Pricey bit of hardware for comfort, clear talking and listening. If you can muster the cash it’s a good grab for those critical games or when you want to be immersed into the environment of it all. I’ve owned Turtle Beach before and was expecting upgrades and similar quality. These did not disappoint in these regards.
You need the App, connected to the internet and check for any updates. It’s not so plug and play as one would think, but once you get through a basic setup and test session, everything becomes clear to any newb to the headset.
The Android app is relatively basic and as expected with sliders, buttons, profiles an automatic grab for firmware if there is any. There are standard profiles and option to add custom profiles that you can be given a name. You can mix mic and game levels for dedicated line-out of on the amp. Everything is through the app and the control amp is just volume and Bluetooth pairing button.
The Bluetooth is handy for taking calls or messages that you may not normally hear while gaming with a dedicated headset. Call quality is good and it is a nice bonus to using the APP/being connected via Bluetooth.
I play COD regularly with a group of buddies and the quality in chat clarity was noticeable better than my prior headset. I used bass profile which bumps up the bass which is great when I unleash firebombs or something. I haven't noticed anything in the super hearing profile. And as far as surround sound, I can tell there are some sounds that seem to come from behind, but not regularly. For this I know the coding has to be there in the game and mileage is going to vary for the game itself and any specific maps for multiplayer. So don’t expect you’re going to have this amazing surround sound experience by just plugging it in. It needs the code and settings to be aligned for those affects to come into play.
Comfort for my chubby man-head was good, though a little sweaty for longer play. That is what it is for over the ear headphones. Headphone fatigue will set in after a couple hours and that should be a sign of enough gaming for the day, anyhow. Some people can wear headphones all day and it doesn’t bother them. So the fit and feel is going to be specific for the individual. It is apparent that they put emphasis on the design trying to keep it light and adjustable. I do like that you can turn the speakers to lay the unit flat and the standard adjustment in the length when pulled out or pushed in. The top head rest cushion is needed and offers the stability and balance for fit. Not a fan of the plastic side pieces that snap out for upgrading to a custom side plate. Just added weight and no function in my book, but hey – whatever works for some people - Not for me.
Sound – though good, it is not high-end audiophile quality. Don’t get me wrong, they sound great, but nothing that just absolutely blows you away. But these are a gaming chat headset and not dedicated music headset. They are clear and offer a decent amount of bass, but nothing so earth shattering. Most of the time the volume is near max. It doesn’t go that loud and it is probably a good thing. Again, it’s an improvement from what I was using and it is now go-to setup for online chat/gaming.
If you are into gaming with a headset it will be worth checking out, trying the fit at the store and seeing if they are for you. Solid build for the mic, mixing and quality of sound is there. This will get you through long gaming periods comfortably and improve your chat quality. Further, for someone who is a twitch streamer or needs to record a line out session of their game/chat...
I would not recommend this to someone who is looking for a dedicated music listening headset. This is for gaming and chat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Turtle Beach - Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset with Elite SuperAmp Bluetooth Audio Controller for Xbox One
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*****Review*****
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Professional gamer? Harcore gamer? If you answered yes then the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 gaming headset is for you. My first impressions of the headset is that Turtle Beach has done an excellent job on the packaging and presentation of the headset.
On to the design and build quality of the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset. Turtle Beach has decided to be a bit more “subtle” when it comes to their design. I like the fact that the headset itself has been stripped of all buttons and knobs. Instead, you’ll find the volume control knob on the SuperAmp. Speaking of the SuperAmp, you can also control all your output through your phone (Turtle Beach Audio Hub). This is due to the fact that the SuperAmp is supported by Bluetooth. I like the magnetic mechanism that Turtle Beach went with for the ear cups. Turtle Beach made it so that it’s extremely easy to pull off if that is your intention yet sturdy enough so that it doesn’t come off easily by mistake. The ear cups also have some really nice cushion as they are memory foam infused with cooling gel for those long hard gaming sessions. When it comes to comfortability, I have to say that the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 is just perfect. I love the ProSpecs Glasses Relief System that Turtle Beach is marketing. I wear glasses and I must say, I had NO issues at all with discomfort with the headset squeezing the side of my ears and head. The only issue I have when it comes to memory foam cushions is that they don’t provide full noise cancellation. But it’s sort of a thing you have to give up in order to have high comfortability which in my books it's fine.
Now onto the performance… I am honestly thoroughly impressed. The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 is equipped with 50mm drivers. If you’re the type of individual that likes “lifelike/full” sounds, you will not be disappointed with the Elite Pro 2. If you’re the type of hardcore/professional gamer that needs DTS Headphone:X 7.1 surround sound to hear where the gunfire or footsteps are coming from, you’re covered with the Elite Pro 2. What this all basically means is you have full sound through the mid and high ranges. The low range provides just enough “oomph” without actually rattling your brain. Don’t forget that a lot of settings can be fine-tuned in the Turtle Beach Audio Hub. The microphone itself does what it’s supposed to do. The microphone picks up clear audio that you are trying to output to your teammates and it does a pretty decent job with not picking up your surrounding sounds. The problem I found with performance is in regards to the mic and only the mic. Although the mic projects my voice clear, my experience seemed a bit “muted” if you get what I mean. During my gaming session, my teammates were telling me that my mic made my voice project “small”. So although my voice was clear, it wasn’t always necessarily loud enough.
Overall, I have to say that I am quite impressed with the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset. I didn’t encounter any discomfort during my long gaming sessions. Audio was always on point and excellent so I don’t have any complaints there. My only complaint I had is with the microphone itself. If your a hardcore or professional gamer that loves comfort and beautiful audio while staying tapped in to your phone, I’d highly recommend the Turtle Beach - Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset with Elite SuperAmp Bluetooth Audio Controller.

