Picked this one up. I wanted a performance controller at a good price. Picked this little guy up. Unit has a firm build and very light weight. controls felt tight and responsive. I would say this controller is about half the weight of my Elite. And quite comfortable. It has a slightly smaller size but still comfortable for me. I'm 6'2" with big hands! Face buttons has a flat feel vs original controller with a rounded top. I reallty like the ability to smoothly slide across for multi press. Setup was quick and simple. Simply plug into the XBOX and off we went. You do have some configuration adjustments and the programable buttons bring in a new perspective. This unit has the HallEffect AccurRate Technology - HEART. I haven't experienced any drift and i really like the stiff feel of the sticks. So far, so good. Have high expectations for this controller and hope it has the durability. It does seem well built. My only complant, and I won't detract is that this is a wired controller. So it will stay in my office for close gameplay. As i don't have a cable long enough for my living room. Good perfomance device, high build quality. Good price over the regular control. Recommend!

I bought this controller because it isn't supposed to drift, but on Xbox, there's a weird glitch where it constantly moves down. I don't think it's actual stick drift becuase it doens't happen in the xbox button menu, but it's useless to me regardless. Will try another firmware update.

The controller worked well for the first couple months(I’ve only had the controller for 4 months), but overtime the buttons wore down eventually becoming stuck and unresponsive. The longevity of the controller is not worth the price, maybe if it was more durable.

This is a really awesome wired controller. It is very lightweight but also feels heavy duty at the same time. So far I find it very responsive, much more than the wireless controllers. While I wish it was wireless it would defeat the purpose of the responsiveness it advertises, and ultimately delivers on. It is also just a really cold design, half black and half white to match the colors the consoles come in. It works really well on both the Xbox Series S/X as well as my PC. It also just feels right and has good grips. I’ve noticed already that it is more responsive than I’m used to causing my to adjust my gameplay, but in a good way. It also comes with a pretty good length USB-C cable but I expect it will work with a longer one as long as it supports high speed data sync. While I haven’t had it very long, the design does lend itself to preventing drifting over long term use and based on my experience so far, I full expect it will last a long time and outlast other controllers that I have.

Weighing less than the out-of-box Microsoft Xbox controller and being less expensive than the Microsoft X-box Elite controller, the Thrustmaster H.E.A.R.T controller is a great option if you want an elevated X-box gaming experience. I have always enjoyed Thrustmaster’s wide range of computer gaming accessories where they have flight joysticks and steering wheels and all kinds of crazy contractions to help me feel like I am driving a big rig or flying a real 747 from the comfort of my gaming chair. It felt a bit odd to unbox what appears to be just another normal Xbox joystick. What’s different though is the inclusion of the H.E.A.R.T technology. Without H.E.A.R.T you basically end up with Nintendo joy-con drift, so it’s a great feature to have over the long haul and makes sense to include this given the proclivity for Thurstmaster’s primary focus on simulation gaming. I mentioned the controller is lightweight, which is fantastic because the controller doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy. I attribute much of this to the use of mechanical buttons that are 64% faster to respond compared with Microsoft’s out of box Xbox Controllers. The plastic markings on the handle grips and the buttons do a great job of making sure the controller doesn’t slip from your sweat soaked hands during intense gaming sessions and so far it has held up well to a few accidental floor drops. Overall I think this is a great joystick to pick up for those interested in elevating their gaming experience beyond the controller that comes with the Xbox.

This controller comes in a very unique color pattern. I like the mix of black and white and the cool RGB lighting down the center. The USB cable is little shorter than most wired controllers, but not too short to cause many issues unless your connection is very far away from where you are playing. The controller has the fill of a standard Xbox controller but is actually much lighter. The two back paddle buttons work well but seem too low for my extended comfort. The thumb sticks are very responsive and are quick to return to the neutral position when released. My only issue with the front buttons is there are two extra function buttons on the top right and left. I keep hitting them by mistake when trying to select the actual menu buttons below them. This could probably be overcome with practice. What really sets this controller apart is the Thrustmaster application. I have been using with a PC and the software allows easy customization and button assignments. Multiple profiles can be assigned for varies game setups. The RT / LT trigger buttons do not have physical bumper slider adjustments but can be digitally controlled from the application. You can set the sensitive of the start end pull through of the software. This allows you to get the perfect customization of control and sensitive that suites your playstyle. This controller takes a little getting used to and the more I use it the better I like it. The H.E.A.R.T functionality also advertises that you will not experience drift with extended use.

