    It saves data for me. It is red which makes it a higher quality product, which is why it costs more than the blue one but not as much as the black one. But I suppose the color makes it faster at storing data. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    One thing I was surprised at was the smaller size, doesn't take up much room. And it was pretty fast dowloading 1tb of info. Highly recommend

    WD makes a very good product. I purchased this Passport 2TB Portable Hard Drive for my Grandson, whom is starting College this year. I told him it is probably more memory than he will need for the rest of his life, but time will tell. I purchased this model because it could be password protected, in case he want to do that.

    The passport is one of the best way to store files. I also have many movies on them, as commercials are not on the movie.
