    Xbox1: Noticeably better than 360!

The Xbox one is an excellent product and is definitely a noticeable change from the 360 most especially in terms of games and on screen performance in terms of clarity and just overall noticeably higher technology than before. If things get any more realistic, we will be in control of an actual motion picture with real people! Let's just say, since I started out on a game called Pong… back when my uncle worked for a little start-up called Atari in the early 70s… And my favorite game between now and then was Duck Hunt and 1941…. And now we have had all the Sony's and then switched as well with a 360 and now the Xbox1… They both have their merits and their specific games, Sony with Star Wars, but the Xbox1 is really cool! My son and I are really enjoying it!

I have had my XBOX 360 for a awhile, and I love it. I waited a little bit to buy the XBOX One. Buying the XBOX One was great. I know I have to buy everything over again, such as extra controllers, and a media remote, but the new games that are just for the XBOX One are amazing, and I like the new dash board. I do not regret buying it one bit.

I bought this for my brother as a Christmas present, and he loved it. In my opinion Xbox One is the better of the next gen consoles, and I love just about everything about the system itself. The hub is very user friendly and the game lineup is unmatched by any other system. The only problem I have with this particular bundle is that, unlike it's predecessors, it doesn't come with a headset. The nextgen consoles have essentially made it so that in order to play with your friends you must do so online, so why have they stopped providing the headset like they used to? Mine was one of the originals and it came with the base model headset, but now my brother has to spend another 25 dollars on top of the 350 I already spent so that we can play online together. We were able to work around it using some samsung headphones that have the mic on them, but it's still silly that Microsoft is cheaping out in that way. Otherwise it has been excellent.

I have ps4 and intrigued to buy xbox one because of the win 10 streaming feature. I decided to give it a try and completely satisfied. Graphics are good, can't really tell the difference with ps4 either on tv or my pc monitor. As for the win 10 streaming, so far so good. Graphics on streaming is great, no noticeable control lag. I bought this particular bundle (500GB + Gears of Wars) because of three reasons: cheapest xbox one sku, gears of wars digital (first game i had on my sold xbox 360), 1tb may not be enough for me in the future and I prefer to use external drive with more space. Really recommended for all around entertainment device.

If you were a fan of the Xbox 360 you will like the Xbox One. With the most recent update the interface is fluid and easy to use. It's great to use for all entertainment purposes as it has common apps like Netflix, HBO Go, and Hulu Plus. I do not use the Cable TV pass through, but I have heard good things. You will fill up the 500GB quickly if you like to keep all your games stored on the console and have a large collection, but most external hard drives will work with the system if you do need to upgrade. Additionally you can remove games you are not playing and install them again at a later date to save space. The included game is a nice plus if you have never played the Gears of War series, otherwise it's just a graphics update. Overall a great gaming console that is constantly improving with each update.

Hook-up was easy - setting up took much longer than necessary. The old days of inserting a game CD and playing are apparently over. It took about 1/2 hour to be able to play the first game. If you don't play online (which we don't), you still need to set up a gaming profile with an email address. Each game needs to at least partially download and look for updates. Our 500GB drive is already 30% used with only a few games on it. You can't easily switch to a new avatar - you need to set up a new profile with a new email address - not happy about that aspect. Cannot yet play many of your old XBOX 360 games so don't throw out your old 360 system with your favorite games yet. On the plus side, this system has awesome graphics and lots of online capabilities.

    The Xbox One is Great

Overall this Xbox package is great for the price point of $300. If you are primarily a PC or PS4 gamer and just want the minimum (okay game and only 500GB) then this is excellent. I would suggest the 1TB bundle for those more die hard Xbox fans though as 500GB goes fast if you like to play many games. The included game, Gears of War UE, is okay but nothing great. Multiplayer is largely a headache but single player is fun with co-op.

