    Worst Vizio TV I've Ever Bought

    I've been buying Vizio televisions for my home since 2007. This one has been the worst and probably the last TV I will ever purchase from Vizio. First of all, it comes with a TV remote that literally has only 3 buttons on it because they want us to use the remote that is on the Vizio app (which is run so poorly). Second of all, this TV is never connected to Chromecast, I literally have to set up my TV every time I want to use the Chromecast unlike my friends who use the Chrome stick all they have to do is press a button to link the Chromecast to their phone which takes 5 seconds. This TV is garbage, I got it replaced with a new one because Vizio said it was defected and its still giving me the same problem.

    I own two older Vizio models and figured well I'll just buy another one to put in our bedroom so I FAILED to do any research and now I regret it. This is the worst SMART TV I've had the displeasure of setting up then only to find that Netflix won't even CAST to the TV (but will to two other TV's around the house). The Set Up was pretty painful for a start, the remote is pretty much useless and then I'm forced to use my iPhone to do everything else. I'll be returning this TV immediately and guess I my brand loyalty towards Vizio has evaporated. Really disappointed by this experience, although the TV picture looks great. Unless you are a die hard Google Chrome user then avoid this TV.

    e48-d0. had the tv for a few years. just shut off a few mins ago and wont turn on. quick search shows it to be a common problem with half capable fixes.

    Tv seems to have a decent picture but it requires a smartphone or tablet to use most of the features. Granted I have a Windows phone but windows phones aren't supported so I can't use any of the features on this tv aside from basic tv. Guess I have to buy a fire stick or something so I can actually use this as a smart tv, Skip this one and buy anything else that actually includes a remote that allow you to use it's features.

    Purchased this Vizio beauty for Grandma's house. I had it installed and running in about 10 minutes. The Google Cast / App is a poorly implemented disaster. They would be far better off by including a real remote control and tossing a Google Chromecast in the box. After extensive messing around with the Vizio App on my iPhone, I finally got the TV linked to the internet. Unfortunately, Grandma doesn't have a smartphone. Not that big a deal because she doesn't use Netflix or stream anything anyways. The TV runs ok for one evening. We leave town the next day. We are about 200 miles out of town and Grandma called my cell phone. The new TV won't come on.... It is plugged in but it is completely dead. I'm 3 hours away trying to explain to my 77yr old Mother-in-Law how to diagnose and reset her brand new Vizio TV. The remote it comes with did work the first night. Now nothing. The buttons on the side of the screen are poorly marked and hard to find. We had to call in some friends and haul the now 48" boat anchor back to Best Buy for a refund and a different brand of TV.

    Forget about Netflix or Amazon Prime - doesn't support it. Has the worst remote system: super basic remote provided (on/off, volume, channel) and expects you to download a smartphone app to do anything else. Smartphone app has a 1.5 star rating on the Apple app store and doesn't work very well. I returned the TV.

    Remote is horrible. I attempted to use my smart phone as a remote but here's the deal you must download vizio smart cast, and then each app on your phone. This gets old amazingly fast. I would prefer an old-school dial to change the channel over this gimmick. Good options on this tv but I cant handle this remote. What a joke. I would suggest trying to use this rig before buying it and taking home wasting your time.

      Thanks for your feedback. We do include a basic remote with the display that allows for control of basic functions like power, volume control and input selection. If you're using a cable or satellite receiver you can still change the channel using your respect cable or satellite remote. The use of a smartphone is only required when accessing apps like Netflix, YouTube, Vudu and more.     We bought this TV and immediately returned it. The remote is basic, TV relies on an app for your smart phone or tablet for many functions. No Netflix option that we could find, even though we were told by BB salesman that it would be the first thing we saw. Very complicated to use. We hated it; bought a 50" Sharp TV that was a pleasure to set up.

    Office TV 7 months ago it had a loud pop when I turn it on an egg explode and it exploded from the inside call the Geek Squad told him said it was physical damage which was a lie contact Vizio showthen picture off to my phone they said the same thing there was no physical damage still have payments to do very disappointed both Vizio and Geek Squad persons were rude were very rude can afford a new TV at this time watching it with lines up and down and sideways all I wanted was a good product for the this product was a bad purchase I wish I would have spent extra money and got a Toshiba or LG the manager at Best Buy said Vizio is the most return product they have I wish I would have read the reviews but looking for a good deal my Westinghouse was a lot better it at least lasted 6 and a half years

    The remote is worthless and the APP you have to get to set the TV up is just as bad. So much for high tech, when if you cant use it.....no tech. Wasted my money and time buying this.

    This is not the TV you are looking for if you like watching a show completely through without the TV crashing every 5 minutes. There is a known problem but Vizio will not warranty and GeekSquad can't fix it...So you will end up stuck with a worthless TV and be unhappy like me. Google Chromecast Vizio to get the verification. Good luck.
