Multiple problems, some service difficulty

I've had the oven since June and already have had three problems, very disappointing for Thermador product.
The first problem happened the first time I used the over, to do an initial self-cleaning. The cleaning worked but after the cleaning the oven would not work. The service technician explained that a power reboot would fix the problem, and it did, but it didn't instill confidence that the reboot was required. I haven't tried a self-cleaning again but will this month to be sure.
Second problem occurred late August. The over errored out and would not function after preheating was complete, error 1601, a problem with the oven fans. I called support and they recommended a reboot (power cycle). I did that and it fixed the problem, so I didn't schedule a service call. But then it happened again in November and now I had to reboot the power before each use--a workaround but very inconvenient since they recommended the oven be without power for 30 minutes. We scheduled a service call.
The Service Technician came out on time (he's always been on time) and he determined that the fans needed to be replaced. He put them on order but was going to be on vacation and with the holidays he scheduled the next service call for Jan 2nd.
Third problem. This one is related to the second problem, same problem really (error 1601) but now even a power cycle reboot would not correct the problem, and I had no oven for Christmas and New Years. A real pain, had to scratch some dishes and use the grill for the ones I could still do, very irritating.
So, Jan 2 and the Technician calls on time as normal, but he doesn't have the parts, and he doesn't know why so he's going to follow-up when he knows what has happened and when the parts will come in. So, I have no oven indefinitely at this point. I'm sure it will get fixed eventually but at this point I don't know when, and I've had to schedule time off work to be home for the service calls.
I'm hoping that replacing the fans fixes the problem, if not, that will be another 2-4 weeks of no oven. At this point the oven has been degraded or not functioning for more time than it has functioned, roughly 2:1.
I hate to give 1 star, but I think it is merited at this point. I can adjust it later if they fix the problem and the oven operates for more than a few months without issue. I don't fault Thermador for having a faulty part in their oven, it can happen, but the multiple problems I've experienced and no difficulty getting the replacement part, that's a 1 star for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