The Elite Pro 2’s are the newest high end offering for Xbox and Windows 10 from Turtle Beach. In all my years of console gaming I have never had a pair of Turtle Beach’s. I had plenty of friends with TB’s through the Xbox 360 days, but I was content with my wireless chat headset at the time. Fast forward to now, and I have a variety of headsets to choose from when gaming. It seems fitting to try out the newest headset from the company that more or less started the high end console headset market.
First Up – Build Quality
Build quality, I have to admit, is excellent. These are by far the sturdiest feeling headsets I have picked up. Even beyond the metal frame of my HyperX Alpha’s. The fit and finish of parts is excellent. The plastic used above the earcup pivot is fairly substantial, and it had me think it was powder-coated metal (like the part below the pivot). The suspension band setup is well made. The top arch is all metal, and the elastic band is fully hidden under the pad. The earcups feature magnetic pads for quick swaps/cleaning – a feature that until now I didn’t know I needed. The earcups also have magnetic cover plates that can be swapped out for different designs or removed altogether. Side note – I wish they would have made the texture of the covers match the rest of the headset (covers are gloss vs matte textured of the headset). The connect points for the mic and cable are under the right ear and pop in with a satisfying click. The mic boom is pretty robust. The wires are housed in a flexible metal sleeve that is then surrounded by a flexible plastic casing. It holds its shape well and the flat profile of the mic receiver is nicer than the puff ball. There are no volume or controls on the headset or cable, but the cord does have a mic mute slider integrated. My cord clocks in at about 80,” so a little over 6.5ft.
All of this leads down to the included SuperAmp. The SuperAmp is powered via USB on either your Xbox or PC. The included USB cable is 10ft long. Between the mic cord and the USB cord you can sit 16ft back from your XB1 if you can handle a stretched cord. I sit about 10ft from my XB1, so it reaches just fine. The SuperAmp itself is a pretty nifty little puck that I will get into later. Build-wise its also well made and easy to interface with.
I only have one real issue with the build/design of this headset. Trying to use the headset without the SuperAmp caused some issues. When I plugged the cord straight into my XB1 controller (or the chatpad), I seemed to get some popping/feedback if the cord rotated, and other times the sound would turn static for no apparent reason. I don’t get this at all with the SuperAmp.
Next Up – Features
The Elite Pro 2 has several novel features. The earcups are one. As I mentioned they are magnetic, so they are easy to service/swap out. They also have a glasses relief feature that pulls the pad in to allow for more comfortable fit for those wearing glasses – myself included. They are made with leatherette sidewalls for better noise isolation, and athletic mesh fabric for the contact surface. They also have cooling gel, so along with the mesh they will help keep your ears from roasting will the leatherette blocks the outside world.
The SuperAmp itself. I have seen a lot of review websites comparing the Pro TAC (which could come bundled with the original Elite Pro) to the new SuperAmp. The reviews haven’t been kind to the SuperAmp when those two were compared head to head. I have no experience with the TAC, so I can’t make that comparison. I do have this to say, the OG Elite Pro + Pro TAC bundle started over a hundred dollars more than this Elite Pro 2 + SuperAmp bundle. The price point gap makes the comparison difficult before you even listen to the sound difference or compare features. For me the SuperAmp is pretty good bit of hardware. The volume dial is smooth and easy to adjust. The LED light alerts you to status changes – i.e. if your mic isn’t plugged in, or its muted. Little things. The companion app is fairly robust. It has tons of features and settings to adjust your chat/gameplay mixer, adjust the EQ, save presets, setup mic monitoring, etc. There are also the streamer focused features. The SuperAmp has a dedicated output for your audio streams. There is also of full suite of settings focused on streaming within the app. I have never streamed anything in my life, so I haven’t tried this out. The app also has a toggle for switch the headset between XB1 and PC mode. My only gripe with the Super Amp is the app. For whatever reason you can adjust all the things you want in the app except the volume. For that you must adjust it on the puck.
SuperAmp Bluetooth is awesome. Pairing your phone with the Amp allows you to seamlessly answer your phone during gameplay, or be able to hear notifications come in. When a call comes in, answer it on your phone (you know, swipe to answer or whatever), and then your game mic automatically cuts over to the phone, and your conversation is overlaid on top of your game audio like a game chat. Pretty slick to be honest. The only gripe with this feature is not having a button or something on the headset to answer or ignore the call – instead you have to look for your phone and pull your attention. Not a big deal for me, but I can see others not liking that.
Third Up – Comfort
I found the Elite Pro 2’s to be fairly comfortable. The earpads were plush, and the glasses relief added a little extra comfort. I have thicker framed glasses that don’t flex much, so the relief actually made for a little better earcup fit/seal than I usually get. The construction of the earpads kept my ears from getting too toasty (leatherette sides for isolation but fabric mesh for the surface). The suspension headband on the other hand left me wanting for more padding. I could start to feel the weight of the headset after about an 1.5-2 hours. Kind of disappointing to be honest, they really just need a bit more padding since the band is plenty wide enough. All those robust and sturdy features add enough weight to make the headset need just a little more padding to keep up. I might try to add a little extra padding myself because I think that would clear things up, and these would be super comfortable to wear for long sessions.
Last Up – Sound
The Elite Pro 2’s feature 50mm neodymium drivers with a 12HZ-20kHz frequency range. A little lower range than your standard headset (20Hz is usually the bottom). This should keep anything real low and loud form distorting/clipping. I fiddled with the EQ’s in the app to adjust my sound. I made a couple of presets for music and games. I tend to like my music a little heavier on the bass and treble, so I adjusted the boosted bass/treble preset to suite my needs. Overall my music sounded great. The bass was DEEP and punchy with enough rumble to boot. I am pretty happy with these for listening to music while I work. For games I kicked the bass down so I could hear some critical noises a bit better. I tried out the Super Human Hearing feature tonight for the first time. I can certainly see (or hear) the usefulness of this feature. It amplifies the frequencies that footsteps would make while also flattening out the other game sounds. This made it easier to identify where shots came from. However, I don’t play competitively, so I prefer to have my games sound…fuller. If I’m in a tight match or want to get serious, I can see using this feature. Overall, the sound reproduction with these is very good. The drivers definitely keep up, and are more than cable of pushing the highs and lows.
Like most mics, I had no issue hear. Through monitoring I can tell how much the mic is picking up, and it seems to due a good job of isolating background noise. If had dozens of phone calls using the headset, and never had a complaint or anyone say I sounded different/weird.
Other thoughts
The features and construction of this headset really do present a pretty solid value. Right now I have a couple high end headsets that are strictly limited to my PC. They just don’t work with my XB1 which is disappointing. To be able to use these on both is great, and certainly an added bonus for me. There’s one design feature I want to mention. The inside of the speaker looks like a graphics card blower-style fan. For whatever reason I think that’s a cool design, and I’m glad they made it like that.
Conclusion
Turtle Beach’s newest high end headset delivers a good value proposition to those playing XB1 and PC. You can seamlessly switch from one to the other and maintain a great sound experience across both platforms. The small details and construction of this headset are well executed and produce a robust headset design. The sound quality of the neodymium drivers accompanied by the EQ’s of the SuperAmp deliver a solid aural experience that I was happy to experience. My only negative is pointed towards comfort. The headband is just a letdown. The earcups are excellent, the fit is great, but the headband just comes up short. For this price bracket you should be able to leave these things on all day without feeling any discomfort. The sound, features, and build quality of this headset warrant a 5 star rating, but that comfort is enough for me to knock a star off.

