Great portable Hard drive!

Perfect for Time Machine

I use this for Time Machine backup on my M1 Macbook Pro which I have configured for desktop use most of the time. It is connected to my laptop via a dock and it has been very effective in running the Time Machine backups. Fortunately I have not had to recover a file from it but I regularly check on Time Machine and it is consistently handling the regular backups.

My Passport forever more!

WD My Passport for Mac 4TB

This WD - My Passport for Mac 4TB External USB Portable Hard Drive is not as small as my normal “go-to” the WD - My Passport SSD, but in all other aspects its the same. Also, there is an alternative Ultra that’s available, but I really didn’t find that much of a difference in speed-transfer, so I opted for the non-ultra & saved a few dollars. In summary, it’s an excellent buy & even better if purchased while on-sale.
