The camera is good, but the battery isn't good. I used for two hours and the baterry die. I am thinking buy another battery and if the problem persist, return the camera.

Quality camera for something so small. I didn’t want to get my sister a DSLR, but wanted to gift her something of quality. Photo quality is definitely there and the price was great in my opinion. I would definitely buy it for myself if I wanted something travel friendly.

Excellent travel camera. Ended up returning because on 2 separate occasions the camera totally froze where I had to remove the battery to reset. This was an open box so I don't know if this a common issue with this model or just a one off issue. I have an older MIV and it had never frozen up even tough it would overheat. I can say the MVII is noticably faster, focuses better ( less prone to hunting) and I never had it overheat. But I was using it in cool temperatures so that was a factor. I really like the super zoom range vs the older models, more than I thought I would. I can't say the picture quality is much improved, but it is great on the MIV too. I have heard of people complaining it is too small and easy to drop. I do not have this issue, but I have a 2 price case protector that gives a better grip and I use a wrist strap as a precaution.

Great camera for video & even still photos. easy to navigate as well.

It’s a great camera, for beginners all you have to do is keep the mode on auto and you are ready to go 95% of the time. There’s a lot under the hood and if you have the time and want to learn this camera can beat some mirrorless cameras on the market today

i had an rx100 for many years...great camera...but decided to upgrade....even tho the markvii is a 2019 model i noticed it was still on alot of top 5 lists,,,,couldn't be happier....a little pricey but yolo!

Good camera for just running around. But can’t beat my canon R series mirror less. Just understand that it’s a walk around camera, good for travel.

Great pic quality but ergonomics could be improved

The camera is unbelievable! I bought it mostly to be able to take it with me into arenas and stadiums for concerts and the results did not disappoint.

Nice camera. It takes great pictures. It fits easily in pocket or purse.

As an avid and experienced photographer, I needed something really compact to for travel. Despite the size, the image quality is fabulous. I love the ability to customize to my use and it's extremely fast focusing. This is my new travel companion. My only suggestion is purchasing an aftermarket grip, as it can feel a little small.

Maybe you'll ask, why only 3 stars? Well, I am reviewing this in August 2022, I have this camera for about a year now, and in my opinion, this camera is no longer impressive in 2022. For background, I do own Sony full frame and APS-C cameras as well as a couple of Fujifilms, so I know my way around cameras, and one of the reasons I bought this is the form factor and focal range. It does excel in form factor and reach, but when it comes to image quality, it's just on par with the new iPhones. So, for the price, it would just be better to buy an iPhone if you don't really need the zoom range. But I still won't sell my RX100 because of the RAW files. The convenience of having a compact camera that can produce good quality RAW files is what makes me hold on to this camera. But if you will just shoot and use the JPEGS, just get an iPhone and save money. Or just add a little more and get the Sony A6600.
