I had a lot of difficult using this external drive with my Mac. First it wouldn't format. Actually had to go back to the store and the applecare advisor had to do it. He did the same steps we did at home but would not work on my home mac. Then it worked fine for a short time and all of a sudden I could not see the drive anymore after all of my data was already on there. After a while it came back again; again for a short time. Right now again it is not recognized by my Mac. . .would not purchase again.

Unfotunately the transfer cable that came with it did not work, usb end seem to be too large. once i ordered another cable then it worked correctly

Poor quality, it did not make it a month. Crashed and no recovery. It wasted all my time in backing-up my files, and I thought I was safe. Not reliable. I cannot recommend buying this.

Bought on 5-9-21, ceased to function on 6-4-21. I've owned it for less than a month and it has stopped working. It's loaded with many hundreds of photos that I can no longer access. Trouble shooting the device has proven to be futile. I will be taking it back to the store tomorrow but still I'm unable to retrieve my data from it. Piece of trash!

I never right reviews but in this case it is necessary people know. If you want to archive files on this device. Erase it from your current device. & then this driver to break & all your stuff deletes. Go ahead a buy it.

I bought this product thinking it was gonna be a great resource to save my extra files on…. I was wrong it randomly stopped working after not even 3 full months. Now I’m in the process of data recovery and having to buy the hard drive I originally wanted but was out of stock in my store at the time of purchase!

Bought to use with a Mac. Made sure to format it for the Mac and a few months later it stopped working with what Mac. It’s corrupted.

Cheap and horrible product. I am so upset that I wasted my money on this product. Didn't stay connected to my PS4, which constantly had to repair it. I tried to wipe it on my PC and it is telling me it's a bad disk. Do Not waste your money on this. Buy a different brand and spend a little more money.

Absolutely a waste of time. Is it Apple though? Or the absurdity of these companies scamming you into buying their products at already sky high prices and then slamming you with MORE charges to even use the darn product? Needed this hard drive in a pinch. Couldn’t use this HD after jumping through their hoop of purchasing the driver for the updated Mac software because then it wasn’t even compatible. Unreal.

I lost a lot of work with this hard drive. I loved the size but unfortunately I couldn't save it.

I will only give this a negative review because I bought it for my playstation 4. Horrible. Wasted hours and weeks of my life downloading games and for it all to be wiped clean the moment I started to play one. I bought this item twice and the same thing happened again. Please don't buy this for your gaming consoles.

Stopped working in 1 month Makes weird sound and doesn't not show. I don't think it is fixable, i will try to return it to bestbuy or manufacturer I think external ssd or internal ssd with external adapter is the way to go, i dobt recommended buying mechanical hard drive anymore even if cheap.

Not much of a fan. When I wanted to remove from device ...it won't leave.

I was told this would be easy. Wrong. I opened the package and the print on the information sheet was so tiny I could barely read it with a 10X magnifying glass. I called the company and spoke to someone who said you don't need instructions, it starts right up and tells you what to do. Wrong. So far I have accomplished nothing and will be looking for something that actually works.

Item stopped working after a month,stay away if you plan on using for anything else other than file mangement.

Most Frustrating device I ever purchased. There are no instructions for operation. The Manual is on line but provides no insight in operation. It seems to be intended for 24/7 usage i.e. not for the occasional backups. Retrieval of files is impossible. Files downloaded for saving are in mystical format that is not what you need. For my purpose, Seagate is a better option.

Every time I create files on one computer and save them on my Passport, upon connecting it to a different computer to access the files there are corrupt records. I purchased the drive on July 31st 2020, so it is only a little over three months old and is transported in a padded bag, the first month and a half I had no issues but now it's an everyday occurrence. I Do Not Recommend!

Couldn’t get it configured correctly with my Mac. I could not access anything, so I had to exchange it for another one.