I have used a few Turtle Beach gaming headsets over the years and this one ranks as the best by far.
Pros:
- My first concern with a wired headset is always cord length. This was not an issue as I could easily sit in my recliner and game about 10-12 feet away from my entertainment center.
- I tested the headset out with Far Cry 5 on my Xbox One X. The sound was incredible. I could hear every sound around me and the direction it was coming from.
- The mic monitor works great. You can see how you sound to make sure your voice is coming through clearly for other people in multi-player and you aren't breathing heavy into the mic.
- While I dislike having to install yet another app on my phone (see below), the features it provides are really nice. You can choose from audio presets depending on the type of game you are playing (racing, FPS, etc). You can also design your own presets.
- Comfort level was decent, but not the best I've experienced.
- While these are not designed for noise-canceling, they do a really good job of keeping ambient noise out so you are not disturbed during your gaming sessions.
Cons:
- While it has nice features, I really dislike installing additional apps on my phone. I would prefer to have a small attachment to my controller that would allow me to adjust game/chat volume instead of having to pick up my phone.
- This is the heaviest headset I have used for gaming. I imagine marathon gaming sessions will start to cause my neck to ache. Fortunately, with two kids, I don't get more than a couple hours at a time to play.
This headset should definitely be considered by any gamer looking for an upgrade on an older model. You will certainly be impressed by the sound quality and features.

