I live in a fairly large studio 16x20 ft with an oddly horizontally shaped sliding window design which faces outside and where the hot summer Cali sun hits. When this arrived yesterday I needed a dolly to take it in as it was over 50lbs. Aside from that setup was a breeze. The window adapter had an extender with included weather strips or insulators. The remote control is fairly large with a nice always on digital display which is great for me since it would be easier to find in the dark since it also has an led light option. After I powered it on it literally only took 5 minutes or so to feel the results. Humidity and temp dropped (80 with high humidity to 68 degrees) Quite happy for now we will see how long this lasts

This air conditioning unit is really good and it keeps you nice and cool in the heat. Easy to use and put together. Would totally buy it again.

During our hot summer days this air conditioner has done a great job for us!

This AC is great. I had to buy 2. 1 for the room and 1 for the living room...

Love the swing option and it cools down our room but it rusts out in less than a year and the tube to the window cracks! Such a bummer!

Easy installation,should be rated at 300 sq.ft. Takes forever to cool anything larger.

I live in a 90 year old building that does not allow window units. I bought this unit thinking it will only take the edge off (10 degree max reduction) the hot summers in Denver (mid 90's) since that has been my experience in the past with other portable ACs. However, It has proven to be nothing like the others. It keeps my place at about 68-70 degrees when it's 90+ degree weather. The cold air circulates well through my 550 sq ft. Condo. It was a easy set up (I have crank- shift windows and used plexi glass to create a window for installation), and the design is not an eye sore. I'm very pleased with the unit and only regret not buying it sooner.

The SPT was priced well below other units with comparable output specs but also had great reviews so decided to take a gamble and . . . couldn't be happier! Runs relatively quietly but cools instantly, more than enough to cool our modest 700 sq ft apartment. Easy setup and operation, plus remote control. Best value my limited research could identify and working as advertised, so far performance is exceeding every expectation (an exceptionally rare experience in today's consumer market)!

Overall the system is great it cools well, doesn't use too much power, noise level is acceptable for the amount of cooling it produces (if you are looking for an ultra quiet machine look elsewhere), and doesn't take up too much space. Biggest drawback is the spacer it comes with for the windows. Its flimsy and the sticky foam that is used to insulate between the window and spacer gave out after a week.

I live in an apartment that has eastern exposure and no cross breeze. It gets horribly hot. This air conditioner cools it down in about 45 minutes. If I leave it on before I go to work and then come home, my apartment is totally cool. Not too loud. My cat even likes it.

Right out of the box, this AC was easy to set up and looked good. It keeps the place nice and cool and is more quiet than the last one I had. It's a good purchase.

Controls, appearance, ease of use are fine. Sliding window parts for the vent hose work well, their very easy to install and they seal the window well. I needed an extra piece of foam. BTU rating is higher than the performance would indicate. I suspect a 12,000 BTU window unit would work better but the windows, and my environment resftrict me to a portable. Dont forget to put on the hose or the plug into the condensate drain. I missed it and covered the floor with water overnight (garage).

I have an older portable air conditioner that never cooled a room very well. I needed a new one for the first floor and because I'm unable to put in and take out a window unit I opted for another portable. This new unit cools most of my first floor pretty quickly. I think it is very quiet compared to the old one and the cooling exceeded my expectations.. I would definitely buy this unit again.

Cool and comfy for my living room which has lot of open space. Pros - less noise, cools fast, less maintenance, economical power consumption.Cons - little bulky and need extra hands to move around especially on carpets.

I've enjoyed the overall comfort that this AC Unit provides! Keeps the edge off in my Western End of the House, especially in the Late Afternoon and Early Evening, before Sunset. Nice and quite during operation, I don't have to turn up the Volume on TV, or Stereo, nor raise my voice to hold a conversation. Very easy to install, it came with everything that was needed too.

Life saver for my bedroom which is the hottest room in the house with vaulted ceiling! It has many settings, including the remote control. It is quite noisy, e.g. volume is up half way to hear TV in the room. Pretty heavy to move around!

Beautiful design and great power. I'm in heaven with this. I was worried it wasn't going to be enough to cool my living room +kitchen with vaulted ceiling, but it does! I'm happy. And I like how there's no need to a hose and bucket on AC mode. Thanks, great product.

Not as powerful as I thought it would be. Very easy to operate and maintain. Good for mid size living room. Does not show current room temperature

Overall I'm happy with this A/C unit. It does have an exhaust hose for the window which you may have to cut for a perfect fit. Overall it cools well. Window A/Cs tend to do a better job of cooling but for my kitchen this unit did great. The only thing I do not like is the instructions are vague. The water tank barely needs to be emptied which is a plus.
