Purchased as a backup drive for work. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Unreliable is the best description.

I bought this My Passport drive to transfer my financial data from one PC to another. Worked fine the first 2 times. A few weeks after purchase I went to add more data and the drive had failed. It's making a clicking noise, and now there's a warning message that Windows doesn't recognize it.
BB states that it is out of the return time period, Plus I wouldn't return the drive anyway with all my inaccessible personal finance data on it.
Disappointed. $80 down the drain.

Couldn't get through the setup. WD website locked out the device and provided no method to reset. Had to return item for credit and buy another vendor's solution.

Purchased two of these. I put my steam games on them so I could transfer the game from my main computer and my laptop. With in a week, I lost my entire library of games and my saved game data.

even when I follow the proper steps to disconnect it from my ps4 it keeps saying you need to repair extended storage then it would say you have to format this again and everything you downloaded has to be deleted It literally only works once at a time never again I wish I can return this but I didn’t start using this till a month later that’s my fault for not trying it out though

This portable drive failed after 60 days of light use. I've tried using the Warranty process for WD before and it's not worth the hassle/time/cost to get a new crappy old tech portable drive. This is my last non-SSD hard drive. I've learned my lesson after three failures in the past 1-1/2 years with platter-type drives.

Title pretty much says it all. First time having bad luck with a portable HD of any sort; two different computers wouldn't recognize it and going into the Control Panel it was described as unrecognized and corrupted...so, back to the store it went. Hoping to have better luck later on.

I have bought 2 of these in the last year. They seem to randomly stop working after a while. Never dropped or banged around, just stopped working for seemingly no reason. I had a friend say his did the same thing. For the price im sure there is a much more reliable product from another company.

This broke the first time I used it. I tried to get ahold of WD to replace it with no luck.

Best Buy Tech told me Passport 2 TB was plug and play for PC and Mac. It's not. It's only plug and play for PC. You have to download drivers for Mac which didn't work and would not transfer files or pictures. Returned it. Got a Seagate from another source and it works great right out of the box.
