This is a great storage device. Great for backing up photos, files and music. Quickly retrieves data without any latency. Also, doesn't get hot like some external drives.

I originally ordered (accidentally) two (2) of these Passports. On the day of pickup, I returned one and was told that my account would be refunded, I never got a receipt for the FIRST transaction but was told my account would be credited. Today, I returned the second MyPassport, and received a receipt via e-mail today. Thank you. But what happened with the first? I was told my account would be refunded but so far, no action.

The passport hard drive worked great. I would recommend this product.

Replacing a worn out HDD, first time I've used this brand. Works great

WD Backup has passed it's end of life cycle regarding software updates. The application won't even open, thus I cannot use WD Software to schedule backups. I opened a support ticket with WD, who guided me to using Windows File History to manually backup this hard drive. Fine, I did this, and had one successful backup. I scheduled File History to backup every hour, but it has not successfully backed up since the initial manual backup. I've tried doing additional manual backups, and they are not successful. I've plugged the HD directly into USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports in both my I/O and into the case USB ports, with no success. Under no reason should a product be sold if the software is past its end of life, and File History, which is rumored to be defunct in the not-too-distant future, should have to be used. The product itself seems to be of great quality, but no software suite to compliment it completely invalidates this product.
