Love this little Neat scanner. It's small so uses very little desk space. Scans fast, just insert the receipt and press the Scan button or use the keyboard shortcut key. It also reads the receipt and pre-fills in the fields for you. You have the option of importing an image or PDF also, and it allows for multiple page receipts. It also sums the total of all receipts in each folder, which saves me from manually adding them all up. Since it is named 'Mobile' scanner I thought you could take it with you, scan receipts and then download them later, but that's not how it works. Not sure why it has Mobile in the name. The other flaw I found was when the program was Syncing with the Neat Cloud some of the field values would change, so I had to go back and re-fill those fields in. It's probably something I am doing wrong though. Also it does not scan receipts longer than 30 inches, so that was also a bummer. Otherwise a great little scanner!

I have had a Neat Receipts scanner for about 6 years. I scan every receipt we receive and file them by category. Almost every store and vendor will accept a printed copy of a scanned receipt. With the ability to scan for key words you can look up the 'sewing machine' you bought several months (or years) ago to see if it is still within the warranty period when it fails. You can then print the receipt and take it to the store. I spend about one hour every month scanning receipts and then destroy the originals. This eliminates the boxes of paper I used to keep. It also allows me to see (not sure if this is a plus) how much we have spent at one place. I purchased this unit to replace one lost in a house fire. The data backup I had off site has allowed us to 'price' everything we purchased since I bought my first unit for insurance purposes. I simply restored the backup to my new unit and all my receipts are available to print.

Found the product very easy to use, scanned a lot of my business and home documents. The phone APP is great and allows for anytime access to my documents. It did freeze up and it required me to uninstall it and then reinstall. A bit of a pain but not hard.

Simple to use, portable, slow but expected for a portable device. Had a bug and needed to reinstall the software but worked fine after that. Decent portable device only, would not recommend for an office environment with large quantities of scanning.

I travel a lot and need to do expense reports and capture a lot of receipts on the road. I like the portability and USB power of this scanner. I'd probably give it 5 stars, but the software that came with it is not as great as I thought it would be and it doesn't export PDFs like it is supposed to. I'd fairly likely purchase it again but might instead go for a cheaper version and come up with some online storage and indexing of images using Google Drive or some other free software.

I mainly use Neat Receipt on my Mac for taxes and to keep up with expenses. It is really easy to use and keeps all my paperwork organized. I work on the road and I am regularly gone in excess of 10 months at a time. I could not live without it.

Easy to use and very compact. scanner worked well and receipts get scanned and stored fast. Works well with Mac.

Easy to use, small and easy to transport. Some soft ware issues with my desk top unit but not to bad.

This Neat Receipt Scanner has certainly helped me organize my various work expenses as well as personal expenses. As a marketing rep I love this device for the business cards to which I find this whole thing amazing. After downloading the app and utilizing the cloud; in essence I have hundreds of business cards on me at all times and so if I go into a different facility I remember everyone by name and can contact them at any time. Anyways, this is an organization tool I don't know how I lived without.

This thing has completely made my life/business easier. It's easy to take from home to my business as well. It helped me get organized and it's easy to use.

This tool has changed my entire expense management and made my life so much easier . It is small, portable and so easy to use . I started scanning and saving receipts to PDF files without ever reading instructions . Very good price for this item. It also removes wrinkles out of the pages .

The quality of this scanner is even better than my previous all in one printer scanner fax machine. I needed something that was portable and provided quality scanning. In addition to the scanning quality, the software user interface is easily understood.

My complaint would be that this isn't fast enough for several documents, since you must feed it through one at a time. The price/value is good and it does what it claims to do. I can see why the Neat Desk cost more. It organizes well on the computer.

I love my Neat receipt scanner for handling all of my receipts for work travel. I really love the software that creates an amazing searchable database of the receipts. My three complaints about this device is that despite the fact it is "called" portable... it comes with no protective case for transporting it. I travel for a living and it goes in my laptop bag and gets bounced around pretty good. My last one did die on me after 3 years of weekly travel, not bad, but should have been longer lived considering it is supposedly made for travel customers. The second thing is that scan quality is good but it is not a replacement for a full resolution scanner for photos. And finally, the speed of the scanner is mediocre. It is a bit slow to pull the page thru the feeder.

I am just starting to scan in business cards. I would like to scan in receipts but need to figure out how to catagorize receipts that have multiple tax catagories on the same slip. I have not yet realized its full pootential and am anxious to find out just how much time it can save me.

I love my Neat scanner! My first one was over two years old and getting a bit noisy. A new one was bought at Best Buy to replace it. V-5.6 is the new software. I suggest Neat let owners be able to load the V-4 as it worked a lot better. 5.6 won't export PDF without crashing. I have updated all the progs and drivers on my W-7 8 gig i7 1t.

I am a small business owner, I got this to keep up with paper work and fuel receipts I love my neat receipt it's so easy to use and it a very clear copy to the computer, I highly recommend buying !

I was skeptical that this tiny scanner would be able to create searchable documents, jpgs or PDFs, but it can. Although it is not perfect, and what is? The majority of the time, the software can correctly find the necessary information like cost, location, date and populate it's fields. I always check to make sure everything is okay, because sometimes a receipt for $20.05 is input as $2,050 - so always verify. It's a great little scanner and although it's not perfect, it makes keeping track of receipts so much easier!

I couldn't see spending that much money on a full size neat scanner when I could do the same thing with an app on my phone or use my printer scanner. But the portable ones price made it a better deal to try and get the same software

I bought this product a few years ago, but returned it as the software didn't work that well with a Mac. Thought i would give it another go and this time i was impressed. Scans quickly and software has been improved. Quick pdf scan works well.
