I got this hard drive because I needed more storage space. I'm very happy. It works great, and now I can consolidate all my stuff onto it from all my externals.

Have had the best luck with the WD 8TB drive. I store a lot of music in MP3 format and can move between Windows & Mac machines easily.

Needing space to backup photo and video files that can be safely stored off site this unit does it all for me. It is the second 8 TB unit I have purchased. Plug it in and go.

I photograph weddings and this has been a great back up for my files. I only use WD products (so much better than the seagate crap)

Just what i was looking for. Using this for my PS5, it works great. Transferred all my PS4 games to this device. Also putting my PS5 games on it to switch from ps5 to device when wanting to play games because there is not alot of space right now on the PS5. I was already using a WD Passport 4tb for my PS4 and it worked really good. So for me it was a no brainer. If you want a dependable, quiet, and very efficient external HDD, WD is the way to go, nothing else matters.

Just got a PS4 PRO and needed some storage for the huge holiday sales on top of the content I already had. Was the exact space I needed. Should last a while.

Reliable and a great way to make a backup of anything you have. We use for FCP libraries and have always been good for us.

I've used the drive with both Windows 10 and MacOS 10.14. Takes advantage fo USB 3 port speeds but is backward compatible with earlier versions, too.

It was easy to use and stored a ton of pictures. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is needed a lot of storage.

Very happy with this drive. It was easy to setup and use. Plug and play. I personally am using it for backing up my computer. Great bang for the buck.

Have not shucked the drive yet, plan to soon. It verified fine when checking the drive and the price was right for 8TB.

I own many external hard drives and up grade as sizes increase. I own three 8 gig external and this version seems to not heat up and works very quickly. I like the new style.

I added this drive to my system to store family photos and videos. It is providing the space I needed and makes files easily and quickly accessible for my entire family.

Plenty of space for working with Adobe Photos. Was able to transfer from older External Drive to this one with ease.

This is a very nice hard drive. fast / very large plenty of room highly recommended

Good solid drive, but speeds are fairly slow. Also makes a lot of noise. Would use this for casual use but nothing professionally.
