Takes great pictures and I can leave the SLR and lenses at home when traveling!

I bought this camera upgrading from an RX100VI for the mic jack, and immediately noticed the viewfinder had horrible scanlines. I checked if these persisted when viewing static objects such as the menu, and they did. My RX100VI had nothing like this. If you look up this issue on Reddit, there are supposedly a large number of other users who have RX100 VII units with this same defect.

Photos aren't crisp. Battery doesn't hold a charge.

I’ve used an SLR for years and wanted something smaller. I bought it in time for my daughters college graduation. it messed up as she received her diploma. Hard to use, heavy in the hands for such a tiny item.

The picture quality was subpar and I wouldn’t advise. You’ll get better content from your phone.

This is the worst camera I have ever bought. I bought it for wife for our Maui trip we took early this March. I currently own a Canon 5DM III and a Sony A7R II. This camera has been producing blurry pictures to say the least. It is not user friendly and it is a struggle to get it to focus where you want it too. When we got back, the date to return the camera had elapsed. We are currently stuck with this.

It was supposed to be easy to use, not. And you can't get help because no person can help. Frustrating. Waisted over 1000 $

The item is an open box item and I suspect it,s a refurbished camera purchased at a price of the new one.

Ruined my once in a lifetime beach picts - all were blurry - ALL of them. This camera doesnt work in auto mode.

I'll start with this is my 4th version or model of this camera line. I've been fans of it for years and like the improvements they give it. It's still not easy to hold with one hand. It needs some kind of edge grip to hold on to better. Nice size body. Lots of features packed in this model. Decent video, especially during the day. Night photos or dark shots without flash are tricky, even if you know how to use a pro camera. The settings are the standard that all Sony cameras come with, but still not as easy to navigate as other brands like Nikon or Canon. Price is a little step honestly for what you get but the compared to the others it's my preferred choice. Overall decent point and shoot camera, but low light video could be improved and a hand mount edge would help.

I've had three other RX100's....the 3, the 5 and now the 7. The 7 is by far the best pocket camera ever made so far. More reach than the 3 and 5 and the focus system on the 7 is better than any other camera except the A9 which it is almost equal to. I wanted a better camera than my Samsung note 9 has...and I did not want to buy another phone....especially in 2020. So I decided to sell the Sony RX 100 V and got the 7. Great choice on my part. This camera is just plain awesome. If you are looking at cheaper prices on this camera, be advised that certain retailers are selling import versions which Sony will not honor the warranty. They sell a warranty that costs anywhere from 100 to 300 bucks. So you are not really saving any money and their warranty may not be available if they decide to stop honoring it. Best Buy had the best price for this camera which they only sell authorized models in the USA.

We've never regretted buying this. It takes great pics, and easily fits in a bag or small protective case. The Sony Imaging app that you can download for your phone doesn't offer the greatest functionality, but you can always just transfer photos directly to your comp with the SD card - and we rarely used the remote control aspect of the app. Overall, this is a great on-the-go camera.

I’ve not had this camera long, but this far I love it. I bought it as an everyday carry, because I wanted something more than a phone camera and something less cumbersome than my full frame mirrorless gear. It has made shooting fun again.

Beautiful clear photos & great colors. Only downside is the digital zoom, which creates a fuzzy image - you're better off using the optical zoom & cropping & enlarging the part of the image you want. Lots of complicated functions, but the "auto" setting is so good you may not need them.

Does was it's supposed to do in a small compact package. Wish it had the ND built in like prior models but there are ways around that.

Amazing camera. Took it on a extended trip. More convenient than dragging along a dslr
