Great product up until it began ejecting itself on its own. Reached out to Manufacturer and they explained it was just a defected device and they would replace it, however they make you wait and you get a new one 5-7 days after they receive the first device you return. I’ve owned this product for less than 1 year.

This is very handy. It is slow on older computers which is expected but overall I like it.

The unit works good as a disc drive. I installed the WD backup software on my new HP laptop windows 11 and it corrupted the Photos App. It didn't damage any photos but the app cannot find the path to the photos now. NOT HAPPY

Does the job, could be a bit user friendlier. Does not work on an iMac.

After formatting the drive for Mac, it has performed very well using Time Machine automatic backups.

This was the perfect solution to backing up my desktop prior to switching everything to my new laptop.

I'll begin by clearly stating that there is nothing fundamentally *wrong* with this hard drive. In fact, it's perfectly functional for just about anything you might want to use it for. It's also reasonably priced when compared to its competitors. All that being said it will never stand up to the read/write speeds of an SSD.

This product came with no instructions and when I plugged it in, it was difficult to figure out. I'm going to have to get someone to help me or google a youtube video on how to use it. It's not as user friendly as I had hoped. I guess I'm not as computer saavy as I thought! If you're buying it, you'll probably be fine. It's probably just me.

Fast transfers! I needed to back up year's worth of work and was able to do it very quick with this.

It meet the purpose. Feel plasticky outer layer. Overall good.

Love the amount of storage and the fact that it is SSD. Great alternate to the cloud. Use it often for backups

Once again the WD software was a challenge. Would not identify the drive in the software although Windows can see the drive and I can store data on it.
