The audio quality for games is great and the ear pads are super comfortable and breathable. I play a lot of apex legends so these definitely help in those intense situations. The battery life on them is good for wireless gaming headset but honestly they need to be charged pretty often. My favorite part about these is the dual connection so I can play fifa or other games with my own music on in the background. Music actually sounds pretty great in these too! My biggest annoyance is the wireless connection issues. Within a couple of weeks I was getting audio cut outs while playing any game. I searched online for more info and learned it has to do with wireless interference from other devices. That’s a pretty big flaw especially now that most of our tech is wireless. I reset them and the probably has gone away for the most part but every couple of days I do get some audio cut outs. Overall I really do like these and would recommend them.

Got this as a gift to myself after a successful semester with the help of a friend. Initially I was in love with it because of how easily I was able to set it with my PC or Xbox. Around November I heard a snap sound when I put on the headset, then a few days later the cup snapped off. You can see how cheap the plastic is and how brittle it became after a few months of use. I tried contacting customer support to see if they could help me get it fixed. I was told that they do not cover "accidental" damage. I am by no means rough on my headsets. A headset this expensive should not be this cheaply made. Having on one support point on each cup is just asking for total Failure. This interaction with the manufacturer plus the quality has turned me off completely from this brand and will never purchase one of its products again. I advise anyone looking for a good headset look for a more reliable brand that will not turn their back on you after making such a cheap product.

Read the reviews on the headset and thought they were really good. I like the fact that you can retract the mic when not in use and muting it with a button rather then flipping up a mic all the time. Downfall is I had the same problem with this headset as my turtlebeaches I had which was from putting on and taking off both sides broke where they attach on the sides and they only lasted a couple months. My turtlebeaches lasted longer and I used them more then I used this headset. Wouldn't recommend this headset for people that play a lot of video games.

Do not buy these wireless headphones. While the sound quality may be superior, the build quality is very poor and I can promise you that they will break. Not only will they definitely break, customer service at steelseries will not offer you a way for them to fix it or replacement parts. I am a very careful person when it comes to my electronics and even so, the plastic that holds the York up to the headband snapped and now I have no way of fixing it. Had them for less than three months when this happened and yet my wired Razer Krakens are still in perfect shape 2 years later

In my humble opinion as a gamer of consoles like Xbox for 15 years I have been through em all.. I know what your thinking, can a headset be with this much money?... Yup lol. Definitely, I used Turtle Beach Recon 70 Wired b4 these and OMG I had no idea C.O.D. sounded so amazing. The sound of reloading or know exactly what direction an enemy is. I'm mad I waited so long to upgrade. The wireless function is amazing as well. The battery last for days and the Voice Chat / Game Volume Mixer wheel on the left ear cup is perfect for any game but especially C.O.D. and master volume wheel on the right. LIGHT UP Mic when you hit the mute button with u always forget is on lol. Recommend and would buy again in a heartbeat. Look for black Friday deals y'all. PEACE OUT

Oh my god. These have been the opposite of worth it. I legitimately hate these headsets. Belive me when I say STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE AS POSSIBLE. I was looking for the best wireless mic money can buy for xbox. These were made with microsoft specifically for the xbox connect system. Wow is this trash. Sound quality is really basic, as in my over ear anker soundcore life q20's sound better. (Go look em up real quick) but my problem isn't with the incredibly average mediocre out of box eq mixing. My issue is with the fact that these cost over 200$ and not only do they have connection issues but they could not stay connected for even 1 full game of overwatch! Wow! I've owned these for 2 days (one weekend) and they have completely disconnected and powered down by themselves in the middle of a game, MULTIPLE TIMES on full battery. My gen 1 stealth 600s from 2 years ago that I'm REPLACING work better than these out of the box. And after all that I figured maybe the wifi interference had something to do with it, WRONG. I removed every wifi device from my living room just for this garbage headset (and it was VERY VERY ANNOYING) and still, disconnects while loading a game from the home screen and powers off. This product has been such a turn off for 200$ not only do I say steer clear from these specific headsets, but if you want a headset for xbox, avoid steel series all together, the only good products theyake are for pc and playstation.

I’ve had the original XBox and Razer Kraken headphones, which were good in their own right...but these are far superior. You get what you pay for, that may be the only gripe...they’re expensive. These connect wirelessly to the XBox One flawlessly and sound amazing. They are fully customizable on the computer as well. I haven’t had any problems yet...I highly recommend.

They disconnect on the series X due to their new controller causing issues. (patch is coming according to microsoft support) For how much these cost i expected so much more. They’re good but not $200 good

I’ve had the SteelSeries Arctis 9X for about a month now. It’s the best headset I’ve owned (upgraded from Logitech Artemis G633). I was sick of wired headsets and wanted to switch it up. I was afraid of the battery on a wireless headset dying a lot and not being able to game because of it, but the battery life of the SteelSeries 9X is excellent. The noice cancellation is great and the stereo surround sound is 10/10. It is very sturdy and durable with its metal construction. The ear cups fit over my ears so they’re very comfortable and the elastic band eases the weight of the headphones on your head. The only issue I’ve had with it, and this could just be a special case or something else on my end, but I have had it randomly disconnect from my Xbox mid-game. It will say not microphone found. It’s been frustrating but it doesn’t happen constantly just something that stands out and this is why I gave it 4 stars.

