Bought a brand new unit and it was defective right out of the box. First thing I did after I opened the item was plugged it straight into my PS4, and it said it was unable to format the device because there was corrupted data on it. How?

During product registration, I received a notice that Western Digital will no long offer support.

Missing an instillation guide and is no longer supported by Western Digital. Unable to activate — what a waste of money! Too bad I waited so long to install it. Lost my money on something that won’t work.

Bought this for additional storage and did not need it until today. It doesn't work, and I missed the return window. Thought I could rely on WD products...

Have no idea if component works. Geek Squad made me purchase an external drive and then informed were not capable of repairing laptop...which was purchased at BB. Recommend I go somewhere else. Not a problem!!!

no instructions...tries to call my local store and only got over seas people.

The first one didn't work so I exchanged it. the 2nd didn't work either. Neither had any instructions. I asked a guy to come out and finally was able to get it to operate but he charged ~$100. What a bummer!

Got this for my sons computer. It started out great then it crashed, wont do anything. We did get it back up and running but everything was erased . Going to return it and try another brand.

Thought I could back up my data but after 10 months it's clicking and hanging up. Won't be long until it completely quits! Western Digital used to be a good name but those days are over.

Mine broke because of keep moving around, and as always is not under warranty when this happens. Lost a lot of file and picture.

I would give it negative stars if possible. It's so bad that I'll never buy another Western Digital product ever again.

Despite being 2tb this device does not work with my XP desktop. It is not usable.

This thing is garbage. Mine was slow from the start. Once I added files to it, it quit working. Buyers beware!

It wants to DELETE the items on my computer BEFORE it will save my documents and photos. NO THANKS!

It’s extremely fragile. Lost everything... i would not purchase this if you don’t want to lose all your work. Also I had nothing but issues transferring large files.

I've only had this for 2 month and it's already unfixable and undetectable by my PS4. Don't by this. Buy another brand

Since I used this it has corrupted every game I own on the PS4 and on the hard drive

They called to say the computer was ready for pickup. We made an appointment and we drove 60 miles to be told it wasn't ready! We went back home and don't have it!

The very first time we plugged it in, it made horrible noises and wouldn't work. (apparently this is a known problem) We returned it for a refund.
