Love solid state *********************************

They said it would be easy to do but it is not when you don't have much experience with this stuff. I am going to have to call the Geek Squad again.

I use this to back up all my media---photos, work, etc. Nice slim design.

The low rating is for the way Best Buy treated me. I bought this drive in the store in exchange for one I had ordered by mistake on the website. I had erroneously bought a drive for a Mac and I have Windows 11. The exchange was handled fine and I walked out with a drive in a box that said it was for Windows. When I tried to install it, the computer couldn't recognize it. I took it back and had a Geek Squad tech try it. He said it was defective and should take it to Customer Service. The person there discovered that it was another drive for a Mac. The previous person at Customer Service had just scanned the bar code on the box, not looked at what was on the drive. After a discussion with a supervisor, he came back and told me that what I was trying to return wasn't the same drive I had received about a week earlier and they wouldn't take it back. The implication was that I was trying to pull a fast one and they wouldn't allow it. The fact that I got that drive out of a box with a Windows drive serial number on the box isn't my fault and Best Buy refuses to live up to their responsibilities even though I have been a Best Buy Total member for years.

I’m brand loyal with WD hard drives. I have them for all of my Macs and PCs. Always very reliable.

Was able to figure it out but it was a little difficult to use with a MacBook

Gets the work done in a good way. Design is sleek and light as well

I normally like the quality of Western Digital however with this one the cable and plug to the Hard Drive wasn't very well designed so I can't indicate if it was just the one I purchased or will be all of them. I don't think much thought went into this but when its less expensive there is a reason why.

Need to transfer data from one computer to another...so far, so good!

Seems to work fine but not user friendly. Did not have step by step instructions. I had to contact the Best Buy Geek Squad to get it to work, but even then was not on the right track so ended up bringing it back to the store to get it to back up the info I wanted.

The ports are very sensitive. But overall great quality!

It doesn't come with instructions! And, requires an expert to use it.

good device. A bit on the pricy side but gets the job done.

No instructions, but fairly self-explanatory. Am figuring it out, anyway.
