    Easily reformatted to use Time Machine with the Macbook. USB 3.0 works through my hub which is fairly low power, no need to plug it directly to the computer.

    The WD passport 2tb hard drive works great. Needed to create Windows 10 back up to covert two hard drives from MBR to gtp format for windows 11.

    I will be using this to store "annual" backups (of photos and documents) to put in my safety deposit box. Good throughput, even from an older (USB 2) computer.

    Great read and write speeds, and a quick setup process on mac or windows. WD encryption software can be a little weird to get used to, but when you do it works well and is hassle free.