    Connection

About the only thing this headset has going for it is that its expensive and is comfortable. Outside of that, its crap. I purchased the headset on July 30th 2020. Ive had nothing but horrible connection issues with the Xbox One S and X, Xbox Series X, and the Xbox USB adapter, as well as with Bluetooth. Crackling, cutting out, and out right disconnecting... let alone the atrocious range. Line of sight is about the best I get and that's maybe 10 feet at best. Ive had nothing but issues with this headset. Even after the latest firmware update, I sill continue to have issues and SteelSeries refuses to acknowledge the issues let alone placate us by saying they are even working on it. To top this all off... I went to put on my headset a couple of days ago and heard plastic floating around in the right side. I pulled the headset off and to my surprise the plastic around where the hinge is, is broken. 6 Months and the hinge breaks at the weak spot. What makes matters even worse, aside from not being the only person on the internet with the issue, SteelSeries refuses to help either by RMA'ing the headset and or at least offering to let me buy parts to fix it myself. So now I'm stuck with a $200 pile of garbage. I took a chance on the headset because after reading all the reviews and watching all the review videos on YouTube. Someone said, give it a chance. So I did. I should of listened to all the people complaining on Reddit, YouTube, and basic review sites. But hey, SteelSeries got there $200 out of me, they don't owe me anything. I guess I'm going back to Turtle Beach. At least my Stealth 600 v1 lasted a few years before falling apart and had MUCH better range and connectivity.

    Interference

I really like these headphones. The quality of the build is very nice but do be careful with the ear cups as my initial pair snapped when they fell a few times. The sound quality is fantastic for playing games and the microphone quality is top notch. I don’t deal with the echos that a lot of my friends less expensive gaming headphones deal with. There’s even an EQ you can download if you want to customize the presets (there’s 4). The bonus is Bluetooth that works well and allows music from my phone why playing. The chat mixer dial is also a plus. The biggest issue I have is that the connection to the Xbox itself can run into issues. These headphones use the same proprietary Xbox wireless connection that the Xbox remotes do. Occasionally I run into issues with drops in the audio or not connecting at all. This leads to having to turn them on and off a few times before the issue stops. I have read that this comes from interference from things using 2.4Ghz frequency that the Xbox uses so try to shut off or distance your other electronics Using this frequency from you Xbox and where you sit in order to minimize this issue. This does include routers, which I myself had to move farther from my Xbox in order to solve this issue although it does pop up now and again. Also the battery life while good will cause connection issues as well so keep track of it. One good thing is that you can still use the headphones while it is charging via the micro USB connection as long as you don’t mind having the wire attached. Overall I say that the small snags do not detract from what is a pretty great pair of headphones if you’re willing to fork over the $200. I have converted some of my friends over from their old headphones when they tried mine out.

Wish I would have never wasted my money on turtle beach head sets. Went through 3 of the stealth 7 for x box in a year. With the Arctics I haven’t had any issues and love the sound and comfortable don’t have a bad thing to say about them just yet at least. Highly recommend these for any gamers

    Volume

Pros: Great sound, works seamlessly w/ the Xbox One X, and most importantly it is comfortable to wear w/ my glasses. Cons: 50/50 shot the headset will not work as advertised, media controls are not intuitive (outside of volume and mix), & the user manual is almost useless. I bought my 1st Arctis 9x and connected it to my phone straight out of the box. Not even 5 minutes into listening to music on Spotify, the sound stopped. I turned it off and back on, and ran into the same issue after a couple minutes of listening to music. I contacted SteelSeries' tech support, and they had me hit the reset button hidden under the right ear cup. Believe it or not, this made the problem even worse - I could only get 30 seconds max out of the bluetooth before it disconnected. The tech support team advised me to replace the headset at this point which is exactly what I did. My wife's first reaction was "Those look great because they don't look like your [Turtle Beach] headphones". She likes how these are very discreet unlike a lot of other brands. Visually, that has to be my favorite feature as well. The retractable mic is another good feature that makes the headset look like something you could (almost) walk down the street without anyone realizing you're wearing a gaming headset. I wear glasses, and can attest to wearing this headset all day while working for calls/music and not having my ears hurt as much as with other headsets. The sound quality is amazing. Footsteps galore, and you really can judge distance by sounds with these things. Music playback is top notch too, but they're no match for high-end music focused headphones. I've had zero issues with chat or other interference. If they were able to fix the quality control issues these would be a 5 star, but since you're playing headset roulette with these things I have to give them a 3/5. If you don't mind having to return a defective pair at least one time, this is the headset for you.

The mic quality is great and I expected this to be a perfect headset just because steelseries has such a good reputation. Unfortunately I have to take off one star because this headset has a lot of connectivity issues with both my pc and xbox. Sometimes I have to turn it on like 2 to 3 times because it just shots off right after I turn it on. There have also been times where it would just shut off randomly. Other than that, the sound and mic quality is great but I expected a more perfect headset for a high price tag of 200.

    Battery life, For xbox, Gameplay

This headset is pretty good. I’ve had it for just about 3 weeks now and it works as expected. The battery life is good. I’ve charged it 3 times so far. The mic quality is also good. The Bluetooth feature is very unique, being able to hear and use phone audio while playing on the Xbox is very useful. In between games I’ll go on my phone and open snaps or watch some TikTok. Overall this headset is really good. No connections issues, great battery life, and excellent audio quality. This headset is well worth the price for those looking for a higher end mic. I came from 3 yr old turtle beaches which were amazing they just were aging and I needed an upgrade.
