I’ve bought two of these simple Yamaha receivers in the last year. They are great to add stereo to spots in your home where you don’t need 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. And the built in Bluetooth compatibility is great... you can stream music from your cellphone or IPad. The receiver works well provided you hook up a good antenna. You can drive two or four speakers (the more efficient the speakers, the better). I have a variety of Klipsch bookshelf speakers that work great with this receiver. You also have 3 line inputs in addition to the AM/FM receiver and Bluetooth input. You can’t hook up an old style record turntable without preamplication, but not many folks use them anymore. There is no separate output for a subwoofer, but you could hook up a powered subwoofer to the speaker B output. Don’t expect the performance of a $1,000 amplifier/receiver, but I think you’ll be quite pleased with the quality of this Yamaha, especially for the price. And the remote control is very nice. I absolutely love it... that’s why I bought a second one for a guest bedroom. Of course you can run your TV “sound out” to the receiver. Just remember you won’t have surrounded sound, but you can have four speakers. I’ve also run my Sanyo Clip MP3 Player through this amplifier.

The Yamaha 200W 2-channel stereo receiver is a simple, bare-bones receiver for a low-key audio system at home or work. The internal Bluetooth connectivity is a great addition since pretty much everything has a Bluetooth connection these days. One issue I had was the size of the opening for the speaker wires. I wish they were a little wider to accommodate older, thicker wires.

Bass is weak also there is no loudness button for low volumes. So compared to a car this has no low end torque. Much like a vtec the volume must be high to move the speakers. I use it for computer games input from computer. I do like the blue tooth function to stream music .

I bought this for my Bar/party room and patio/deck outside. I ran two speakers outside and got two inside.Lots of preset stations, and connected the Onkyo 6 disc changer to it. I have the option of just hearing the inside speakers,or just the outside, or all 4.

I’m really liking this stereo. I have a more expensive “home theater” stereo and it’s too complicated. This stereo is meant to jam music and that’s what it does. It’s prettt powerful for the price. I really like it.

Bought this to power 4 sets of in ceiling speakers along with a OSD speaker controller. This unit has plenty of power to do the job. Elegant styling. Very useful remote. Absolutely recommend this unit if you are looking for a simple solution to whole house audio.

Wish it had a little bit more power . I bought small Klipsh bookshelf speakers and need to have receiver on 75 out of 100 to push . My old receiver you wouldn’t dare pushing past 40.