After 2 OEM Xbox Series controllers and a higher-end Razer controller all developed stick drift, I was greatly intrigued when I read about the Hall effect technology in this controller. I don't think I'm particularly rough on controllers, but they do see a lot of use. So while only time will tell, having a controller with sticks that won't be as prone to mechanical failure is a huge plus. Packaging was adequately protective yet frill-less and easy to open, which I really appreciate. The included power cable (USB-A to USB-C) is a quality black braided nylon cable that's plenty long enough for me, but if you're used to a wireless controller and find the reach a bit too restrictive, you can purchase a USB extension cable to give you even more leeway. The controller itself feels well-made, with buttons that are smoothly clicky in the way a well-made mechanical keyboard is, and sticks and triggers that have just the right springy resistance. The two extra back buttons are intuitively-placed, programmable via the app. They are very light and positioned where they can't be accidentally pressed when tightly gripping the controller. I'm impressed with the software, too; the app seems well-made and customization was easy. It is also more fully-recognized by my Xbox software-wise. I can change all of my headset volume settings from the audio menu just like I could with my OEM controllers whereas with the other aftermarket controller my Xbox would say I needed to connect a compatible device to access these settings and I can assign what the share button does just like you can with the OEM controllers. The cable that comes with this is really high quality. It's covered in braided material but not overly rigid. The molded heads on both ends are very thick and strong, and the USB-C end that fits into the controller is very secure - I don't really have any concerns about it wiggling around or breaking the connector by dropping it on the cord or something. The buttons all feel great and the control sticks do too. There is no drift and they behave exactly as expected. During a particularly crazy fight, I was surprised how much force I was exerting on the sticks. I backed off because I felt silly for doing so but I found the sticks could handle it and much more without issue. They are very strong. The customizable LED "strip" is a nice touch and the color can be set per your preference. My only gripes are the Start/Select/Share buttons placement. They're awkward, and I use them a lot for certain games and item management. That's like the only bad thing I can say here. Also, the controller is pretty light (0.5 lb). I like my Xbox controllers with batteries in them. It just adds some good heft. I think for a next iteration, removeable weights would be great! I really feel that they make a guide on how to use the software especially for deadzones on the sticks. I found a fix for this online but haven't had time to try it yet. How much angle percentage you need to start registering input? The smaller the deadzone, the lesser you need to move your stick to register an input. They suggested to keep something >3% and adjust if you start experiencing drifting. So overall, I think this controller feels 95% as good as the stock Xbox controller, but it's features are above what the stock controller provides thus making this a better deal IF it holds over time. For the price, it's unbeatable and I 100% recommend it!

This new heart controller is exactly what I wanted. Pardon me, it’s exactly what I wanted after I went through a Gen1 and -2- Gen2 Xbox Elite controllers. It’s a full plastic construction that is very well made, with no creaks, bends or rough edges. This construction makes the controller lightweight and the shape is almost the same as the factory controllers, they do have more area to grip on the lower parts of the handles. I had no issues reaching any of the main controls. Reading the legends on the middle 5 buttons was nearly impossible for me (hamburger, select, profile switch, share, and remap, it turns out…) reading the instructions helps too! You can perform most functions directly on the controller with simple button combos. There are two profiles programmable via the PC software and they save to the controller, switching with one button, which is plenty for me, I have one set up for driving and one set up for everything else. The headphone jack gives good sound, and the simple mute button by the jack makes it very convenient. No batteries, no charging, no adapter, good headphones, good gaming. The LED bar in the middle is quite prominent, of course necessary, because… gaming… it can show s few colors and you can set them up to indicate the profile you’re using. The heart of the H.E.A.R.T. controller is the Hall Effect sensors for the sticks. The connection is entirely magnetic and senses the position of the magnet with extremely fine precision. These switches and sensors look like they’re going to be the way of the future, and you can now get them at a reasonable price! The buttons are mechanical, with a satisfying click on actuation. I did not think that was going to make a difference for me, but I’ve found that I am using less force to hit buttons and the click is making me a little cleaner and quicker with the buttons. Thrustmaster’s “Thrustmaster X” software gives you fine grain control over the special features of the sticks, you can make adjustments to how progressive you want the response on each stick individually. This is really good in Forza Motorsport, which is the main game I have been playing with the controller, switching from PC to Xbox series X, since it’s the same game on both. The smoothness and precision on the left stick after a few adjustments are absolutely improving my lap times. I didn’t think a controller could make that much of a difference. The button mapping is limited to other controller buttons, there is no option on PC to map to keys. The cable that comes with the HEART is high quality, even with a ferrite sleeve, but it’s way too short, I would recommend a really good quality cable to reach where you like to play, I was able to find a 10 foot cable at Best Buy, just search for SKU 6410842, and it should come up. I haven’t had any issues with it yet. A great controller well worth it’s price.

