Excellent capacity and storage. Easy to set up. Light weight, but very strong build. Not as fast as expected on USB 3.0 when backing up docs. Very good overall.

I needed to buy an external hard drive in a hurry, but I had heard that they were so expensive. This drive was very reasonable, and with 2T, I was able to store all of the files in my old computer with lots of room left over. It was extremely easy to use. I'll be buying another just so I'll always have a great back up!

This is my second WD external drive. The first one is still going after five years. This one is exclusively for business files which the WD Backup software effortlessly transfers each night. The silver-ridged section makes it easy to quickly identify by sight or feel (in the bottom of the gig bag).

This Passport external hard drive is thin and small enough to carry around, yet it can pack a lot of files so that I can eliminate having several smaller capacity flash drives. I actually bought two of these so I could use one as a back up drive while I use the other as a main drive.

I am part time IT and have many friends who are full time IT and we all agree that Western Digital makes storage that is much more reliable than other mainstream competitors. I am brand loyal to them because I have heard of horror stories with other major brands crashing and data loss resulting. Nicely designed external appearance as well. I currently use this one to back up my family’s computer, IPhone files, and work.

The memory is easy to use and has great space for backups of computers or just storying extra information. If you are using it for a MAC computer, just make sure to make the corresponding adaptions for the memory to work correctly.

Love the security feature, I don't have to worry about someone trying to access the files. Looks sleek and light as well.

It would get five stars but for the fact it does not seem to write as quickly as some of my other drives. Have had this drive in daily use though for 6 months with no issue

I use this with my Tablo to hold all my DVR recordings. With 1 tb I can record hours upon hours and watch whenever I want. Say bye bye to high cable bills because streaming is taking over!

Time and time again I lost important moments due to a computer or phone failure. This has allowed me to take almost 6,000 photos off my phone and more off my laptop. Love it!!!!

I use this 2 TB external hard drive to keep all my DVR recordings on for my new Tablo. No more cable bills except for High Speed Internet, wish I would've done this sooner.

Needed a backup drive for my laptop. I usually buy Seagate drives, but decided to go with this one since it was on sale I think. Not bad, easy setup, light, easy to throw in backpack and go. Backup speeds are decent.

This hard drive will hold a ton of pictures and videos. Was used to backup my entire picture library and was more than adequate.
