Pocket sized, well built camera. I carry it in my everyday bag with me I’ve been able to take some very nice photos that I spot on the go. Great compact option for travelling as well. Low light performance could be better but is not a limiting factor for me.

This is my third model in the RX-100 series (I, III, and V). Purchased because I want a full function camera where you have complete command of appetite, shutter speed, white balance etc. The electronic viewfinder and manual focus option are optimal for composition. Prefer the V to the VII because of sharper picture quality and generally don't need the extra zoom. My RX-100 III is starting to have issues after 3 years of serious use. This model in general is delicate. You get a ton of performance and because its so portable wear and tear adds up; unless you are ultra careful. This is a camera for someone who desires extreme portability, functionality, and takes a lot of phots. You can't bet it but you can break it.

The flash that pops up is fine, but the viewfinder is a bit flimsy. Already going towards the left, so that’s not fun. Definitely not a very easy point and shoot to use if you don’t know manual controls. It will look washed out at first out of the box. Be patient with it and once you do a new toy around with profiles and color enhancements it looks incredible Keep in mind, this isn’t going to have phone stabilization for video quality. However if you get past that, the video quality is incredible!

This camera is small but photos + videos are LEGIT! The quality of the two plus it's small form factor seriously make it a traveler's dream camera. I do want to disclose that I am a Sony ambassador and was given the RX100V for review, but I also want to state that I don't just review anything. This camera has been on my wishlist for a while! For video it has a drop in ND filter which is perfect for taking video with the wide apertures of f/1.8 - f/2.8 this camera offers. Another nice video and photo feature is the image stabilization! I have shaky hands and appreciate this so much. For vloggers or videographers in general this camera also can shoot 4k! I use this camera for BTS video and will soon use it for vlogging too since it has a very convenient flip screen so I can see myself and frame the shot. Literally the only negative thing I can say about this camera is the battery life however if you use a power pack for your phone like I do you can use it on this camera! Seriously can't wait to use this camera at my next shoot and when I travel.

Great Little Camera, Fantastic Picture Quality. This is my second RX100 and I still love the line. I sold my RX-IV for 80% of what I paid for it. These things hold their value. Here is my thought, if it is too large to pocket then I don’t care how good the camera is, it will probably sit at home or at the hotel. I don’t want to be bogged down with lenses and so on. Fortunately, this is also a great camera, and high quality all in a tiny package. For this version (VA) you sacrifice a longer zoom lens for a faster lens in low light (compared to the VI or VII). Add to it the fact you can take 1080P or 4K videos and you have a fantastic all around shooter. I was recently on a cruise with a professional photographer. He had a giant camera, but he (and his wife) also had an RX-III and RX V. Guess what, 90% of the time we were together they were using the RX instead of the giant SLR camera. I added to this a 52mm lens adapter and lenses for UV and a Variable ND filter. I have some very minor nits that may or may not bug you. 4K video is limited to 5 minutes. 1080P video is limited to 30 minutes. No external microphone jack. Otherwise I 100% love it. At a recent concert in Vienna, I had to record in 1080P and had to constantly check when the 30 minutes ran out, wait for the camera to cool down, then restart the recording. Again, not the end of the world. I highly recommend this. If you don’t care about ultra low light, then look at the VI or VII. They are both very capable, just not as sensitive.

before using this camera, i didn't really believe that a point and shoot could add much to my inventory on video or photo shoots..i was wrong..this rx100vA packs such a punch. Strong video resolution with a solid bitrate, multiple smart auto modes for beginners and my favorite thing has to be the HFR burst mode..some of the slow mo shots at 480 and 960fps are literally impossible to get on my a7sii. sony gifted me this camera as i am a member of the alpha collective, and i didn't know how much i needed this thing until i started shooting with it. It also doesn't hurt that the form factor is absolutely tiny. i would recommend this camera for a beginner. it has all the features that allows a shooter to learn as they go and vastly improve the quality of the video they shoot.

I love this camera so much! I owed the first RX100 and there’s been an amazing amount of improvement with this one. Eye AF is probably the best feature. Tack sharp focus on the eyes every time. This is the newest model that retains the fast f/1.8 lens that was eliminated with the RX100 VI. I really wish they would have come out with a VIA with that same amazing lens. This is a perfect travel camera, screen lifts up for selfies, built in ND filter for landscapes or shooting with low aperature in bright light.

The Sony RX100 Mark V is impressively compact yet delivers excellent image quality. Its portability makes it perfect for travel or everyday use. I love how easily photos transfer to my phone via their imaging edge app and Bluetooth, making photo transfers easy. A powerful camera packed into a pocket-sized design.

It is easy to use and has good quality of pictures. It is also small enough to carry every where.

The VA is a great camera, and even though it was released after the version VI, it does not have all the updated components the VI has. It is basically a very mildly refreshed version V from 2015.

I was originally looking for the canon 7gx but ended up securing this camera instead and I couldn’t love it more! The photo quality is amazing and the camera is so compact.

I was curious how much better the photos will be compared to my iPhone 15 Pro, and if it will be a noticeable upgrade. And I must admit, this little camera produces much better quality photos. What is also great, since it doesn't do anything else I can focus on taking pictures only without distractions

This is a GREAT mirrorless camera that I use primarily for underwater photos. Excellent camera that is much smarter than a point and shoot and much smaller and easier to use than a DSLR!

Great camera light weight perfect picture’s easy to use

This small camera packs a great punch. Most of the functionality of the alpha 7 series, but in a tight little package. Sharp clear pictures with great color. It might get a little lost in big hands, but there are Sony and aftermarket add-on grips to make it easier to handle and hold.

Wonderful compact camera! It takes wonderful pictures, and although it takes a while to adjust to having to do most things manual, it's worth it. However, I'm still not sure how to get rid of slight blurriness in some cases without a tripod.