The Thrustmaster xbox/windows controller is a fantastic gamepad that serves 2 purposes; precision and response. Using its Hall Effect AccuRate Technology, the thumbsticks are extremely responsive and you can make very small adjustments with them. Unfortunately, to acheive this it must be a wired controller. Not having wireless is a big drawback, but the level of accuracy you get makes up for it. This controller is perfect for flying games or really any game that you need fine tuned control of your movements. It comes with about a 6 foot usb-c cord which works well if at a desk or small living room, but makes it difficult if in any other size setting. It has a port for a headphone jack on the bottom, 2 extra buttons on the back that can be programmed or turned off, and a somewhat different button lay out for button mapping. The usb cord is also detachable for storage. Button mapping can be done with the Thrustmapperx software that can be installed on both pc and the xbox. It is very simple and easy to use. The overall quality of the control feels really solid and well crafted. It certainly does not feel cheap and the button presses as well feel very good. I am amazed at the level of precision this controller offers, and definitely improves the overall gaming experience. For its price range, It is a bit high for a wired controller, but is an amazing value overall for the improved experience you get.

I really like this controller. The ThrustMapper software is a must, because out of the box the vibration settings are way too high for my liking. This controller is very light, lighter than many other wired only battery less controllers I've had the last 3 generations of Xbox consoles. It works great on PC as well. The braided USB C to USB-A cord is long enough for console uses of course, so its way to long for laptop use and fairly long for desktop use. The triggers are shaped differently than normal and are quite pointy to your fingers. It took me a while to get used to them, but I don't particularly notice it now as long as I don't go back and forth with another controller. The shoulder buttons are shaped a bit different as well, but nowhere near the difference of the triggers. The extra buttons on the back are positioned well and easy to program. I haven't had a problem pressing them on accident. The precision of the controller is customizable through the Thrustmapper software and can be very precise. The lighting is a nice touch, and at its lowest brightness setting, it is not very distracting to me. I am looking foward to many years of hall effect driftless thumbsticks!

The Thrustmaster - H.E.A.R.T Controller for Xbox X|S, PC - White is quite possibly the best hand held controller I've ever used. Thrustmaster went all out when designing this controller, and it shows. Everything about it is top notch. It exudes quality. The feel in the hands is perfect, the button lay out and placement is exactly where you expect them to be when you reach for them. The controller paired with my PC so instantly I had to go into my settings to see if it was recognized and it was. The haptic feedback vibrations are pretty much perfect right out of the box, and I never had to remap any of the buttons for any of the games I used it on. In racing games the Hall effect sensors were nice and precise allowing greater control of the cars to a degree not usually possible without a dedicated steering wheel set up. All of the buttons are mechanical switches, which activate at a micro 0.3mm of button press, giving the added edge in fighting games and others where response time is the difference between winning and loosing. I'm pretty sure this is the king of the hill Xbox style controller for the $100 price point, I'm actually surprised it isn't more expensive. I highly recommend.