Superior listening experience on a premium speaker

At Christmas, I was gifted the game Red Dead Redemption 2. I’ve been playing it religiously since then and exclusively using the audio directly from the TV’s speakers. It’s been an enjoyable playing experience since I felt like I didn’t really need a premium set of headphones like I do with an FPS game. With an FPS, the gaming dynamic is so much different and your strategy is largely based off of the placement of other players — premium sound that takes you into the game is practically essential in order to succeed with those types of games. When playing through story mode of RDR2, I felt like the TV speakers would be sufficient. Towards the end of the game, I started using the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset and it totally changed the gaming experience.
I’m going to breakdown my test of this particular set of headphones into three categories — comfort, set-up, and sound quality. I feel like with headphones — especially gaming headphones — those are the biggest areas to look at.
SET UP
I have a set of wireless headphones. They work through a receiver dock that connects via wires (optical audio and USB) to the Xbox. I typically prefer wireless headphones because I don’t like having a cable draped across the room while I play. I feel like it limits my movement. That said, I have had my share of issues with how wireless headsets connect/disconnect at times. So, using a wired set of headphones was a bit refreshing — except for the set up.
Out of the box, you will have the headphones, the hub, a Mini USB cable, a 3.5mm audio cable, and the detachable microphone. The microphone snaps into one of the 3.5mm ports on the left ear piece while the audio cable goes into the other. The audio cable then plugs into the output port on the front of the hub with the headphone icon stamped above it. This was a little confusing to me because on the back of the hub next to the Mini USB port, you’ll also find another 3.5mm port labeled “Out”. At first glance, I would assume that was the port you should take the audio out from to the headphones, but that isn’t the case here. That port is designated for stream-out for recording streaming audio on your PC. You will also want to make sure that the end of the cable that plugs into the headphones makes the inline controller (for muting the microphone) is nearest to the headphones.
Next, you will want to plug the Mini USB cable into one of the USB ports on the Xbox for power and connection to the gaming system. Here is an issue I have with the design. I was really surprised to find that the power/connection to the Xbox was run by a Mini USB cable — a method that is largely outdated. I even consider Micro USB to be somewhat outdated since USB-C started hitting the scene. Once you have the cables plugged in, you’re ready to fire up the Xbox. You will need to go into the audio settings of the system and select Windows Sonic for Headphones under Headset format and set the Party Chat Output to Headset.
There is a companion app for this headphone system that is available on both Android and iOS. I downloaded it for iOS. The hub has a Bluetooth multifunction button on the side that you will want to press in order to pair it to your mobile device. This app allows you to activate special functions on the headphones like Superhuman Hearing, Chat Boost, and Game Presets. You can also control the mix between game sounds and your chat audio. There are three profiles that you can set up in the app and then control it all from your phone. This was actually a really refreshing option since it allows you to control the features of the headphones separate from the gaming system. I was in the middle of my game and just tapped on the screen of the phone to activate Superhuman Hearing and the setting switched without interrupting the game. I think I prefer this method of accessing features to just having controls on the headphones themselves.
COMFORT
I listen to music almost constantly while I’m working. There is probably a good 6-8 hour period in the evenings when I’ve got some sort of headphone on. My preference is for over-the-ear and as such, I’ve really taken a liking to the way the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2’s feel. They are surprisingly lightweight and the padding on the earpieces keep the ears feeling nice and cool — no matter how long you play. The padding is soft and they just fit really nicely on the ears. I didn’t ever feel like they were too tight or not providing a solid seal around my ears. I played RDR2 for about 2 hours using these headphones and was very comfortable the entire time. I also plugged them directly into a mobile phone and listened to music for another 2 hours or so while I was working and was still very happy with the comfort level they provided. I actually switched back and forth between a set of wireless over-the-ear headphones and the Turtle Beach headphones and found that the Turtle Beach ones were much better.
SOUND QUALITY
While I was playing RDR2, I was really impressed with the quality of the sound I was getting. It was much easier to interpret the game action through the headphones and I was hearing more nuances that I wasn’t able to hear through the TV speakers alone. As crisp and clean as the sounds were through the headphones, I really didn’t notice how incredible the headphones were until I streamed some videos and music from a mobile device and laptop.
At first, I connected the headphones to a mobile phone. I played several clips from movies on Netflix and was in awe of how good the audio was. Sometimes I will just listen to audio from a movie or a TV show that I’m familiar with in place of music while I work. Because of this, I’m very ‘in tune’ with many of my favorite movies. Using the Turtle Beach headphones to watch some of these films made it a whole new experience. With Guardians of the Galaxy 2, I was able to hear raspiness in Baby Groot’s voice that I never heard before and the individual flutter of a fly’s wings before Groot tried to eat it. I also pulled up Raiders of the Lost Ark — a movie I’ve probably seen hundreds of times since I was a kid — and watched the first 10 minutes of the film. There were a lot of sound effects I’d never heard before and the music track took on a whole new life -- and I’ve heard that music performed live by an orchestra. After revising some of my old favorite movies, I switched over to my laptop and listened to some specific music tracks (Circle of Life from The Lion King and Why So Serious? from The Dark Knight) and I was amazed at the amount of life those tracks had just by listening to them through the Turtle Beach headphones. The Elite Pro 2 headphones have the best sound quality of any other headphones I own. Using them to watch those video clips and listen to music made it like experiencing them for the first time again.
CONCLUSION
Despite the somewhat messy set up the Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming headset, I can highly recommend them based on the sound quality alone. They are incredibly comfortable and even though they aren’t noice cancelling, the headphones will still block out a lot of ambient sound based on how well they cover a person’s ears. I believe these are a worthwhile investment if you enjoy high-quality audio.

