I purchased My Passport Ultra Blue portable external hard drive recently and this was the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I’ve been using flash drives to store all of my data and this one device replace all of them. Download speeds are exceptional and storage space is amazing. Would highly recommend.

So easy to use. Light weight considering the size, yet handy, manual, and simple. Solid product. Still pending to buy a case!

Excellent hard drive, easy to format and very portable

good capacity storage, I bought it for my ps4. However, transfer speeds are super slow. Took 25 minutes to transfer 100gb of games. I read that ssd is much better since it is faster. For the price I taught it will be much faster. The design looks good and looks durable.

My passport ultra 4T from WD, this is good portable drive, i also own a 1T that is almost full that is why i bought the 4T to backup all my files from the 1T & to have additional spaces. I never had any issue with my passport ultra, they are fast when transferring data & easy to use. So far so good w/ the 4T, i specifically like the metal case frame on the 4 T, they only thing i am not a big fan is installing the WD software on my PC. It's a great portable drive based on past experience they are very reliable, i hope the 4T will be as good as the 1T & the 250G i owned for quite some time.

4 TB of storage at this price is a great price for any disk. This storage disk is a little nicer than average imo. Compact, quiet, fast with type C connection. I'd buy it again.

Great HDD for storing a variety of data. I would have preferred an SSD but ended up buying this due to its excellent price. You can't beat the price vs benefit with this product

I can't speak to its longevity, since I only use these to archive data and then it gets locked away. But the size, capacity, and price are great. And not needing an external power supply is one of the main benefits in my opinion.

Purchased this due to many reviews listing it as one of the fastest external drives available right now. Yes, an external SSD is faster, but for this capacity is extremely expensive. The size and performance of this drive work well for my needs. It is supplementing an ultralight 2-in-1 for files I don't always need access to. It is fast enough that I can run GTA5 off of it without making the load times any worse than when I had it installed on an internal hard drive (not SSD). Ultimately, it is a high capacity drive, with enough performance to get you by.

For use as a Time Machine backup for my Apple Studio, this 4TB drive, with USB-C (fits Thunderbolt ports), has proven both convenient and reliable. Its small size allows storing in a drawer between backup events.

The storage space is such a big capacity for a very small compact device.

I have been using this drive for a couple of weeks and could not be happier. I chose a USB-C drive because that is the best version, and USB-C is the future. Two compact laptops I bought recently do not even have full size USB-A ports. It does come with a USB-A to USB-C adapter in the box. This drive is Plug and Play so as soon as I plugged it in, Windows configured it and recognized it as an external drive. It comes with WD backup and security software installed, but it is not necessary to use it. I chose this drive because it supports encryption, but I decided not to use it and am using it as an external drive at this time. I used the native Windows Backup up function in settings and it worked flawlessly. I was able to backup about 1 GB from my laptop in about 1 hour using a USB 3.0 port. This hard drive is great and if you get it you can't go wrong.

I was shopping for a small external drive for my college Photoshop class. Found this, checked competition pricing and Best Buy matched the sale price of its competitor. On top of it all, it’s amazing, small, light, and has blazing transfer speed. The 4 TB means I can carry files and thousands of huge photos to class!

Overall this external hard drive is easy to use and reliable. This is my 2nd one. The only issue was sthe initial startup. That problem: it noticeably bogged the computer down. So bad that the keyboard was basically useless. Response from the system itself was just plain horrible. To correct the lack of performance: a quick formatting of the drive and performance was what it was intended to be. I installed the basic backup program and uninstalled everything else. The reason: the drive was intended for back up purposes only. being able to include a remote site is good; however, not what I needed. Also, the same initial start up issues experienced with the 8gb quick store device: it also required a quick formatting and now it and the 4tb external drive work find. If you need storage, these drives are great once properly set up, wich for me: quick format: no more lags at all.

Very high quality product. I purchased this one to work from and wanted something durable, high speed and light so it is easy to carry. So far, it has met all expectations. Great product and would recommend.
