Works very well, but took some time to get it working with the password protected lock feature. Software included with the drive failed an update, and had to get the locking software from another WD external drive (probably could have found it online at WD site).

This little passport does the job. I have had many external hard disks and I have had really good experiences with these small compact units. For some reason I have no issues with USB powered drives. I use it to store data as a secondary backup and carry with me when I travel.

I puchased this hard drive partly to use as a back-up drive for a PS4 system. After reformatting it to a supported file system (EXFAT), it worked flawlessly for this purpose. I will probably keep it as EXFAT for future back-ups, but I will also use it as a back-up back-up drive for my laptop.

This was purchased during a pretty good sale, though I think there are even better deals now than when I purchased this. I like the brand. It has done well for me over the years. Format it correctly before using it, though- very important! I like the small size, too.

The WD Passport 2TB performs as stated. There have been no issues with it so far. Its main function for me was to store backup images of 2 windows machines in the event of a hardware failure or system corruption/virus/ransomware occurrence.

I absolutely LOVE Easystore hard drives – all sizes and types (portable vs "sit on desk" version). Never had a drive fail, but Best Buy's replacement plan is a must for hard drives. Would highly recommend. Keep an eye on price – sales are amazing but last only a very short period of time.

I have about 4 of these WD Passport drives and have never had an issue with any of them. I have used Passports for many many years and have had no reason to switch to another brand.

Needed in a hurry & it was in stock in this color - I ordered & picked up in an hour! Thanks BB!! My I.T. professional was able to remote in to my Mac and back up my hard drive the next day & since he did a portion there is still lots of room for future back ups. It is so small, very nice!!

Bought this to back up an entire computer's worth of data - about 450 GB. The transfer started reading it would take 30 minutes and then quickly ramped down and overall only took five minutes. Super fast for a device that cost over $100. And plenty of room left over for future backups.

This is my 3rd WD Passport. I still use all of them. I have had the one for over 6 years and it's still going. I feel confident in using them to back up or save my data to.

This item came in handy for me due to my desk top was acting up, so I bought it to back up all my fills

good external usb, big capacity, low price, multi color to choose

Holds a lot of storage was a good price I think for over a terabyte but kind of difficult to navigate using and backing things up. I bought it to back both of my iPhone up to it so I can delete things off of my phones and I have storage still in my phones in iCloud but I have had a lot of trouble doing so apparently you need a computer with enough space and I do not have one so I haven’t been able to back anything up yet it is very frustrating so if anybody has any advice or knows how to help without charging over $200 for one phone I would love to learn how to get that done so I can trade my home phone in. Because of this I was unable to back my phones up and do the trade and I lost out on a lot of money off of my bill which has a single mom whose son just passed away is a little stressful but we need communication with the outside world and the Internet because we do not have a computer. I will probably have to end up buying a new or used one just so I can back up my phone and pictures before the storage is full and I am almost there already.

This came through in a clutch! It hasn't given me any issues, and I highly encourage everyone to invest in a portable hard drive.