This is my review of the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 200 gaming headset. My first impressions of the unboxing were great. The headset itself was packed very nicely and gave the feel that I was about to use a high quality product from Turtle Beach. I have been using the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 previously. The set up for the Elite Pro 200 was relatively easy and it was ready to go in minutes. The app you have to download in order to fine tune/adjust the sound is simple but takes some time to get it just right. The good part is that you can save your settings (I made specific adjustments for PUBG alone). This is my first wired headset and I really don’t mind not having wireless. The amp is ok but the adjustments are a bit difficult to get just right but I guess that is what the Turtle Beach app is for. It would have been great if the mic was noise canceling. My friends reported that the headset sounds great on their end. The sound quality is very good and is accurate as to where sounds are coming from in any direction. As for the hardware itself, the headset is very sturdy and feels heavy in your hands. When I am wearing the headset, it feels great. My ears do not get hot and I don’t feel much of the weight. The adjustable ear cups that allow space for eyeglasses works great. It definitely takes a lot of pressure off my face when my glasses are on. Overall it is a great headset but $250 is a little steep. $200 would be more reasonable that is why I gave it only 4 stars.

I'll start by saying that when I realized these headphones were wired I was not exactly thrilled. We play Xbox in the bedroom, with the Xbox on the tv stand and us sitting on the bed. There's quite a distance between the two. However, the wires are plenty long enough to reach. Setup was super easy, the instructions are idiot proof, pictures and all. The sound is great, crisp and clear, and loud if desired. We mainly use these for the Friday the 13th game and I can always hear everything perfectly. The microphone is very flexible and moves in every direction, which is perfect for kids who like to move stuff around, making it very hard to break I imagine. It is also detachable, it comes detached and you just snap it in. The headphones are very comfortable, even while wearing my glasses. There is an app to customize the sound to your liking, however we haven't felt the need to use it because we can hear everything perfectly. You can easily mute/unmute the microphone by sliding the switch on the wire, which then changes the color on the amp from green to red. I've never had a person not be able to hear me perfectly, and vice versa. You can also use these headphones to plug into anything with a headphone jack: computer, iPad, phone, ect. Which will come in handy if you have kids and they want to watch something on the tablet while in the car or same room as you. So far I am very happy with these headphones, fingers crossed they last for years to come.

Turtle Beach Elite Pro:
Opening the Elite Pros was very similar to watch aunt’s of mine open expensive bag presents and smirking.
Before taking it out of the box I knew this was going to literally be game changing! It is!
Off the bat I’ll address sound quality; it is mesmerizing in the sense that normal earbuds made me think I heard everything but then I put these on and I could hear the direction people were walking up to me in my Battle Royals rounds! The sound of missals was distinct that I could win a battle before someone else walked up to me!
It is packaged like the luxury product it is with nice and easy set ups and not a lot of fuss!
I won’t lie having to synchronize the volume module to a phone, which connects to the headphones, which also connects to the console seems dated but that’s the only qualm.
I’ve already played more than enough rounds to know I’m okay forefeiting my old headsets to these because they are far better quality all around! The ear cups are comfortable, the white design is very minimalist storage is easy since the wire are thin and if I choose to do so I can personalize the ear cups with magnetic plates.
If you’re serious about games then get these, they serve their purpose and have hidden gems built in. I do like the mute button on the wire and that my mic is flexible and not stationary by my mouth all the time. Friends said I sounded great and wanted to know what model of Turtle Beach I had so I bet they’ll jump on the band wagon and get some as well. Alright took a sec to write this, back to my game!

