I like how the amiibos are in this game. The difficulty system is very tempting to make harder and harder becuase you wage how many gold coins to bet. Overall this game is extremely fun. I had a blast when i took it over my friends house. I havent had that much fun playing a game in a long time.

Mario, Zelda, Metriod, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Xenoblades, Star Fox and so much more!!
Characters from each franchise get together again for an all out brawl!
Play online multiplayer or local 8-player matches for zany over the top mayhem with plenty of stages to choose from, some of which offer situational hazards and obstacles to avoid while fighting to come out on top.
There are plenty of assist characters and items to choose from; many of which can turn the tide of battle in an instant if used properly. There is also a single player mode, an adventure mode, and plenty of other modes to choose from. With over 30 characters to choose from and plenty of unlockable characters and stages you are sure to be kept busy and entertained for hours at a time whether playing with friends or alone.
This game is worth the $60 price tag simply for the nostalgia factor alone, however, for your money, you get so much more and unlike Microsoft's and Sony's consoles, you get a Club Nintendo code with each new game purchased from Nintendo which gives you points that you can use to purchase gifts from Nintendo Club.com.
I can't sing Nintendo's praises enough.
I am NOT a fan boy because I own an Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Nintendo Wii U and a 3DS, however Nintendo does not get the credit they deserve.
This is another well made exclusive title that can only be found on Nintendo's console. It was developed by Nintendo with the help of Namco Bandai. This is truly a remarkable fighting game that can be played by people of all ages. Casual and hardcore gamers alike will be satisfied with the amount of content offered in this game. Also, there is a Nintendo 3DS version that can be picked up as well and is almost as good as the Wii U version, plus it's portable.
As an added bonus anyone who buys both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions get a 2 disc Super Smash Bros. soundtrack and a free downloadable character as an added bonus. The end result is this: Do yourself a favor and pick this game up. You will not be disappointed!

I've been playing Smash since the first one came out on N64. This game is by far the best yet. So much content, so many unique characters, still loads of fun to play with your friends. What more do you want? Not to mention this game looks amazing. A must have if you own a Wii U

I picked up the new Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and have spent hours unlocking characters and playing the different modes. The game adds a ton of content from the Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii and some of the new characters are pretty interesting, although I'm a little disappointed with Mega Man (the Dr. Wily stage is really fun, though). All in all, a good refresh from the previous installment and the same high quality gameplay you'd expect from a Smash Bros. game.

SUPER SMASH BROS!!!!!
What happens when you add NIntendo's most iconic characters, toss in crazy weapons and levels with a dash of Non-Nintendo but video game character legends all designed by the same team that brought us Tekken?
SUPER SMASH BROS FOR WII U!!!!!
I have always loved the franchise since its debut on the N64 but the only one beyond that one I've played somewhat is Melee. But this game does not disappoint. Although I personally liked the Subspace Emissary found in the previous game they make up for its absence by adding a bunch of other feaures and events including a challenge board which is similar to the Playstation's trophy system.
If you like Nintendo characters and fighting games this game will be just your thing.

Most of us are familiar with Smash Bros games, and this one is similar to those past iterations. The overall gameplay is the same with hd graphics, new characters, new stages and some new modes. My favorite mode is the return of the events! Despite now having extra challenges to get the reward for each one (that often make me want to break something), it's still the quirky, random set ups that Melee had. My least favorite is the Wii U exclusive board game mode (I forget it's name). They should have just kept Smash Run from 3DS. The new Master/Crazy Orders mode is pretty fun to. It has you choose between 3 different special matches to complete for prizes. With 140 Challenges to complete, it should keep us busy for a while.