I have been an Xbox owner since the original Xbox back in 2002, and a member of Xbox Live since 2003, so you could say I'm "heavily invested" in the ecosystem. There are a few reasons for this: Xbox has always had the games I want to play, the system has always had a fantastic controller, and it has, hands-down, the best online service of any of the console manufacturers. I have been a Halo fan since the beginning, and you can only get it for consoles on Xbox. The same for Forza and Gears of War. The Xbox One controller is the best controller made (I also have a review of the Halo 5: Guardians controller on this site) because it has the perfect size and weight for my hands - very comfortable for long gaming sessions. But perhaps the best thing about Xbox in my opinion is Xbox Live. Being able to chat online in a party with your friends - even if you're not playing the same game - is a real winner here. Another great thing about Xbox Live is that you can manage your account, see your games, and manage your friends list not only on the console, but on xbox.com as well. You can also purchase games and other content from your browser while at work, for example, and it will immediately begin downloading to your console (with the appropriate setting turned on). You can also do a lot of these same things from the SmartGlass app. Plus it has many of the most popular entertainment apps, to include Pandora, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix - to name a few. So, all-in-all, the Xbox One is a very powerful system, and will be a great addition to your digital life. And not just for gaming.

I finally purchased the Xbox One this past weekend. So far, I really enjoy the system. The games are fun and the Xbox One is much more than a game console. I plan on getting the Digital TV Tuner soon too. There are also a decent number of apps available as well. One thing to keep in mind is how much data your will use updating the system and downloading / updating games. I have satellite internet and lucky for me, our plan recently changed so I'm no longer limited to only 10GB per month. That's a good thing considering I used 30GB in 2 days between updating the system and games (Rare Replay, Trackmania Turbo and Minecraft) and downloading 2 full games (Rise of the Tomb Raider, Unravel). If you're internet connection is metered, keep that in mind. You don't "need" to be online all the time, but the initial system update is required. Other than that, I definitely recommend the Xbox One to anyone who is looking to get a new console. *Just a note: I actually purchased the "Name Your Game Bundle" at my local Best Buy even though it shows the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle for my review. Turns out, I got a voucher for Gear of War AND the Name Your Game...Bonus!!!!

Not just for gaming anymore. The next gen graphics and gaming experience are as advertised. Having the ability to turn any entertainment area into a interactive fully connected one is undervalued in my opinion. The Xbox One allows you to easily switch from gaming to live tv to movies and on demand content with the press of a button. The only reason I dont give this 5 stars is that the games use up so much memory and you can cap out on the 500GB capacity with less than 10 games. Other than that its another great product in the Xbox line

Love the new system. Great graphics and controller. Cons to it would be the long download times when you install a new game. The fan's a little loud in my opinion. You can't leave it in an enclosed space since it heats up quick. Since the console is literally a powerful gaming computer. Love that it came with a free game as well as another since I purchased it as a bundle and Best Buy matched the competitors ad. Great place to shop!!!

I've just traded my Playstation 4 in for this bad boy for one reason. The controller. Just my personal preference but with the new elite controller coming out its a game-changer. The new windows 10 update does clutter up the screen as is not easy to navigate. Graphics and frame rate are similar to PS4 but still have to give the edge to playstation. Xbox live is more secure and crashes less often than the playstation. 4 out of 5

Bought this as gift for grandson, age 15, he explored all the systems decided this is one he wanted for features and playability. He's extremely happy with it. Teens know what's a great purchase. He will use it for years to come. It was a great value for price. Best Buy is great to deal with, had it ready on time

A great bundle at a great price. I purchased it for the holidays with an extra controller and free game so it was an amazing deal. Gears of War Ultimate edition is nice and if you play it online before Dec.31 2015 you get all the previous gears of war for the xbox 360 which are backwards compatible on the xbox one.

The only real thing I really don't like is I purchased the 500gb and the the 3 games I got was the new need for speed, gta 5 and gears of war and they had to be installed on the console and between those games and the operating system it used up like 35% of my memory. So if you are interested getting one get the 1t or get a large external hard drive. Other than that great console and great graphics.