I have used several different headphones for gaming, all from high end name brand companies but never from Turtle Beach for any specific reason. I was really looking forward to the latest creation from Turtle Beach to compare and see what the hype is all about. Upon opening the attractively packaged headphones, the headphones and amp were very well protected which was a great introduction to how much thought they put into these headphones.
After unloading everything from the box, it was very easy to figure out how everything needed to be set up. You simply plug the USB cord into your Xbox console or Windows 10 PC, connect that to the provided amp and volume control, and then plug the audio cable into the amp and then into the headphones. For certain audio controls you’ll need to download the smartphone Turtle Beach app and connect the amp/headphones wirelessly via Bluetooth to your smartphone. The instructions ask you to change the settings in your Xbox/PC audio settings but they still worked without having to do that. My main concern before opting for these is that they are still wired to your console. Depending on how far away you are sitting from your display, that could be an issue. The cables provided offer about 15 feet from your source to the headset which was perfect for my 120” projector set up with the exception of the placement of the amp which I’ll talk about later.
I decided to test the amp and headphones on a AAA game I have been playing using two other sets of high end headphones. I will say they are by far the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever worn and didn’t need to be adjusted for head size like other brands. They also didn’t press too firmly on my ears causing discomfort, provided a lot of cushion and even felt cold while I was wearing them.
The comfort is not the best part of these headphones; the sound is amazing! I’ve been playing this same AAA game for months and, after using these headphones the first time, heard more detailed sound than I have ever heard in the past. I thought the use of the amp was underwhelming and did not notice the sound being much louder, if any at all, compared to plugging the audio cable straight into the controller. I also found it someone inconvenient to have to adjust the volume on either the amp, which was too far away with my set up, or on my smart phone's app; I personally prefer the audio adjustment on the headset or the controller.
My main issue, which isn’t held against Turtle Beach in this review, is third party manufacturers have to make separate headphones for each console because of their peripheral restrictions. It would be nice if every console manufacturer were on the same page so companies could produce one product that could be used for the PS4, Xbox, Switch, etc. Until then, you can still wire the headphones using the audio cable to your controller, audio out, etc.
All things considered, I still consider these the best headphones I have used for gaming because of the comfort and amazing sound. I would recommend these to anyone in the market for perhaps one of the best, if not the best, headphones on the market.

My son and I have used these pro performance audio system for a few games, and we love them. We play a lot on the XBOX and the PC, and the headset works with both.
The audio system comes with a removable mic that plugs to the headset (It's nice being able to remove the mic if it is not needed). Included is a long cable to connect the headset to the AMP (3.5mm) and a super long USB cable to connect to an Xbox or PC. Setup is fast and easy: plug the USB cable to the console/PX and the AMP, plug the 3.5mm cable to headset and AMP. Download the Turtle Beach app to change the AMP configurations. The functions available are: Play/Pause, skip/fast forward, skip back, rewind, answer/end call, reject an incoming call, activate voice recognition. The app manages the voice/chat volume and controls other functions such as the Superhuman Hearing. With the Superhuma Hearing set to on, it enhances a lot of sound in a game, for example, I can hear loud and clear when an enemy is approaching or loading a weapon during a game. This feature helps me have a competitive edge while gaming.
I enjoy using the super amp, especially when adjusting the volume during team gameplay. The entire audio is crisp, clear, and smaller noises, such as footsteps or snapping, can be heard easily. This sound quality makes the gaming experience much better. The mic does a great job at not picking up ambient noise (fans/ lawnmower/etc..). Other players can hear my voice loud and clear.
The entire gaming headset looks beautiful, and it matches the white finish of the console and the controller. It is lightweight and not bulky. The ear cups are easy to adjust from the headband to the desired size; I have a big head and fits well on me. The metallic headband makes this system more sturdy and underneath is a soft band for comfort. The thick, soft and breathable memory foam ear cups are incredibly comfortable which makes longer play possible. They are removable and replaceable if ever needed. I wear glasses, so I appreciate the ProsPecs comfort-driven design that removes pressure on glasses while playing. Other headsets would leave a mark on the side of my face from the frame of my glasses after prolong use.
So far I'm thrilled with this new headset, especially the comfort level and sound quality. Now with games that have a lot of sounds, I have a competitive advantage.

I have really enjoyed using this headset. There are a couple of main reasons why I think this head set is better than its predecessors. Design/Fit and sound control.
The design of this headset is comfy to say the least. When i had first unboxed this headset (which was impressive) I had initially though that it was not going to fit my head, I was wrong. The large speakers made the amount of adjusting needed, minimal. In other words, the spot that my ear went into had some wiggle room, which made it a nice fit. Fit aside, the sleek fit and snap on mic really makes this headset a win. Another cool feature is that it plugs into my console, not my controller, this may seem odd at first, but it reduces the tangled mess compared to my older headset. The only minor thin i was not a fan of was the app, the digital volume control is no needed in my opinion, but rather a nice to have.
Lastly, the sound is solid. It picks up three dimensional sound with ease and pumps out deep base and crisp treble. I've use other brand headphones in the past, and for my console, this has by far been the best.
All in all a great buy due to sound quality and impressive design.

The Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 gaming headset and Elite SuperAmp provide a great sound experience on the Xbox One console platform. The headset includes with a detachable cord as well as a detachable microphone. It is very comfortable through long play sessions even for those with large heads. The memory foam cushions are very spacious so most people's ears will not touch the drivers inside of the ear cups. Speaking of the earcups they can be adjusted to lay flat on your chest and are held in place by magnets so they are easily replaceable. The outer shell of each earcup also has a plate that can be replaced with other plates that have custom designs. Turtle Beach has also included an adjustable strap inside of the earcup that allows for more space around your ear if you wear glasses, this feature is amazing as it provides extra comfort for an under served demographic of headphone wearers that use glasses. The included SuperAmp was very easy to setup via the Turtle Beach app on my smartphone and gives you access to all of your headset settings, sound presets and led light controls on the amp itself. If you're a streamer or use an external device to capture your gameplay the SuperAmp has a 3.5mm line out on the back so you can capture your game and chat audio easily. The microphone was loud and clear and can bend to be near your mouth, the only feature I wish they added was an adjustable mic gain in the SuperAmp settings for those that are softer speakers. I'm very impressed with the sound features such as "Super Human Hearing" that allows you to easily hear footsteps and provides better directional sound when gaming and the Turtle Beach app even allows you to create your own presets so you can adjust the sound to your liking. The build quality and features of the headset and amp put this package at the top of the pack for me. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to reply.

Just to be upfront, I am not a Turtle Beach fan, I have owned $300 TB headsets in the past that felt cheap, sounded cheap, rattled when they were moved and were totally not worth the price (Earforce Delta's / PX5's). I currently own gen 1 Astro A50's (Xbox 360) and gen 3 A50's. I tested multiple wireless headsets before purchasing my gen 3 A50's as the best choice for me with living-room gaming on my Xbox One X. I've tested the Plantronics RIG 800LX SE's, Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum's, Turtle Beach Stealth 600's, Astro A20's and SteelSeries Arctis 3. Astro A50's beat them all in overall sound quality, bass, comfort and ease of use. So, I did not really expect much from these Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2's nor did I expect to like them or decide to keep them.
I have recently switched to a desktop gaming setup, so I am now able to consider wired headsets which is why I purchased these. I have to say the sound is really good, both in game and in general. The audio is really clear and the bass is decent. The build quality of these headsets is also really good, sturdy and comfortable. I also like the Blue-Tooth capabilities which allow me to listen to music streamed from my phone and to take phone calls while gaming which I know seems stupid but its actually pretty awesome. I also like the TB app and how you can tune the sound to your game-play on the fly.
Back to the bass, no, it is not quite as good as my gen 3 A50's or the gen1's but it is pretty close and better then most which works for me because I do not have to worry about battery life, charging or dealing with that stupid Astro charging dock trying get them to charge. The A50's are supposed to have a 16 hour battery life but it goes down as they age and cannot get through a full day without having to hook them up to a charger.
Overall, the TB Elite Pro 2's are a great headset for gaming if you have the ability to not worry about the wires. I am not sure that you can do any better with a wired set and I am pretty picky.

Ok... I had the Elite Atlas before this, but that headset causes echo in the party chat. So, I thought if I try a headset that is more expensive and with more "features," I thought I would be blown away and that the issue I had with the Elite Atlas would go away.
NOPE.
I didn't tell my group that I am using a different headset, and I was watching the party chat on the Xbox. I was quiet the whole time, and I could still see my profile light up when other people were talking. That shouldn't happen at all. I did the recommended setting and basically it's to turn down the volume, but if you do, it gets really quiet which, once again, shouldn't happen to a headset like this.
Volume is ok. Even with the updated firmware, the volume is still not as loud especially comparing to even just the Corsair HS60. One of the reviewers on YouTube, TechFox, mentioned that the headset is louder without the amp which I thought was ridiculous before I got the headset. But, as soon as I tried, he was right! Once again... ridiculous.
The amp is a joke! If it's supposed to make it loud, then it doesn't serve the purpose. The only control you have on there are the volume dial, and the bluetooth button. You HAVE TO use the mobile app to do mic monitoring, change the game/chat mixer, and turn the superhuman hearing on/off. RIDICULOUS! Those stuff should be on the amp. Why do you have to go to mobile app (which takes a while to load, btw) to adjust mic monitoring and game/chat mixer? Those should be on the amp. When you're playing, it would be easy to just have that accessible via the buttons on the amp and not have to access the mobile app. Which by the way, if you want to keep messing with the settings as you go, the phone needs to be on the whole time, so you have to make sure your phone is close by and has enough power. What??? I have the Turtle Beach Ear Force Headset Audio Controller plus, and I am able to adjust, change, and turn on and off settings I mentioned above. Convenience was not really well thought of when designing this product.
Also... BE CAREFUL about reading the POSITIVE reviews. You will notice that they are long, and well crafted as if done by professional and even looked like PAID. Compare it to the regular user like me, and you'll get a real review.
If you only have the need for adjusting the volume, and you don't play with other people who would be annoyed if you cause the party to echo, then yes, this headset is decent. It's more comfortable than the Elite Atlas for sure. However... I'm almost sure this headset was designed for various gaming needs.

