Some one needs to update PS4 software so you can have 2 of these plugged in and working at the same time the new Xbox will do this but don't have one . Works great just one at a time . I don't want to have to switch back and forth.

I've been using Western Digital hard drives for the past couple of decades, and I have had no issues with them. I do try and replace hard drives at least every 5 years and keep multiple backups (hard drives) in case one of them crashes (but it's never happened).

I purchased this drive to give me plenty of drive space to backup four PC's using Goodsync backup software using one PC as the server. When starting up it does make a little noise but this is not a deterrent. Otherwise it is fast and has worked perfectly so far.

Bought this HDD for more space on Xbox one. Super easy setup plugged it in answered a prompts and voila. Aside from a ton of space it runs games better than my old Xbox one does. Games like PUBG or Apex run smoother and faster

I am in the graphics industry dealing with large files. I have and always will be a fan of Western Digital. Their drives have served me well over the years and I currently use 5 of them. This drive is quick, small for its huge capacity and looks great too.

This is used as extra storage for archived video files. It joins a few other WD drives to augment a laptop and desktop. It sits comfortably on the desk, but can be dropped into a bag to be used at sites if required.

I have owned and used one of these for awhile on my XBox One X and it worked great. I eventually purchased a second for a PS4 Pro and it works every bit as good on that. A great value for the price.

Being a photographer I needed more space for storage due to the large size of RAW files. This 8TB drive has been great so far. It hasn’t given me any issues and hasn’t run hot either. I wish I could take advantage of the 3.0 speeds but my older MAC only supports 2.0 but that’s a me problem.

I got a great deal on this hard drive. I bought it because I ran out space. It has held up very well and i now try to only by WD hard drives because every Seagate drive I seem to buy seems to fail.

I'm not sure whether the lag I get is from the Tablo DVR that stores data on this drive, or from the drive itself. Every now and then it buffers when playing shows I have recorded. Other than that, it's an insane amount of storage which pleases me greatly. :)

I use several hard drives for work and personal projects. The My Book 8 TB is great and holds plenty of video projects of mine. I was surprised as to how much I have put on it and there is still plenty of room for much more.

I was experiencing really slow computer action and was afraid I'd lose the 900 gigabytes on my iMac. All that storage was what was slowing it down. I got the MyBook, backed it all up and had Geek Squad wipe my hard drive clean as a whistle and now my iMac is like brand new.

Worked perfectly. Great External HD's, I own several for our company backups. Cant beat that BestBuy price matches as well - thanks!

Only bad thing usb that if it get tilt for some reason stops working and it takes time to start up again

I was debating between USB3 and NAS disks to replace a sketchy USB drive. I chose the USB3 due to the advertised transfer rate (5GB/s). The highest I've ever seen (copying from SSD over USB3) has been 79MB/s. Nonetheless, the 8GB capacity is great and the slower transfer rate has not proven to be a problem.

Great hard drive with high speed read and write. As long as it's not placed right next to the laptop, the noise is acceptable. I connected it with my NAS system, as an extended hard drive, and it works great.

I plugged it in, attached it to my laptop, and Macintoshe's Time Machine then backed up everything on my laptop. And Time Machine does it regularly whenever I attach My Book External USB 3.0 Hard Drive to my laptop. I am happy.

Everyone has their brand they love and everyone has the brand they hate. This is especially true with computer people and hard drives. For me these WD Mybooks have been rock solid. I own a dozen of them and use them at work and home. Never had a problem with any of them.

The speed and size of this hard drive are great but when it's constantly plugged in, it frequently creates a loud-ish humming noise, causes my computer desk to vibrate and sometimes makes a clicking sound that actually rattles the desk.

Fits my needs. I was able to transfer files from my computer to the hard drive easily.
