6700 would have been perfect if it has Fujifilm's film simulation for a superb SOOC images. But if you like post processing, then it shouldn't matter.
