if you don't provide enough slack or room to move the DP cable will bend and break. honestly, go for the Amazon Basics one (via Amazon of course) and you won't have this weird easily fixable issue.

It won't work with 2021 MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. Eventually bought Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to DisplayPort cable.

Cable stopped working after less than 3 months. There was no exterior damage and cable was not jostled around or roughly handled.
