This is a drive I never really think about but it is constantly doing it's job for me. I use this for Time Machine backup on my M1 Macbook Pro which I have configured for desktop use most of the time. It is connected to my laptop via a dock and it has been very effective in running the Time Machine backups. Fortunately I have not had to recover a file from it but I regularly check on Time Machine and it is consistently handling the regular backups.

No issues. User friendly. Easy to transfer. Would buy again if needed

We recently stopped by the Aiea Best Buy and purchased WD My Passport and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of setup and small footprint. It was much smaller than my previous version. Aloha!

WD is the only brand I will buy or even recommend. This WD - My Passport for Mac 4TB External USB Portable Hard Drive is not as small as my normal “go-to” the WD - My Passport SSD, but in all other aspects its the same. Also, there is an alternative Ultra that’s available, but I really didn’t find that much of a difference in speed-transfer, so I opted for the non-ultra & saved a few dollars. In summary, it’s an excellent buy & even better if purchased while on-sale.

Works great and the transfer rate is relatively fast. I would recommend to others as a storage device.

Plenty of Storage! Convenient and portable. I never have to worry that I will loose photos or videos when I transfer them onto my Passport

Set up for my Mac was so easy and was able to successfully back up my 3T of data is just about an hour

This External Hard Drive works perfectly and feels very strong. This doesn’t feel flimsy or delicate like other HD. The speed is at expected.

Easy to use on imacs. Failure rate is low . Speed is fine for time machine .

So far so good. Works fine with my Mac. I didn’t realize that I HAD to get the one specifically for the Mac so that it would be a plug and play. A cautionary tale. This was has worked fine.

Works great with MacBook Pro M1 and I am able workout of the drive on many applications.

I've used this drive with Chronosync on my Mac to backup all my Lightroom files. So far, I've had no issues, and none of my WD drives have failed so far from 2016 and onward. It could be because I have so many drives, and I do monthly backups for some drives and weekly for others. So far so good. Eventually I expect them to fail, and I just started SSD for my PS5, so hopefully this lasts me a while as well.

For Macintosh computers. Good price for the this size unit. Small and perfect for time machine backup
