Last Christmas I bought my very first Amazon Echo Dot and Wemo Smart Plug to check out what the Smart-Home hype was all about. Fast forward to this Christmas and I have outfitted my house with two Wemo Smart Plugs, five Wemo Smart Switches and about as many Echo devices. While the Wemo Smart Switch is not the cheapest (you can find deals during sales – Thank you Best Buy), they look good, are reliable and work marvelously with Alexa. The Wemo App is very easy to use and makes setting up a new switch painless. In short, it’s a great device that I wholeheartedly recommend, I just wish that Belkin made a version that did not require a common wire so that I can put a Wemo Switch everywhere in my home.

I bought this switch to be able to program it to turn on and off at certain times. Installation was extremely simple but make sure you turn off the power before installation. Also, one important note is this switch only works in houses that have a neutral wire and will not work with dual light switches. Okay Bonus I recently got an Amazon Echo and by voice commands I can now come into the room and say "Alexa turn on the light". This is great because I'm almost always carrying something in and can't turn the light on until I set everything down. This item is an awesome convenience to your wireless networking. Installation is a flash, it does not require a rocket science nor a book of wisdom to apply to common sense. All wires are colored and marked to connect to the respective colored wires. The beauty about this product is that you can program it (really not a programming but rather setting the timeframe to turn on/off at specified time, of course if you wish to call it programming, which contradicts my perception about the programming idea, which involves more complex set of setups and properties) to turn on/off at specified timeframe. The switch can be installed in the mix of other switches just as it shown in the pictures I uploaded, or you can install it individually if an individually available socket is feasible. Hahaha. Do to it as you wish, as it looks good to your eyes. It's all good. It cost me $14, but if you're going to pay $55 for it and then bungle it up, it might be a painstaking mess. Do your best, but do not substitute it with your worst! 7ou can't go wrong with it. This item goes along with you. It does not go against you.. Hehehehe

My wife kept on leavin the lights on in the house for the day when no one was home. I purchased a few of the WeMo wall switches and all my problems are now solved. When your using the WeMo App. on your phone it will show you if a light is on or off. You can also set up custom timers to make the lights go on or off. I have all the light going off at a certain time in the house just incase my wife forgets again. I have the two porch lights set up to go on at sunset and off 1.5 hours before sunrise.

Just like all of my other Wemo items, this works perfectly! Easy to install and program.

The wemo switch is easy to install, setup, and use as intended. To help automate your home. I now have 6 Wemo switches and the best part is there is no need for a hub. I would highly recommend this over any other brand.

I currently have 14 Wemo Light Switches, they look great & now my entire house light switches are Smart! I really like the ease of turning on lights with the Wemo app, Amazon Echo & use the rules (timer) in the Wemo App to schedule lights to come on & off.

Excellent product. Easily installed, integrates well with the WeMo App and other WeMo devices. Also easily added to Google Home device.

I have already purchased 3 of these and they look great. 1 controls my Carriage lights with a simple schedule. I have another one connected to my fan and with IFTTT integration, I also have my Nest Thermostat turning my fan on when a certain temperature happens. I have one more on my beside lights. Further more, with IFTTT integration, I have this setup with my Nest Protect so that if smoke, fire or carbon monoxide is detected, it turns on all of my WeMo switches. This light switch can also be enabled to turn on other WeMo wall outlet switches through IFTTT. Awesome!

I bought 5 light switches several months ago and the only problem I've had is one switch lost my wi-fi so I called customer support and they walked me through a reset in about 3 or 4 minutes. Didn't have to wait but a few minutes on the phone for a live person either. Easy to install too. I will probably be buying more Wemo products in the future.

The belkin switch is a lot of fun and very useful tool around the house. The biggest issue I had was the initial setup and needing to do all the firmware updates. I was a bit disappointed when the three way switches no longer worked but worth the sacrifice. Belkin has a few more things to clean up with the household integration piece, but good product, perfect for techs DIY guy.

I bought 2 of these WeMo Light Switches and installed them at the same time. One of them has been working great. It took 2 tries to get the firmware to update but its been great since then. The other one has disconnected from the internet and refused to reconnect multiple times a week in the month since I bought them. The only way to fix this so far is to factory reset it and then completely set it up again. I'm starting to get really good at it :p but I need to contact support and figure out if it is defective and how to get a new one.

It's nice to be able to turn my lights on when I am away from home. And the fact that you can have your lights come on and off automatically is a real plus.

This is exactly what I was looking for and it works with Amazon echo perfectly. Installation was easy and they look really nice

I now have four of these installed in my house. Great options of timers, I have our outdoor lights set to go on 15 minutes before sundown and 15 minutes after sunrise. You can connect it to IFTT and I have one connected to a ceiling fan that turns itself on if the outside temperature goes above 70 and turns itself off if the temp drops below 65. The app works well and the firmware is easy to upgrade. I am not very handy, but I was able to easily install the switches, it is the same as switching out a normal light switch, which I discovered is really actually easy. Connecting it to your wifi is also very easy and directions are clear. You can only install this where there is only one lightswitch connected to whatever you are turning on, so make sure that is the case in any room you want to install it in.

I've been very happy with this light switch. After testing one for a few weeks I went out and started upgrading the whole house to various wemo products. I have 5 of this particular switch and have been very happy with them. The light switch works as a regular light switch as soon as you wire it in. Using the app on my iPad to connect them to WiFi was very easy. Once I connected them to the WiFi they initially did two sofware updates. The app is very user friendly. I use it on an iPad, samsung android tablet and android phones. The rules are very easy to setup. You can setup rules to operate lights based on your location for sunset, sunrise, or time based. It is easy to select wich rules apply to which lights and to even have some lights affected by several rules. This was my first step in home automation and I have been very happy. After I leave home I can turn off all my lights and then turn them back on when I am on the way home. Overall I have been very happy with the wemo product line.
