FINALLY taking this off my backlog, & I must say, this game brings the series back to its form of the original Xenoblade Chronicles. I'm far enough into this to say that this is my 2nd favorite Xenoblade -- after the 1st game, that is, which is my all time favorite (part of that also has to do with having been part of Operation Rainfall to bring the 1st game to the West on the Wii). As I said, this brings the series back into its truer form with a tone similar to the 1st game, & drops the overused anime tropes that Monolith Soft tried in the 2nd game. There's too much good to say about this game, so I'll simply say that this game will keep you busy for many hours .... maybe even months.

Awesome game with great additional content. Cool story line and fun battles and challenges along the way. Very fun JRPG, dad I beat it and the story ended.

Excellent jrpg. Fans of the first two games will get a lot more out of this one, but it's still a good game to come into cold because it will make you want to play the other two.

A phenomenal Epic rounding out a superb trio of jrpgs. This game pushes the switch as far as it can with excellent visuals, storytelling, and music.

favorite game in the series thus far. knows when to be light hearted and when to stay serious. keeps a nice balance of everything at all times. i haven't ever had to grind as i enjoy the game i keep getting caught up in the side quests along the way.

I have put a ton of hours into this game. The syory and gameplay are excellent.

Best game in the series hands down. The story stands on its own even if you haven't played the first two games (although I recommend them since they're also on this console). It's also easily the among the best stories in a Nintendo published game. As to be expected with the series, it creates a broad premise to construct the world around, and creates a perfect story around that world, with every aspect of that world thoughtfully considered. If you have any question about how the world and its people work, it will probably be answered in the main story or through side content. As someone who loves the first two, this game's gameplay is both the most accessible while also being the most complex, if you know what to do with it. It borrows most from Xenoblade 2's gameplay, but with different Blades being replaced with different Heroes, each with their own class, who are unlocked through quests as you progress the story (many are optional, but all are easily obtainable unlike Blades). The new system allows for immense party customization without overwhelming the player with options (there's even an autofill button for character equipment!) Whether you're playing casually or wanna go all in, this game has a fantastic story with dozens of hours of optional additional content (all the side quests are actually really good and worth doing!). If this game even remotely interests you, you won't regret playing it.

While playing the game it felt like the developers of the Xenoblade games have been building up to this moment. The gameplay, story, graphic and music have all been honed to near perfection. Each character has their own beliefs and story to tell. The gameplay is solid. Plus the game is packed with things to do. If you've enjoyed any of the previous Xenoblade games then you will most likely enjoy this new addition to the Xenoblade franchise. A must buy for fans.

This is the game I wanted Final Fantasy 15 to be. Open world JRPG done right. The way the gameplay mechanics and the exploration and the character interactions and story all come together, is incredible. Like other games in the series story and characters are the best part of the game. I completed the story last night and it was jaw dropping good. It will stay with me for a long time and was a fitting end to the trilogy. Xenoblade chronicles 3 is going to be my personal favorite game of the year and possibly one of my favorite of all time. Absolute incredible journey from beginning to end. I clocked in 80 hours to roll credits but their was probably at least 50-70 more hours of side quests, bosses and places to explore. I didn’t even come close to seeing everything. Couldn’t recommend this game more.

Incredible JRPG. I have many fond memories of playing classic JRPG’s growing up, however, in recent years I feel like JRPG’s, in general, haven’t matched the quality I remember. The Xenoblade Chronicles games have been an exception to that, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has become my favorite in the series, and also one of my favorite JRPG’s EVER. The story is sooooo good. The characters are all extremely well written, and I loved every single one. The combat system is one of the best I’ve ever experienced in a JRPG (similar to the first two games, but refined). The game easily clocks in at the 70-80 hour mark, but offers dozens more if you’re into side quests. The soundtrack is also one of the best I’ve ever heard. Seriously, this game doesn’t pull any punches. This is one that will stick with you for a long time. In fact, I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

Worthwhile addition to the Xenoblade franchise. Fun combat all the way through and captivating characters and story. And of course the music is always banging.

This game doesn’t try to reinvent the series. If you enjoyed the previous two then you’ll enjoy this one. The story is basically two sides are fighting, because reasons, and a group from each side end up getting entangled in a pivotal event and are then labeled traitors by their respective sides so have to team together to survive, and together solve the mystery to why they’re fighting and why things are they way they are. It’s simple enough of a story that first-timers can enjoy but playing the first two will help you appreciate certain elements better. And the main characters are all enjoyable to see their interactions and growth. Game lasts for a good long time if you try for all of the side quests, events, bosses, etc. So there is value for the price. Side optional bosses, which are often harder to beat then story bosses, are very satisfying to defeat, which requires some strategizing and properly chaining attacks.

XC3 is hand down one of the best experiences on the Switch. The combat, the story, the characters, the music. Everything is top notch.

If you are a fan of the Xenoblade series, or JRPG's in general, you will love this game. It is one of the best looking games on the Switch, and has a new approach to the Xenoblade gameplay (fighting and open world). The story is much more serious than Xenoblade 2, and there are a lot of heavy emotional themes involving death and grief. The battle mechanics are introduced well and not too complicated to master. I recommend playing the other two games first, but this can defiantly be your first to play without being confused.

Outstanding visuals, story, gameplay, music, and characters. It’s addictive and truly magical. Perhaps the best entry in the Xenoblade Chronicles series.
