Other thoughts I would strongly recommend adding a heat sink. I used a MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heatsink, Double-Sided Heat Sink, with Thermal Silicone pad for PC / PS5 M.2 PCIE NVMe SSD or M.2 SATA SSD and it fit in the bay perfectly.

The r/w speeds are insane and this product will be relevant for years to come. I was able to get this amazing product for the price that people would normally pay for a lower tier gen 3 SSD and I think that's amazing.

Killer Little Drive

Very satisfied but make sure you download the WD Black Dashboard app so that you can enable the gaming mode. This definitely increased read and write speeds.

My alienware r4 m15 has 4 ssd nvme slots and i put this as the primary and rotated the other drives around. Loads games so fast that loading screens dont even get a chance to load the tips.

Had a read speed of 6600 which is way above the 5300 low end they recommend. This one is actually the m.2 that ps recommends. Just get a heat shield and your good to go.

It was so great I went ahead and bought the 2GB.
