I already had this sub for my family room. I purchased a another sub for my bedroom because it cost a bit less and was a 12 inch ported. It lacked the lows, smoothness and transitions that this sub has, so I returned it and now I have this sub in my bedroom. You don’t have to crank this sub to get quality sound and the construction is solid. This is a 10 inch driver but ported and in large enclosure. It will put most 12 inch subs to shame, ported or sealed. Now I have two and I enjoy deep bass downstairs and upstairs. There are many subs, smaller, larger, costlier, cheaper but none rivals SVS for value.

I purchased this sub a few months ago. When I installed it initially I wasn't that impressed. So, I went through the Audyssey speaker calibration again and whoa!! It came alive! I've had subs from Polk Audio, PSB, Velodyne and others but this thing beats them all. The bass is subterranean and just blew me away. It rattles pictures on the walls and just makes me smile. Well, I liked it so much I've decided to go dual 10's and get another one. Just to even out the bass (so I tell my wife). I always say "it's for the family because everyone gets to enjoy it". And that's true.

I needed to replace cheap Polk sub for my entertainment center, and started looking into SVS. I was initially looking at one 12” for $800, but most of the research I did stated you should go dual subs. Most said if you’re choosing between one 12” or two 10”s, go dual 10”s. It has to do with the bass waves and how they overlap to fill the room to reduce dead spots. I initially tested this theory with two Polks I already had, and there is a huge advantage. So I bought dual 10”s and could not be happier. They fill a 17x30 room with vaulted ceilings perfect for me. I can play them nice and loud and no distortion. I also raised the low end frequency of my in wall speakers to get rid of bass rattle from them, since these more than handle the low end. I do recommended getting the upgraded feet for them, as the tiny ones that come with it just seem subpar. I have owned these for 8 months now, and would recommend them to anyone.

Been waiting a while to drop this review, but I'm currently jamming to a 2.5 hour music mix and the bass is thumping. My movies have never sounded better, there's proper rumbles going through.

This is my first subwoofer for home use ever, and I'm very happy with my purchase. SVS has fantastic support and was very quick to answer a couple of basic questions that I had. Sound is excellent in my home theater and I can't believe I waited so long to buy one!
Value is excellent for this unit as it is -very- reasonably priced, especially for everything you get in terms of quality.
If I could change something, it would be to either move the connections to the side or change their positioning on the back by 90 degrees so that I could turn the sub sideways and have the cables hidden.

Probably an overkill for our little living room but boy... what a floorshaker.
I thought I don't really need a sub because my front speakers can go as low as 38Hz, but there is a whole new world of experience below that.
And this thing can go down to 19Hz!
I don't think I could do any better for the money.
They say ported subwoofers aren't that good for music listening, but if set up right, this one is awesome.
I was watching Deadpool (that I've already seen) to test it, but I finished the whole movie. It's better sound than in a movie theater.

I’ve been trying to find the right subwoofer to pair with my Clements 107di bookshelf speakers for a while. Initially I bought an Elac 3010 sub...I found it lacking...didn’t seem to integrate well with the mains. After doing a fair amount of research on the SVS PB-1000, I decided to return the Elac and picked up the SVS. After installation and running Audyssey on my Denon AVR, I was literally blown away. I first played some of my favorite “test” CDs in stereo, and was amazed at the full, but very detailed bottom end my system was putting out. Also, the PB-1000 integrates so well with my Clements that vocals and midrange frequencies sound full (not bloated). Overall, my system seems to have improved as a whole, thanks to the PB-1000. Watching the first 20 minutes or so of “6 Underground” on Netflix was a treat! Bass is so impactful and punchy. I’d definitely recommend this subwoofer to all my picky friends.

Highly recommend for anyone with a $500 budget. I bought two of them and couldn't be happier. It has added so much to my home theatre and music listening experience. Best Buy associate was also very helpful placing the order for me.

This is only the second subwoofer I have ever purchased and can’t believe the increase in performance compared to my old Yamaha subwoofer. It is large but has great output and sound quality.

I raised my sub budget to $500 specifically to include this sub. I purchased this subwoofer based on reviews and recommendations from various HT sites and forums. I have not once regretted my decision.
This sub complements my 3.1 HT setup for our open floor plan home.
- Denon x2600h
- elac unifi floors and center
- SVS pb1000
Deep, solid, penetrating bass. Listening to instrumental jazz is ridiculously satisfying.

Great product and easy to setup. Great first sub. Pairs well with simple 2/3.1 setup and of course everything else beyond that. I have this paired with Klipsch R-51m bookshelf speakers which sounds great with this sub. It really can fill the room even at lower volumes it performs well.

This is definitely a HT sub. Drops nice and low, great for movies. A little slow for HiFi music but not terrible. If you are 80% movies and 20% music, this is a great happy medium at a entry level price.
Unbelievable volume for a entry level sub.

I was able to sell my previous SW just a few weeks ago in order to purchase an SVS. After doing some research and going through several reviews, I decided to go for the SP-1000. In just two days, I can guarantee you that you will notice the difference. Low frequencies are so clear, deep bass with distortion or shattering ( I replace the original isolation pad for the SVS SW pads).
I recalibrated all my speakers on my Yamaha receiver from large to small speakers at 80 Mhz and it makes a big difference. Now the speakers have more power and the mid-range and twitters sound amazing.
Using the SVS for movies on my HT set the content at the theater-level I was expecting.
Go for it, it is worth it, "budget" friendly compared with other SVS references, you don't need to break the bank to have an amazing sound on your home theater.

It's huge. I cannot stress this enough, look at the measurements before deciding this is for your room. But if it is, it's the best $500 and under subwoofer you can get bar none. Doesn't need to be loud to its job and fills up the room.

I have been a B&W speaker owner for a long time. Love them but I did not have a great experience with the B&W ASW sub. Performance was average and it died on me after a while. I have been researching for a new sub for quite some time and finally decided on this SVS puppy. This thing is a BEAST!!! I got it paired with the rest of my B&W speakers (5.1 setup) and powered with a Denon receiver. We tested it yesterday with the 4K version of Avengers Endgame and the effects and the bass was out of this world!!! Highly recommended!

SVS is a well know brand when it comes to sub-woofers and even though the PB-1000 would be considered an entry level model in their line up, they sound really really good. That's my subjective opinion of course but for context, I own two of them in a hybrid system that serves up both music and home theater in a 12 x 12 ft room with high ceilings and an open double door space. Both subs volumes are set at about 40% after running Audessy on a Denon receiver. I am satisfied with bass on music genres like Rap, House and EDM and dont experience the sort of "boominess" I had with a prior 12" powered ported Polk Audio subwoofer. As for movies, these deliver in spades! Its addicting levels of bass and even the wife expressed how good they were though she did ask me to turn them down when we were watching Tenet. Thanks Nolan!!

Awesome subwoofer. Completes my home theater perfectly.
My main speakers can go as low as 34Hz, but this is a whole different league.
Works great for music too.
