I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I just recently started getting into the marvel universe, so I’m catching up on these. I watched Ragnarok before this, and while I enjoyed it, I liked this one more. The picture quality was stunning and loved how this movie was shot. It’s a gorgeous looking disc.

Beautiful artwork and finally a 4k release! I love the back cover art progression through the trilogy.

I got the steelbook version and best buy doesn't have it anymore. Thor is a good movie to watch and a beginning for Thor & Loki. Thor started out as being arrogant but in the end he realizes what it is to be a hero. If you haven't seen this yet, watch it and you will get into it.

Thor is an exquisite film. I thought it was smart, well written, visually stunning, very well directed, and struck just the right tone for the material. There’s really no other movie you can compare this one too. It’s part psychodrama that explores the depth of human relationships but still delivers great action. It also gives us a human element to which most anyone should be able to relate. This movie really is exceptional. From the epic opening set on Asgard, to the awesome battle with the Destroyer back on Earth, Thor is filled with plenty of action, a compelling story and some superb direction from Branagh. Yes, I said superb. Everything I wanted in a film such as this and, actually, quite a bit more.

This is one of my favorites of the Marvel releases. That said, this, like the Iron Man 4K films released at the same time, has had much of the grain scrubbed away in favor of a more digital appearance. That said, there is finer detail apparent through much of the film and the HDR has rendered much more vivid and beautiful colors when compared to the blu-ray transfer. The Dolby Atmos track is not going to bring down the house, but it, like the Iron Man 4K films, is at the very least serviceable. Disney has opted for a muted / controlled sound field that rarely allows the bass to explode to a depth that better accompanies the movie at times where it makes sense to do so. Bottom line: I highly recommend adding this movie to your collection as the video is still an upgrade over the blu-ray due to finer details and HDR color rendering, not to mention the quality of the film itself.

As with the other films re-released in 4k, this one looks overall very crisp and you can definitely tell the difference between it and the HD version. This one does not seem to suffer from the blurriness issues that the Iron Man upscales had. For what it is, it's amazing. There are a lot of upscales where you can see no difference in quality. This is not one of those. The packaging itself is wonderful. The artwork and borders go well together. Hopefully Ragnarok gets a re-release to match. Great addition to my MCU 4k steelbook collection. PS: Best Buy, please stop sending steelbooks in bags or mailers. They almost always get dented or bent and then I have to return them and wait for another. Just use a box.

The first time around watching this movie I didn't think too much of it but now that a few years have gone by and Hemsworth's Thor has appeared in more movies, I've grown to love his portrayal of Thor and I can really appreciate all the work that has gone in to making Thor: The Dark World. It's a beautiful looking movie on 4k and the soundtrack is really good. All these superhero movies can only benefit by assimilating more of the comic stuff and Walter Simonson's run of Thor provided some of the groundwork for this movie and it worked as well as Jack Kirby's run of Thor worked for Thor: Ragnarok. I hope we keep seeing more of this in future Marvel movies.

Solid movie to introduce Thor (and, by proxy, Hawkeye) to the MCU. Shakespearean in nature thanks to the direction of Kenneth Branagh, it seemingly gets an unfair rep for being too slow and disjointed compared to the rest of the MCU. Within the context of Thor's escapades throughout the MCU and his character development, I believe this to be a fitting starting point. This Blu-ray doesn't have the depth of special features seen with later MCU films, but that is in part because of its place as the first film in the series. Definitely worth the purchase.

I feel like Thor has aged well. I enjoyed it when I saw it in theatres on opening weekend, but I have grown so fond of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston since this movie, that I think it gets better with age. Sure the late adjustment they made to bring it into modern times feels clumsy at times with the Asgard narrative that had been established, but the chemistry between cast members more than makes up for that. Everyone seems like there having fun, which is a stark contrast to the heavier-handed sequel, where no one seemed to like the movie that they were making, even though that one is still better than what people give it credit for. The Thor movies demonstrate what most fans already know: even the weakest entries in the MCU are better than most franchise's best entries.

I had all the MCU movies in regular Blu-ray some had digital copies this one didn’t. So when I got into steelbooks and saw this new release I said why not! I really wanted a digital copy and I rather pay for disc/digital and a nice case instead of just a digital code. And since there’s probably no chance of a whole 22 movie infinity saga set I can settle with getting this and all other new 4K releases of the MCU movies with matching covers! This movie is actually pretty good still crazy how long this MCU trip has been

I’ll be honest, the first time I saw “Thor” I wasn’t a big fan. I was 13 and I loved Loki, who didn’t get as much screentime as I would have liked. But now, nearly eight years later, I love this film. It’s amazing. The story and character progression are amazing. The way the characters (Loki and Thor) change over the course of this film.... it’s unlike any other MCU movie thus far. Please watch this movie, at least twice. I’ve seen it at least 14 time since it came out in 2011.

This movie is great, has amazing lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

I skipped this movie the first time around. I only recently bought it to completely watch all the Marvel movies. I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed the movie. I am a Star Wars fan and find the super hero movies cheesey. I prefer the force and magic, to mad scientists and weird mechanics. This brought them all together. Great date movie- should be offered every summer drive in season.

This Is One of Two of My Favorite Superheroes. I highly recommend checking out this movie. If you’re a fan of Thor, you’ve got to own this as a collectible. This is the best Thor Movie out of the three.

Once again, this is a film not shot in native 4K but is a 4K upscale. With that said, the scenes on Asgard and in space greatly benefit from the upscale and the sound quality is arguably the biggest benefit. As with the other Marvel 4K re-releases, there are no new special features from the original blu ray release, but also comes with an HD digital redemption code.

Thor is not the greatest MCU movie, but it is a decent origin fish out of water story. I place it somewhere in the middle of the bunch, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston play their parts well and the action is out there. The ending felt a little rushed, I think they could've stretched out the story a little more. The 4k steelbook is an awsome addition to your MCU collection. With the original release artwork for the cover, a nice inside wrap around photo of Thor and disc art for both the blu-ray and 4K discs makes this a must have.

Great movie, price was a little high, but nobody is selling 4k or bluray anymore so might be standard now.

Thor is an action packed movie. Thor 1,2,and 3 are really good. They all have a lot of action. I would recommend if you like marvel movies. Personally, captain America:the winter soldier is my favorite but I like the Thor series the best. The relationship between Loki and Thor is interesting. There is betrayal, love, and action in this movie.
