Customers recognize the XG Gaming 27" IPS LED QHD GSync Monitor's IPS panel as a positive feature, although some users noted backlight bleed. If you're debating between this and a 4k monitor, I would go with this for playing fast paced action games especially FPS games. ULMB is also great for playing older style 2D games with virtually no motion blur similar to a CRT monitor. Though the brightness is a bit dark when ULMB is turned on. If you play more slower paced games like RPGs, you'll want a 4k monitor instead.

Great gaming monitor though expensive. Very high refresh rate.
Screen broke during extended warranty so I was able to return for full refund. Good thing I brought the extended warranty.

This is my second g sync monitor. First was a Dell S2417dg. Compared to the Dell the bezels are a lot bigger, I prefer the look of the Dell over this one. However, the IPS panel is a lot better. Colors look great. No need for a ICC profile with this monitor. It overclocked to 165hz no problem. I have pretty much no light bleed. Some IPS glow on the bottom right but in real world use and gaming its not a problem at all. No stuck or dead pixels. And the bigger size is a plus as well over the Dell.

I am coming from a older 120 hz 1080p monitor(TN Panel) and i bought the dell S2716dg but wasn't happy with the performance. This monitor is better in almost every way and couldn't be happier.
pros-
No dead pixels
minimal backlight bleed or IPS glow
great colors
bright even when calibrated (brightness at 40percent)
great contrast compared to TN panels
no noticeable ghosting
nice blacks
no color banding with smooth gradients
Cons-
light white uniformity issues(slight yellow tint in lower left)
Back light / IPS glow is more notice able if im not siting just right
Price
Overall im much happier spending 300 over the dell because i feel my money was well spent, the dell felt like a side step. Also you will notice critic review scores are lower than the competitors(asus and acer), if you actually read/listen to these, the monitor is equal in quality and cheaper. The score i think has to do with being newer and still using the AU Optronics panel which has its own issues.

Great monitor however I had noticeable BLB so I'll be planning to exchange it for a new one soon. This is a common problem with similar monitors unfortunately.

I just built a new gaming PC, that is pretty good(ryzen 5 1600 overclocked, gtx 1080). I was looking for a new monitor and was not sure if I would get a 2K gsync with high refresh rate or a 4k monitor. I decided to go with 2k and high refresh rate because the difference between 2k and 4k at this screen size is not significant, but the high frame rate is very noticeable. gsync is Amazing.
I love this monitor. I had bought a predator one, but returned due to horrible backlight bleed. All IPS monitor will have some bleed, that is expected, and this viewsonic I got has very mild bleed in one corner, only noticeable when the screen is completely dark while booting. highly recommended.