Nintendo did not disappoint with this sequel in the series of Super Smash Bros games. This version for Wii U is PACKED with the most playable characters ever. Will provide HOURS of fun solo or with family and friends off or online. 8 player smash is SICK! Play online for fun or for glory and test your skills against friends or anyone around the world! The Smash Tour is a fun feature as is Crazy Hand. Even bring customize your favorite characters and bring them to life with Amiibo! The First game I got for my new Wii U and my favorite so far! You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

I've been playing Smash since Nintendo 64, this one is really fun to play with my friends that I grew up playing Smash with. There is a lot of content that you can do co-op, not just battling. The game really misses its mark with Online though. I have a 150Mbps connection with Verizon and the Wii U is jacked in, not Wireless and still online play is a tad unstable at times. I dont like that custom characters are banned from online, not even usable in unranked play for fun. Some characters are only good if you change to their other skill options. Some are cheap and others more fun. Seems silly to add such a cool feature then exclude it from online. Nintendo has had a long time to fix their buggy network, since the Wii came out more than 10 years ago. The game overall is solid and really fun, and 8 man smash is hilarious fun. But online lackluster and removal of many features including no 8 man, custom characters and connections being inconsistent even with good speeds is unacceptable in this modern online gaming era. 4.25/5 for me.

A lot to love here. If you are a fan of smash bros or Nintendo this is likely an inevitable buy. But for those on the fence...
-it's the most balanced Smash yet
-it looks and sounds beautiful and there are tons of visual and audible collectibles in sound clips and trophies featuring themes and characters from Nintendo's (and Select third party) catalog.
-tons of control options. you can use a GameCube controller if you buy an adapter for it. If you have Smash Bros for 3ds you can also use your 3ds as a controller
- Seamless online play.
-it's just plain fun.

I never played SSB past the original on the 64 but this game is quite amazing. My brother was playing against me using his 3DS and the game he had and I was using the game pad that came with the Wii U bundle I got. I ordered a Wii U Gamecube controller adapter and controller but am waiting for it to ship. I can't wait to start playing with a group of people again! The game has a lot of things for a player to do solo and a ton of characters to choose from but the multiplayer is where it shines. I just love beating up on friends and family when they come over.

New Experience

As expected, this game brings new experience for super smash fans. Besides having a vast amount of characters, there has been a lot of improvements on previous characters, like Link for example. Also the fighting experience is slightly different than brawl. For example, chain grab has been removed in this smash game as it is not possible to grab the same opponent instantly after its been thrown. There are more new things in this new game that you will have to experience yourself. I would say this game is more balanced in a way.

The game is great and improves on almost everything from the last entry. The online play can be hit or miss at points but it is light-years better than what was in brawl. The game also has a great amount of new characters like Shulk that are fun to use. The only issues that I have with the game is the lack of unlockable characters and characters that were left out like Snake and Ice climbers but thanks to the constant update that add new characters and features the game is only going to get better.

While I knew what to expect, having played the 3DS version which came out a month earlier, I find the console play is way better in many regards. The controls are great and very customizable. There's also a wide range of characters, even though a few fans faves are gone and some of the new ones are merely clones of other characters (lookin at you Dark Pit).
Overall this is a solid game and meant more for multiple people or competitive online players, rather than a kid friendly game.

A lot of people were waiting for this title to be released before buying a Wii U. If you're reading this and don't own a Wii U, this (amongst a lot of other titles) should be your main reason to get it. Everything was improved upon from Brawl on the original Wii, as well as better online multiplayer and 8-Player smash battles. There is a ton of content here, so will be playing for a long time. Amiibo support is nice, but it's not required. Definitely recommended.

Smash Bros has long been a favorite Nintendo series, but this one completely outdoes all of the previous entries in terms on content, control, gameplay, and of course graphics. There is no better multiplayer than a local game of Smash Bros.
Truly amazing in motion, and spending time mastering all of the characters is both enjoyable and will take plenty of time to learn. One of the best bang for your buck games around.

Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U is a ton of fun. Great Roster of Characters and with the Amiibos provide a ton of depth. Gameplay is always on point. There is even an 8 player mode which is insane. Game runs smooth, with no lag. The Smash Bros. Series has always been one of the best in Nintendo's history, and this game is no different. A must have in your Wii U Collection.

Smash Bros is a wonderful series and this is the most content-loaded entry yet. If you have a Wii U and you don't own this, you're doing something wrong. Plus the third party characters and DLC characters are providing for character smackdowns you would have thought would never happen in addition to the thrill of battling Nintendo characters against each other.
