Street Fighter V is an okay game. The graphics are great, the controls are a bit too loose but okay and overall the game is enjoyable.

Street fighter v is a great addition to the famous line of fighting games. Characters are very fluid control wise with a new V trigger and V skill system in place for added moves, graphics take advantage of the next gen consoles capabilities. Note able negatives include limited game modes as of right now, and limited number of characters which Capcom said more will be released over time. You can also pick up the season pass for all the additional characters or buy them individually when release. Overall very pleased with this purchase and cant wait to see how the future released characters will play. I would definitely recommend this game to the fighting genre enthusiast, a MUST HAVE!

Best Fighting Mechanics in the Series

Pros: -Wonderful graphics brought to life by Unreal Engine 4. Zangief looks crazier than ever. - The controls are tight and smooth, and the fighting feels natural. Cons: -Minimal content. With 16 characters and lacking some modes at launch, I was a little let down. Free content coming this month though, so this will be somewhat alleviated. There is also content coming throughout the year as paid DLC (or with in game currency). Overall, if you are a street fighter fan, this is the best entry I've ever played in terms of the feel of the game. If you aren't in a hurry, wait until it's $40-$50 and then take the plunge.

Street Fighter 5: Glorified Beta Test Edition

This is an extremely disappointing launch for SF5. For starters, there's no Arcade mode to speak of...that means no way to fight against the CPU in 2 out of 3 round battles with a boss at the end (a staple of the SF series and pretty much EVERY fighting game since the 90s). The story mode is scant: You only fight 2-4 one round battles with CPU opponents and get some still comic frames with dialogue. I'm totally ok with the still drawings–they're excellent–it's just that, again, there needs to be more of it. Survival mode is pretty much bleh...just your typical one round battles for a set number of matches depending on the selected difficulty (its only real value is for earning extra colors and fight money). Furthermore, veterans of the SF series will notice some other subtle things that are unfinished...such as no special normal attacks that trigger when close to the opponent. Online VS. features are lacking as well: There's no spectator mode and the servers have connection issues–it's pretty bare bones. On a positive note, the gameplay, sound, and animations are all great and what you'd expect from a next-gen Street Fighter game...though the character roster seems a little thin at just 16 fighters. 6 more characters and additional modes are coming as DLC this year (potentially for free, depending on how much in-game money you earn), but the fact still remains...there's not much here at the moment. Unless you're an eSports tournament player, you'd best stay away from this one until the kinks are straightened out. It really does feel like a glorified beta.

    Excellent Gameplay, but Lacking Content

The gameplay mechanics are incredible, the most fun I've had with Street Fighter in a long time. However, the single player content is very lacking. Even basics like Arcade Mode are missing. Free DLC coming later could change that. But for now I can only recommend it if you have local friends to play with or if you're going to play online.

    Limited But Good

While the game is lacking in content, what's there is good. Graphics, art direction, sound design, and performance are excellent. The game maintains a rock solid 60 fps. Yes, story mode is very short. Yes, there were multiplayer server issues at launch. But Capcom has promised additional free content, and the server problems were fixed within a few days after launch. 16 characters may not seem impressive, but each one is unique, and the v skill/ v trigger system adds both depth to the gameplay and differentiation to the characters. It is my opinion that this game is a step forward for the series as it just feels faster and more fluid than SF4. Plus, the combo timing is much less strict, so it's easier for even new players to enjoy. I recommend this to fans of SF Alpha and SF3, though SF4 experts may feel turned off by it's more casual nature.

Fist let me say that I've been playing this game since about Aug 4 2017 and will admit upon first load up the game was bare bones trash. Then of course I got the updates and downloaded the story mode and bought both season 1 and 2 passes online a deal. Now it's 11/03/17 and I love the game as it is now, but wish this was all included at launch like the many early adopters had wished. Granted you can use the fight money to buy all the season 1 and 2 characters and stages for free, but Cashcom has gotten even more greedy now since all the new costumes that come out, you have to use real cash to buy them!! WTF!! Besides all that it's still a nice looking game and I have fun playing it and guess that's what matters the most. This game may not be for everyone either.

    Good Game, Not Good Value

What we have here is the Star Wars Battlefront problem. The core game is a good one, and it's polished to boot both gameplay wise and visually when lag isn't present. What it doesn't have is enough content. Not. Even. Close. While naturally more content will be added via DLC, paid and free, I will say the same thing I said with Stars Wars Battlefront: if you're a Street Fighter lover, you probably already bought this game. If you're not, you'll want to stay away until it's significantly cheaper. With games like Mortal Kombat X and Killer Instinct providing far better value-per-dollar, I can't recommend Street Fighter V at full price.

    A Classic Returns

I've been a Street Fighter fan since the 1990's and have grown with the evolution of this series. Street Fighter V (SFV) delivers for the most part. Great visuals, easy to learn mechanics and a solid online experience. My issues with this installment is that it's bare bones. I know that there is a free update coming that will deliver a true story mode and there's also a Arcade Mode in the pipe for a later update. But that's the thing, these should've been on the disk upon purchase. I know that Capcom has said that this will be the only version of SFV unlike part four which had a couple of versions that were not compatible with one another. More to the point, this is a fun fighter that can be enjoyed online or playing on the sofa against a friend, boyfriend or girlfriend.

The gameplay is flawless, and graphics are beautiful. However, it feels really wrong not having an arcade mode on launch, and with a very small character roster on launch and much DLC planned, it just feels rushed.

A strong entry into the series. The mechanics is solid and the online now is quite good. Capcom, however, released this game early for their pro tour so a lot of the modes are missing such as arcade, a decent story mode (the one they have doesnt count) trials and the battle lounge only support 1vs 1 right now. So while the base game is great, it is bared boned right now. Though Capcom is releasing the rest of the mode later on in March and July it really depends on how serious or how much of a fan you are. If you are a serious player you probably already have the game but for the more casual players it's probably better to wait till March when they release more content to make it more worth your buck.

Game feels incomplete and has a small character roster. I pre ordered the game for the Cammy costume and have not received it. Would like the game more if it had a complete arcade mode. What is finished does have solid game play. Free updates are to come that will add more content. Just wish the developers released the game complete instead of making us wait for updates. Once game is complete I would recommend to a friend but can't recommend as is.

The gameplay is great which is why I gave it 5 stars. Other than that there is really not much to do in the game right now, at least not until some added content. The stories for the characters are interesting, but fairly short. There is also no arcade mode, just a survival mode which takes a bit of grinding. I hope the challenges and the shop which will be added at the end of march make it more interesting. Of course there is online play, which is very well done in my opinion. overall the game is great, just needs a bit more content.

While the core fighting mechanics are great and the graphics are amazing, the game has little to offer as far as content goes. If you are looking for a single player experience, you will be disappointed. There is no arcade mode. Story mode is lack luster. There isn't much to do or unlock in the game. Many of the games content won't be released until there are future updates such as: challenge mode, costumes and DLC characters.
