Got this TV from Best Buy. I'd been looking for 49"-50" 4K TV with HDR around $400. The new TCL 49S515 (49S517) and this Vizio came into consideration. The new TCL already had enough reviews (most of them were positive), but this Vizio had only a few reviews (the ones from Google search were mostly part of a contest, so I'd say it's a bit bias). I went to a local Best Buy to compare them in person, but neither one of them was on display. So picking up this Vizio was not based on the reviews on this TV itself, but based on the reviews on TCL. Even though reviews on TCL were mostly good, but many of the reviews said negative things about the HDR and/or Dolby Vision bad performance. And the lack of component port on TCL made me take a chance on Vizio. I needed 4 HDMI for my devices (STB, Chromecast, Apple TV, 4k player, and X Box). Since neither of these TVs has 4 HDMI, I made a compromise with 3 HDMI and 1 component. Vizio already has Chromecast built in, so the 3 HDMI are for Apple TV, 4K player, and X Box. STB uses the component port (I believe STB doesn't have 4K content, so component is good enough). The picture quality is good (but deteriorates at angle; I believe it's common on VA panel). HDR and Dolby Vision works fine. Setting up was easy. Sound is not bad. Remote control is good. Built quality / design is ok (nothing's special). Chromecast works fine. However casting 4K YouTube video from a smartphone or a tablet through Wi-Fi won't give me a 4K video. And there's no option to change the video quality to get 4K. The YouTube app on TV itself does give me 4K for 4K video. In order to get 4K quality from casting YouTube 4K video, I need to connect the YouTube app on my phone or tablet to the TV's YouTube app by linking them based on TV code instead of Wi-Fi. And I need to open the Youtube app on the TV before casting a YouTube video (not on Smartcast home itself). Why casting instead of using TV app? To me it's easier to do video search on my phone or tablet than to do it on TV app. I wish that there was a way to add an app (apps are limited; not a problem if you have a dedicated streaming device). Smartcast is not so snappy. Input source could be better. Sometimes it gives me a black screen (I hear the sound, but no picture). Turning the TV off and on again fix the problem. Power savingmode is the default and it makes turning TV on/off a bit of pain. It can be changed in setting though. So far so good for me. Hopefully nothing will come as a bad surprise in the near future.

And it works. Set it in portrait and put a frame around it. The colors are awesome, the contrast is great. The viewing angle is not. But, I guess I was kinda expecting it. Great value.

Bought this TV after movers damaged the screen on a previous Vizio TV. This TV has great 4K quality image. Great features and apps.

This was our first smart tv purchase and we have been very happy with the quality and how easy it is to use!

I bought this tv on sale for around 400 out the door. It does what its advertised to do. picture quality is good. I connect to a nearby free xfinity wifi hotspot for all of my devices. However, this tv does not/will not connect to a "public" wifi signal. So rather than using the tv's netflix and features. I use my ps4 for all entertainment needs because it connects to the wifi. All in all, its a decent tv for the price.

After owning this Vizio for one year I started getting flickers on pixels that would go away over time then would come back. It was noticeable enough to make me feel like the screen was going out. On some apps I will watch a show or video and there would be horizontal thin lines flicker on the screen. Again, it was noticeable and frustrating since it was an extremely random occurrence. I will frequently get kicked out of apps like YouTube and Hulu to the SmartScreen in the middle of a video/show. I have only used Vizio TV’s in my house for the past 8 years and this particular model is the only one to give me this many problems. However, over the past few months the screen artifacts have stopped while the other issues remain. At this point there are better products at cheaper or equal prices.

A great television for the price The quality of the picture is amazing. The only complaint I have is you definitely need a sound bar with it. The sound is so faint you have to turn it way up just hear a normal program.

So far this tv has been really great. The picture is very nice. I am happy with this purchase. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's a bit too to technology advanced for me. I still have a lot to learn about this tv.

This is a good tv for my bedroom. It replaced a Sony 42 in. The picture is good but I do notice from the side it is a little hazy. It is right for the price.

Good tv! Good picture, good sound. It’s not very slim, probably 4 inches off of wall with flush wall mount but other then that. It is what I expected

I was looking for a good TV to replace one that went out after 10 years.. This little number is nice in my bedroom. Good for its price point.

I have had this TV for about a month now and it has been a pretty nice TV. The one thing that bugs me is the lighting. Whenever there is a black screen with the loading symbol, you can see the local dimming zones shutting off around the symbol. The other thing is the picture modes. Out of the box the standard mode that the TV is set to sucks. I have a really dark room with very little natural light and I still struggled to see the picture clearly. That issue was fixed when I changed the picture to dynamic.

Tv picture quality is great but sometimes sound output can be buggy. especially with ARC

Definitely an upgrade from previous washer and dryer. Excited to have so many features to use to wash and dry clothes.

Bought for basement and this TV is good for the money we spent on it!

Very nice tv and has a lot of apps but does not have internet

Really like this TV but wish it had an internet browser.

I don't think there is a better tv for the same $.

The TV is working great, Just have an issue with the contrast where darker scenes are a bit too dark and almost turn purple. Have to work through the settings a bit to get it just right.

I really like it so far. I've had it for approximately a month and havent had any problems. I had an old vizio that would freezen frequently and this hasn't done that. Knock on wood.