In my years of gaming, I have played with Xbox controllers in the early days but since used the PS world controllers since I tried this controller. Why would I try it? Not because I changed consoles. It was because I wanted it for PC gaming, which this does. And does very well. The packaging is well thought out. However the getting of the app you need to update the firmware that is notated as strongly recommended throughout the different packaging materials. I am a very casual gamer, but not a full-on one, so I will just review on how this controller is. I mean the controller is very well made and solid feeling. The colors of black and white looks very cool in general. The LED in the middle which can be changed to different colors on the fly is cool and the brightness can also be adjusted, which is awesome for people like me who likes to game in the dark or games into the night. Once I updated the firmware on my PC, I was able to check out the different options of the controller. I really like how you can test out dead zones and adjust for that. The buttons came out for me out of the box excellent. I guess my only gripe is that I have been in the PS controller world for so long, that when playing PC games on Steam, which correctly recognizes the controller and maps everything out perfectly by the way. That the controller makes my smaller hands cramp when using the controller for more than an hour at a time. I guess this comes with age but the PS controllers have never given me that issue. It can be a small hand issue, I don't know. That is one star deducted from my rating. I mean the usage is fine but the comfort part is a huge part of gaming, especially casually gaming. I don't want to be hurting my hand after gaming, that defeats the purpose of gaming for me. I am not sure if getting a cover or slip would solve the issue if I still want to use this controller or not, that is being debated.

THE BEST controller for the Xbox Series X!!

The Thrustmaster H.E.A.R.T. controller is a phenomenal piece of hardware that makes gaming on the Xbox Series X even more immersive and exciting. I have been using it for about 3-4 hours per day for about two weeks, and it has quickly become my favorite controller, hands down. While the Thrustmaster controller feels similar to the official Xbox controller, there are some noticeable differences. First, this controller is strictly powered via cable, which means there are no options for batteries. It does ship with a USB-A (Xbox) to USB-C cable (Thrustmaster controller), but it was too short for my setup, which meant I had to purchase a 10-foot cable to use instead. I'd say the included cable is about 6 feet long, so if you need longer, you'll have to keep that in mind. The upside to using a cable is that you're not dependent on batteries, and there is no delay time when it comes to inputs from the buttons. Another difference is the face buttons, which are totally unlike any other controller I’ve used in the past. The “travel” on the Thrustmaster buttons is incredibly shallow, meaning you really can press these quicker than on a traditional controller. This did take a moment or so to get used to, but now it feels natural, whereas the buttons on the original controller feel excessive in their travel. There are also two buttons on the rear of the controller, which you can use instead of the face buttons to keep your thumbs on the joysticks. Thrustmaster claims that these joysticks are totally unlike others on the market, which is pretty cool, although when you are using them they feel completely normal. They will apparently not develop drift over time, which if true, will be awesome for the longevity of this product. The shoulder buttons and triggers also feel pretty standard, but that's not a bad thing at all. The directional pad feels pretty standard, but I can’t tell if it’s made in the same way as the face buttons or not. That’s not to say that it feels bad, I just can’t quite tell if the travel is the same. To be fair, I don’t use the directional pad too much when I’m playing games, so I usually don't pay much attention to it. Still, like everything else on this controller, it feels solid, responsive, and well-made. This controller has a 3.5mm input for headphones, and a dedicated button that can mute your microphone, and also be used to change the headphone volume on the fly. I love this, as there is no way to adjust volume like this on the stock controller. Another cool feature is the LED strip that runs down the middle of the controller. This can be programmed to display several different colors, and you can adjust the brightness of each from the controller itself. While it doesn't really serve much of a functional purpose, it does look cool when the lights are down. The finish of the Thrustmaster controller is very nice and textured, and feels very well made. The shape of the controller is very similar to the official Xbox unit, so if you like the hand-feel of that one, you will probably like this one as well. As I mentioned, this has been my sole controller since it arrived, and I typically play first-person shooters on my Xbox Series X for 3-4 hours a night. I haven't found any problems or issues with this controller, it is just that good. If you’re in the market for a new controller and don’t mind using one with a cable, then I would absolutely recommend you check out the H.E.A.R.T. controller from Thrustmaster.

Gamer's edge Hall effect sticks, drift free!