You are able to chat listen to the game and listen to whatever plays from your phone via bluetooth. The max volume could be louder but overall it is loud enough. Its comfortable on your head with a detatchable mic. Since it is wired to the console directly it does not drain your battery.

So, now that I’ve spent a considerable amount of time with the Elite Pro2, I can now share some impressions. I have a lot of experience with headsets of all kinds, so hopefully, this will help people in considering (or not) these cans. First, I must say that the packaging was very nice albeit a bit over the top. It did add to the feeling of getting a premium product. The headphones themselves are very well constructed. They are made of plastic mostly, soft faux leather and a metal headband. The ear cushions are made of soft memory foam. The covers can be taken off and replaced. They feel good on the hands and on the head. They look like a gamer’s headset for sure. These come with the Elite SuperAmp (with LED lights), which I will talk about a bit later and mini USB and analog cables.
As far as comfort, I tried them on for more than 5 hours in one play session, and a few quick sessions with several breaks, where I took them on/off constantly. They feel very comfortable -even while wearing glasses (I did not have the need to adjust the cups). The cushions can get a bit hot, but not to the point where your pouring sweat from your sides. The headband feels light yet sturdy. These stay on and did not fall off easily -even while quickly looking up and down. The cords did bother me a bit, but I think this comes from bias from wearing wireless headsets most of the time nowadays. Speaking of the cables, it can get a bit strange to have the amp right in the middle as I pulled on it a couple of times. Because the cables are so long, this issue only came up when I played while standing (which I do quite often).
Now, let’s get to the most important aspect (in my opinion, of course), sound quality. I listen to them in several setups. I also downloaded the companion app from TB. By themselves on my phone, they sounded pretty good. Nothing to rave about as I usually use high-grade headsets with high-quality music, and these cannot compare. The bass sounds a bit fake and recessed, the middle can get a bit muddy and the highs are a bit too bright -even when messing around with the software. These are clearly not for that. Then, I tried them on my Switch and the experience was much better. This indicates that gaming may be where it’s at. Then, I tried them on the XBOX, using the chat communicator on the controller. Again, it was a decent experience. The mic worked well, and people heard me just fine. Next, I finally set them up as they were intended: with the amp, TB Audio Hub phone app, and Windows Sonic sound on the XBOX activated. This is when I kind of scratched my head a bit. The sound came in very tiny and distant. The surround sound was way off with some sounds fading completely away. Even when I cranked the volume on the amp as high as it would go, it did not impress me. The bass was flat and had no punch. I went to the forums and saw that a new firmware was released. I updated the headset (this is done through a PC setup). This helped quite a bit; mostly on the surround sound which now came in through the proper channels and directions. The bass was improved a bit as well. It was a bit punchier at the signature setting. I did not care much for the bass boost as it seems to overpower other sounds. However, the bass boost is great for movie watching. I still had to turn the volume all the way up for full immersion, which in a 50mm headset paired with a “SuperAmp” is not a good thing. The mic worked as intended. People heard me clearly, so I supposed the TruSpeak and Dynamic Chat Boost worked as intended. I did ask my teammates and they felt that there was no difference from using the regular communicator or the Elite Pro 2.
Overall, I think these headsets are very well constructed, very comfortable, and they deliver decent sound in the right setup. The SuperAmp on the other hand, was a bit underwhelming and thought it didn’t really bring anything new or revolutionary to the table -or even necessary. Again, I am used to wireless headsets but in sound quality, these are much better -if you don’t mind the long cables. In the end, the Elite Pro 2 still is a good purchase despite the price tag and the concerns. I just hope that they last longer than other TB cans I’ve used. I will certainly recommend checking these out.

Amazing headphones. I'm more of a Astro guy but I was blown away by these headphones. I got lucky and grabbed them a month ago when they threw it for $120. Saved $130 bucks so I suggest you guys wait on sales because they do it often but I can't guarantee you they will drop it that price again. Overall best turtle Beach headset I have used

Headset is very comfortable and I loved the Bluetooth audio. BUT the MAIN issue with this headset is the max volume is way too low when connected to the Mixamp. It gets significantly louder when it's only connected to the controller which makes no sense at all.
Last thing is that the mic picks up sound coming from inside the earcup which ended up being the deal breaker for me.
