Customers are saying

Customers find value in the stunning graphics, engaging campaign mode, and immersive Star Wars experience that Battlefront II offers. They appreciate the improvements made since the previous installment and enjoy the action-packed multiplayer mode. However, some express concerns about the presence of loot boxes, microtransactions, and a pay-to-win upgrade system, which they feel detract from the overall gaming experience.

This game starts off great. You are locked in a cell and have to escape. This game is action packed and stays true to the Star Wars stories. As you progress through the game and finish all the campaigns you have to transition from playing on your own to playing online. Which is my negative for this game. They tell you the story continues online and in order to play online you must have PlayStation plus. Overall great game and can’t wait for the next one.

Card system has been re-tweaked for the better. Campaign is so far pretty sweet. It’s storyline starts at yavin 4 at the time of Endor battle. Definitely did there due diligence, pretty much Episode 6.5. Graphics and gameplay are amazing. The only negative is the load times are a big bummer sometimes up to 3 minutes for arcade play, campaign not too bad at a minute or so. Multiplayer rocks too.

Star Wars BFII is an impressive game. I pre-ordered it and I've played it for hours each week since launch. I had the original battlefront game and it did not keep my interest for very long. However, this one is more immersive and make me want to spend more time playing. First, the campaign is really fun. It's not extremely long, but it is a full story that is both challenging and entertaining as you progress through scenarios. I would say the campaign can be completed (on the highest difficulty) within 7 - 8hrs of continuous game play if you complete the challenges along the way. Online Multiplayer: This is where I spend most of my time in the game. It's simply amazing. The maps look spectacular and the game play is generally smooth. If you are familiar with SWBF, it has a similar feel, but improved mechanics, interactions and challenges. My personal favorite is Star fighter Assault. I can play this for hours. The one element of the game that I don't like is the removal of character customization. Now, your classes are locked to pre-designated avatars. It's not a big deal, but it was significant enough for me to mention here. It's still an incredibly fun game despite that limitation.

This is an amazing game with some great gameplay. However progression is slow and requires time to get unlocks. Micro transactions were deeply woven into progression and as such a player not paying extra will definitely run into issues.

but this game is gorgeous, and you DON'T NEED to buy micro transactions to enjoy. The campaign is a hugely welcome addition. The boards are amazing, and the coverage of all eras is awesome.

Star Wars Battlefront II is well worth the money! All the negative press prior to launch may have put some negative thoughts into your head, don't let it. This game is far better than its predecessor and will only get better as the free, yes free, DLC's are released. On the eve of the official launch EA/Dice announced they were doing away with microtransactions as well as lowering the amount of credits needed to unlock vital Star Wars characters including Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. It may take some time and patience to unlock other things as well but it's well worth it. Game play is solid, graphics are amazing, and the single player campaign mode, despite its relatively short game play, is fun and enjoyable as well. I highly recommend this game, May the Force be With You! I'll see you on the Battlefront!

I have been a Star Wars fan ever since the first movie came out, & this game puts you in control of all the characters we have grown to love. I have played every Battlefront game that has been made, but this one is by far the greatest one yet!!! The graphics are unbelievable & now we finally have a Battlefront campaign mode to play on PS4 and Xbox One because the first Battlefront on these two consoles didn't have a campaign to play. If you are like me then the most important thing is how the multiplayer game play is, and I can tell you,"it's EXCELLENT!!!" I highly recommend everyone to purchase this game, & may the force be with you.

I generally enjoy this game. Sure, there are a lot of negative reviews online about the use of loot boxes which gives other players an unfair advantage over others. Those have since been tuned down and things seem to be better (for now at least). Looking at the game, I find the rendered worlds to be well done. There are a lot of interesting locales and the starfighter assault mode looks to be one of the best in this game. Pick a copy up and it will be a blast!

I got the deluxe edition on sale because I didn’t want to pay the full price. By the time that happened, it looks like EA revamped the game a bit and fixed some of the problems gamers complained about concerning in-game purchases. Having said that, I don’t like how random the loot crates are with upgrades. But the graphics are great. Also comes with campaign mode which the last game didn’t have.

I picked this up on launch day and have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. In addition to multiplayer modes it also has a single player campaign (that I’ve already played through) which has an overall good story but was a little on the short side. The gameplay is great, and I found myself enjoying the air combat just as much (maybe more) than the ground based fps element. The elephant in the room is the loot crate and card system, which has gotten tons of negative press. In order to improve your character/ship (and also unlock new ones), you need to open mystery crates, which are obtained by spending credits that you earn via gameplay and by completing challenges. Initially EA’s intent was a pay-to-win concept in which you could also purchase credits with real money, but that was temporarily suspended due to severe consumer backlash. Also problematic was that popular characters like Darth Vader and Luke were only obtainable for 60,000 credits each, which would literally take months to earn if you only relied on earning credits through gameplay. (They are now 15,000 credits each, and I’ve already unlocked one of them. Less popular characters are 5/10K) Who knows if/when the pay-to-win element will return. It’s hard to swallow spending additional money for popular characters when I’ve already paid quite a bit for the game itself. For now I’m very much enjoying the game itself.

As a Battlefront 1 player who bought all the DLC, but never got to play any of the multiplayer maps, I am a skeptic with this game. The campaign, though very good and a much needed addition to the title, can be on the short side in duration. Arcade mode, which promised a lot more for off-liners like me, has only a handful of maps @ start. The DLC is going to be free, allegedly, but u can't really rely on that. Maybe new offline maps will be added & maybe not. Too much uncertainty. It's also a game that's gonna chew up your free GBs like cookie monster mashing on cookies so u know how thats goes. The multiplayer experience is a mystery to me, but I hear it is worse than Battlefront 1. Dice could learn from the Call of Duty multiplayer style n' they should deliver all online maps for offline. Don't count on it. Last time I got to Bespin was on PS2's first Battlefront. It should've been on Dice's 1st Battlefront, but for me Nah didn't happen. Either boycott or jump on board n' give in to the darkside of money-hungry game developers that come up short while teasing greatness.

The game is fun and addictive but leveling up is ridiculous. You can only level up classes by acquiring cards, which can only be acquired with loot crates. Loot crates are hard to acquire, other than the daily one. They are very costly, and quite frankly, not worth the credits for no more than you get. Despite my complaints, the game is fun to play and I would recommend it.

Battlefront II compared to its predecessor feels like the complete package. We finally have a campaign mode to play as well as multiplayer. The graphics are beautiful and there are so minor issues and major ones (loot boxes) but overall a step in the right direction when it comes to these kind of games. Hopefully the next one will fit the nail on the head.

It's a good game, I've enjoyed playing it. However, it doesn't quite feel right yet. I love being able to play as all my favorite characters in star wars though! And the campaign mode has been enjoyable as well! I'm glad they added that. And the arcade mode, where you can re-enact relevant scenes from the movies has been really cool too.

Overall this game has an elaborate view of artwork throughout the multiplayer and campaign. The campaign was confusing and felt rushed for any hard core Star Wars fan who expects to play a side story. On the other hand, the multiplayer has greatly improved than the first one and is full of much more content within troop classes.