If you're a gamer, then you're looking for a controller that gives you an edge over everybody else. The same is true in life, having an edge gives you more chances to advance. So naturally, when I need a new controller, I'm getting one that solves the issue of drift most controller get after a year or so. The potentiometers that regulate the pitch and rotation of the mini-sticks wear out from continuous use. That's why the HEART controller by Thrustmaster is a literal game changer. It uses Hall effect magnetic proximity sensors on the thumb sticks! This means consistent, precision accuracy with no chance for drift because of the lack of any mechanical friction. Typically, you would find hall sensors on the trigger buttons in the front on most controllers today. When you notice you're buying a wired controller for the price of most wireless models, you realize this is a serious unit. Granted, you are going to get faster response from a wired unit, and I didn't have any other wired units to do a proper comparison, but I tested it with my new favorite Dragonball Z Sparking Zero, and I have to say, I can do Sonic Sway with characters that don't have the feature. I'm impressed with the premium quality and feel; it's comfortable to hold, and the programmable colors make it look pretty sharp. The bottom extra keys are perfectly placed for me to tap with the sides of my middle fingers. The audio pass-thru on the back with mute button is a nice touch and the braided Usb cable adds to the pro look. I think the difference is clearly noticeable and, though more expensive than many wireless units, it's half as much as a wireless unit with Hall sticks. Get it if you're a daily player; it will last. Don't get it if you're an occasional weekend player; you won't notice it as much and by the time your controller starts experiencing drift, these will be more affordable.

This is a great wired controller. It is lightweight and fits nicely in my hand and easy to navigate the buttons and sticks. I use it on our Xbox and also on the pc, it works great both ways. One of the cool things that the kids love too, is the LED display in the middle! You can change it to a number of different colors and control how intense the lighting is. I was able to use it quickly right out of the box, just really plug and play. Then later I downloaded the app to see how it works. It does give more options to personalize the controls but I’m not a fan of the app. It just seems a bit more complicated than I like for this little controller. And I can use it just fine on its own without using the app. This looks similar to the many Xbox controllers we have used but this new HEART technology seems to make it different from all our others to help avoid drifting. When using the controller, it is fast with no lag time and responds great to follow the path. I would imagine that this will continue as opposed to the others after using for a while, stop working, starts wearing down, and drifting. We’ve looked up tips over the years to keep our controllers from drifting but nothing seemed to work longterm. So I’m very hopeful this Thrustmaster HEART controller is the answer wev have been looking for and will last for a long while.

hands down the best controller i’ve ever used. i returned my razer wolverine v3 tournament edition to get this and it was the best decision i’ve ever made. this is the most comfortable and responsive controller i’ve ever used. the grips are anti sweat and there is no issues running it on zero dead zones and the response curve is pure linear which makes aiming with this controller feel amazing i will never be using another controller again. the two back buttons are in the perfect spot for your middle fingers and still allow you to grip the handles tightly. also side note is that ps4 control freeks will fit on the joysticks and the only negative i can say about this controller is that it doesn’t have trigger stops but the triggers have a relatively short pull and the software app allows you to fully customize your trigger dead zones and input as well as completely customize the response curve using number percentages which is the most in depth response curve customization i’ve ever seen on an xbox controller. over all 10/10 controller. and perfect for fps games like call of duty my aim has improved drastically using this controller. 5 stars.

This review is on a Thrustmaster - H.E.A.R.T Controller for Xbox X|S. Currently, I have been playing on my controller for about 2 years. So, of course, there is some stick drift. There is little to no tension in the sticks that I play with now. So I am used to this and have muscle memory for it. This controller is the exact opposite. The tension in these sticks are pretty strong. When I use the light muscle memory that I have for sticks, I kind of get a skip motion when aiming as I try and follow the enemy. As of now, I don't think I have used it enough to tell if it makes a difference in my aim. I definitely can tell that you won't be getting any stick drift with this controller. When pulling out and letting go, they snap back into place really quick. KontrolFreek's do fit the sticks, if you enjoy using them. The controller has no rubber grips. This is good and bad. It will slip off surfaces easily, but rubber grips tend to wear out and get sticky over time. So this is another reason for longevity. Also, the design of the controller is perfect for my hands. The way the triggers fit my fingers, to the way my middle finger fits the curve in the back, lays the point of that finger perfectly on the back button, yet can be put off to the side so that it is not in the way. The app lets you create profiles for different settings. One of the settings is for sensitivity curve and dead zones. There are 3 curves points and 2 dead zone points you can change in each stick. You can also change button mapping and vibration levels. The fourth option is changing the triggers. You can shorting the amount you have to pull on the trigger to get a 100% pull, but I am still pulling on the trigger 100%. So, I would prefer trigger stops.

Was great and really accurate.. when it works. Less than a month and it's disconnecting constantly. Super annoying. Even BSOD's me. Come on at this cost it should work.
