I buy this every year and I felt it was worth it to buy the deluxe this go around so I didn't have to mess with the extra content and DLC's that I get sucked into buying every year. So buying it upfront with the Gamers Unlock brings this down a little better. This game has great graphics and good controls. It has a very big roster. The difficulty feels much harder even on the easier levels. The fun factor is there as always. The royal rumble is a lot of fun and feels more realistic although when 8 people get into it its hard to stay focused on your opponent. If you like the past games of this franchise this is no different!

This game and series has the potential to be GREAT, although currently it’s just a step above average. I think 2K sports is in such a big hurry to put this franchise out every year that they cut corners. Those are VERY apparent in this edition of the franchise. The graphics are a step above 2K17 however there are times when the characters on the screen develop a “Stretch Armstrong” characteristic rendering the rest of the match obsolete. The commentary is a step above however Saxton and Cole pretty much repeat the same phrases no matter who is in the actual match. Load times are definitely longer than previous editions. Hopefully the glitches are addressed in future patches which have been rather frequent since the release. I won’t hold my breath though. Overall it’s a time killer for a true WWE fan and is what it is. I don’t HATE it, just can’t be an impatient person or HARDCORE complainer with this one. You’ll go insane.

I will be honest, being a wrestling fan makes it easier to like the game. it does have some flaws. but I'm able to look past it. Some of the coloring is off, and computer a.i will act kind of weird during the match. but i still like this game

Superb graphics, difficult to learn all of the controls. The graphic, music and feel of the game makes it like you are really involved in WWE events. But, the controls for me are very difficult to learn, with all of the buttons, triggers, analog stick stuff. I end up trying to think what move I want to do, and by the time I remember the control buttons and thumbsticks to move, the other wrestling is beating me up! But I won't hold it against the game that I am too dumb or not fast enough to learn all of the controls. I remember back in the Nintendo/Sega gaming console days when learning the joystick controls for a game was easy!

THE BEST WWE GAME TO DATE. Graphics and controls are as fluid as ever. Looks realistic and is even more fun with the how customizable everything is.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I actually preferred 2K17 in many ways to 2k18. I was so excited for Kurt Angle/Hardy Boyz/etc to be in this one though, so I made sure to get the deluxe edition. The match rating system has been tweaked a little, making it more difficult to reach a high star rating for a match, but I did get used to it after a week or 2 of playing. I do like the addition of more wrestlers as well as new game mode (8 person matches), but on the PS4 the framerate dips HORIBLY for 6-man and up matches. Have yet to test on a PS4 pro. This game also introduced loot boxes for unlockable career mode stuff, which is frustrating given the element of chance to get things you want when you should be able to just get them. They also made it super difficult to actually level up to a decent Superstar rating in MyCareer. I'm currently at about 65 rating or so while in NXT, whereas in 2K17 I was already about a 77 when I had hit the main roster. I still recommend the game, as I'm a fan of the WWE2K games, but don't expect a massive overhaul.

This game is so much better than WWE 2K17. The graphics are much improved, the characters look great and real, and gameplay is also improved. There are some bugs and the commentary hype does not live up to its standard. Still needs much improvements. Other than that the game is really good.

Haven't bought a wrestling game in years, since at least a Smackdown vs. Raw title, but this is definitely a fun game if you're a fan or not. Great roster, great editing and creating capabilities. The deluxe edition is the way to go.

Until they release a patch I won’t go higher than 4 Stars. The graphics are amazing the rosters huge, there’s just so many glitches earlier I hope they fix it.

One of the deepest rosters in the WWE 2k series yet. Much improved graphics and the ability to have better tag matches.

I've bought every game in the series, including all the ones when THQ was still around. While I do have some tiny issues with some glitches, they aren't game breaking. As for the gameplay, it's the BEST of the series thus far. It feels like I earn my victories. And you never know what to expect from match to match, with random run ins(before, during, and after matches) and the inclusion of a Squash Match system, makes it even more of an unexpected experience. And that is AMAZING!!!! I'm impressed. You'll have some good fun with the one.

WWE games are what they are... Don't get me wrong, I love classic WWE but I never asked to play as The Bushwhackers... I may be being a little hypocritical because I love the inclusion of RVD and Batista but at least they are closer to performing let alone the prime of their career. I think there has been a general lack of improvement in areas of the game that I use frequently, namely WWE Universe mode... I want to see real changes or at least bring back GM Mode... I cannot believe that if you take graphics away this game is worse in practically every category as games that release in the early to mid 2000's along with games for the N64 that are almost as old as The Bushwhackers... I am not mad at the game as much as I am disappointed... This game could be great but they continue to leave it mediocre to ok... I hope to see real improvement in 2k19, if Universe mode remains untouched without the addition of GM Mode or something similar the I will be avoiding the next copy.

This game is so much better than WWE 2k17. They've added a ton of reversals, has a huge roster size, improved player models, the caws look closer to the in game characters, extended the backstage brawling by 3x, and have added 4 on 4 & create a match. Now don't get me wrong.. this still isn't on "Smackdown Here Comes the Pain" level when it comes to fluidity. I dont ever think there will be another game like Here Comes the Pain. That was 1 of a kind. However, this game is at least 2 levels above the previous year. Because they have added more reversals, it makes the game much smoother. Cruiserweights feel like cruiserweights. People like Neville or Finn Balor or Johnny Gargano actually feel faster and have cruiserweight like reversals. The new reversals really make some great sequences in the game. Now, dont get me wrong it is the same gameplay engine as 2k17. That's the one thing I wish they'd completely overdue. I'd like the franchise to step away from "trying to make the most realistic wrestling game possible"; and start trying to make the funnest wrestling game possible. I wish they'd go back to that "smackdown here comes the pain arcade style". But for now, this game is great.

The game is pretty much exactly how it is from previous WWE 2K games, the graphics have improved tremendously in my taste, but still no Road To Wrestlemania story for the rosters, but it is what it is, the NXT rosters are promising though especially the incoming DLC is something to look forward to.
