Not reliable. Lost all my information. Worked well first but not functional anymore within a few months

Great price, great value, great product from a great company

It is not for lack of trying...I spent a whole week trying to backup my Dropbox files on the WD Passport but it never fully work. It would start the process with a few random files but then it stopped. I tried reformating the drive several times, I uninstalled the software and and reinstalled the software, I even called customer service who was not much help, nothing worked. That's too bad I was really looking forward to keeping this little guy...I see a lot of 5 stars reviews online, good for them...maybe the issue is with Dropbox specifically, I don't know.

Terrible. It broke in the first year. Small, but not durable, Files were not able to be accessed in the first year. So disappointed.

The only bad thing is that one time the it was disconnected wrong it stopped working.

Good value for the money. I would buy again. Well worth it.

Perfect product, it is my second purchase of WD HArd drive

I bought this for backing up photos for a trip we took that was 3 weeks long. Unfortunately it does not work my laptop does not see it at all it is attached but cannot be used on my Windows laptop. As the warranty to return was 30 days it just sits

I told the Best Buy salesperson we have a Mac. Said this would work to make backups. It did not. Make sure to get the my Passport for Mac. That one works with a Mac very well.

I was told this would back my files up to the Passport and to the cloud. It does not back up to the cloud I found out when I called in. It did back up the files I wanted manually but it won't do the automatic back up like it is supposed to. I will have to call in to WD again. I did have another WD product and was not satisfied with that either. This will be the last one.

Broke after a couple of months of use, before then it was working perfect. A slight increase of pressure on it destroyed it from working. Wouldn't really recommend.

The drive for the first day when I add some files to it then after adding a password using WD utilities it just display message parameter invalid when I tried to open it. I should have returned it but I thought it was not a big deal and once I format the drive this message would stop and I could use the drive, but it did not and now I am after the allowed return period.

This is a terrible product. It presents itself as simple, plug and play. However there’s software that it asks you to install that creates all kinds of additional complexity. I promptly returned this and got another one which works much better.

Was easy to set up and use, but after a month it stopped working. I called WD tech support and they said they were sorry but it's dead. I also lost all my data on this thing.

This thing was horrible. I bought it and the same day I uploaded all my pictures from an old trip to puerto Vallarta and then the hard drive malfunction and I lost everything. The guy at geek squad told me sometimes they malfunction and that they could try to salvage my pictures for a few hundred dollars I was like no way jose and got a refund for that crap.

The drive worked great for a bit. Unfortunately it has only lasted for a little over 5 months and has failed. Going through the replacement process with it now.

You need to download WDs glitchy software in order to use the drive. Such a terrible product.

No password protection software like older WD Passports. Not secure. I wouldn't have bought it, if I had know that.

The Passport did not work with Windows 7, I wanted it to back up my files before switching to Windows 10. Hopefully it will work better with Windows 10.
